For example, if some people in a room are passing $1000 in circle, in a little while it legally becomes government's.Assuming your wording is correct, and that is the case... Citizens being a substrate of the government, and citizens' possessions being under personal ownership rights is where you start. If the possessions cease to be personally owned, the item still falls under the protection of the government. in order to "keep track" of possessions when ownership shifts, the government, if it supposedly protects a right of personal possessions, needs to enforce the ownership, which requires money for bookkeeping and enforcing. that's an inheritance tax or any other release of possession tax, effectively. If there is no specific target for the released item, then upon release, it defaults to the government. My guess is that in the money circle exchange you presented, since money is a trade commodity, ownership is official only by physical proof, be it a bank statement or manually handling the cash. If it's being passed around, then each time, it is effectively having its ownership released, but with people continuing to pass it, none of them are displaying ownership of the item. As such, there is no specific target for the released item, in this case, the money, so it is defaulted to government ownership.

I almost never put actual hard work to study - I enjoyed some fraction of it so it didn't feel that hard - and got one of the best results, still I respected and never underestimated people who worked hard, some of them way harder than me, even if they did worse in the end. And surely I haven't been condescending towards them or thought I'm better.

It's not even 2.1, it's 2:1. It's not really a numerical grading system at all, just the class of degree from from from 1st, 2:1 (2nd class: upper portion), 2:2 (2nd class: lower portion), 3rd, are you serious did you put no effort in, and total fail.

Half-assing my way to a 3.1/4.0 sounds like something worth bragging about. And I need all the ego bolstering I can get, seeing as my grant money has run out, and I will have to take out student loans, something I was vehement ally against. Of course, taking my defeatist attitude and pessimistic outlook into account, this has basically caused a state of panic for me.

I know its difficult and that at some point everything will feel like effort, but what I've found in the past 5 or so years is that things feel real good when you actively want to do what you're learning and it doesn't feel like effort anymore.

Countries aside (yeah, that is actually a major factor), it also requires you thinking about what you want to do early on. I didn't know I'd like doing Computing until after I'd finished Engineering.

I had physics/maths specialized high school, and while it did have almost twice as much physics and maths as other schools would have, I still had three language courses, two languages' literature, history, geography, and biology. University is much more specialized, the only thing out of specialization is language&literature(as one subject) or history and philosophy, biweekly.

So, I got a job today. Cashier, at the local grocers.


I was unsure of what I'd do with the money, after I paid for gas, and if I could not think of something worthwhile, I would turn down the job. Too much work, when I could be spending my summer break sitting on my ass all day enjoying doing absolutely nothing other than reading Manga, watching Anime and playing video games. I will take this job, put my full effort into what is asked of and required of me, and a fair amount of effort into doing unnecessary things to appease my employer, and I will allow honeyed words flow from my mouth, and replace my usual, sardonic smile with a phony "I actually hope you have a good day, stranger" smile. I will work my ass off, throughout the summer, and through summer school. Because I WILL get me a gaming PC. I WILL get Skyrim and the DLC for it, and I WILL enjoy the GLORIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL texture mods, as well as other things while letting my Servant accompany me across Tamriel.


But, what rig shall I get? Were I a run-of-the-mill sap, I'd just buy an Alienware gaming rig, and may roughly 40% more for something I could make myself that would be twice as good and for half the price. However, I am not a run-of-the-mill sap, oh no, I am a special sap. I am going to rely on the friend of a cherished one, someone who I do not know at all and have no reason to trust, to arrange a rig for me, and help me place the order from, I think, this site. Best case scenario, I get a good gaming rig that can run any Skyrim mods I want, even the most ridiculously HQ texture mods, and watch Anime in the highest quality, and do this all seamlessly, on a budget of 1k... Worse case scenario? This sap knows nothing and I end up wasting the first grand I've had in a damn long time. A DAMN. Long. Time. The fact that I live with my grandparents who live on social security, and the fact that keeping food in the house has recently become a problem also contributes to my resolve... But not nearly as much as the potential for a decent rig.


Welp... Here's hoping. I start tomorrow, so I'm going to go ahead and go to sleep... And, because I am partially excited, partially scared out of my mind at the prospect of wasting a grand, I'm going to post this as a blog post as well... Or, if your reading this from my blog, I'm going to post this in the Random Thoughts thread.

After getting through those classes. I making a good note to make sure to find plenty of ways to deal with procrastination where I'm going...

I don't have to tell anybody how to deal with procrastination. Sometimes you just need to take a break and something might just come up the next time you do a paper or something.

Was fighting a Gorecyclops for a very short while with exactly 1 HP left. Then I died. Used Wakestone. It had two or three health bars left. I don't remember. Only had a large nut as the last curative left. Didn't have to use it, and somehow managed to kill then Gorecyclops.
