I prefer wine so I can look classy as I swill it around while I look at some post-modern art.

Wine is indeed good, but not always something available.

stouts are the based beer and ciders are like drinking candy. but to yell about hate for alcohol when you've tasted only piss water? talk about undue hate. that's like saying all jews know how to make bagels or something else stupidly ridiculous. seriously, stop hating on the people's poison of choice.

I can agree with this, I don't get why some people find it funny, I just found it weird then annoying.

Fiirst time I got drunk was with trash Vodka and milk. I just started mixing random stuff with it cos I thought it would make it taste better. A sniff of alcohol is almost enough to make me throw up now, not too sure why. What does wine taste like anyway? It always seemed like that'd be the best path to inebriation without the horrid taste but I've never had the opportunity to try it.

or learn to take shots properly. if it touches the tongue, you're taking your shot wrong.

Wine tastes exactly like what it would seem to taste like, if it's a basic wine. grape juice with alcohol in it.
taste actually varies an extreme amount, due to there being many factors involved in the brewing process. the base grape's natural sweetness; grape maturity; time spent fermenting; the type of wood it was fermented in; etc. the alcohol comes from the yeast consuming the sugars and converting it to alcohol. the more yeast, the more alcohol. the longer the yeast gets to eat the sugar, the more alcohol. the more sugar present, the more the yeast can convert. likewise, a shorter fermentation period means less sugar is consumed, so the wine is potentially sweeter, though that's still dependent on the amount of sugar in the grapes. since it sits in fermentation vats typically made of wood, the wood will also leave a flavor-impression if given enough time. "how wine tastes" is an entire subculture in and of itself.

Same with beers, ales, and ciders. Differences in brewing procedures, including but not limited to proportions of ingredients and fermentation times all produce an extremely wide range of possible flavors.

Iirc you can make wines out of pretty much any fruit and yeald; i once made pineapple-wine, and i generally like drinking mete, , which is made by fermenting honey. Grapes are just the standard because they already naturally have some yeald on them.

I think the word tart is used to describe wine? I don't like it.

Flavours I tend to tolerate best are mixes with soft drinks, but I like the taste of spirits better actually.

I avoid any more than a few units of alcohol when I do drink though, because my biology doesn't react too well with metabolytes -.-

Honestly I'd just go for ciders and them pre-mixed cocktails you can buy that have a very low alcohol content. 3l of it is still enough to get drunk and it barely has the taste of alcohol.

Besides once your getting drunk the taste of alcohol bothers you less.

Goddammnit i overslept
and i had the longest, most complicated movie in ages. Aczually worthy of a movie script, maybe i should write it down.
Strange was just that it was a sequel first, and after it ended i started dreaming the first minutes of the prequel... It involved gene-manipulated flora, nature-activists, generally cyberpunk at a world shortly before Apocalypse, racing with organical vehicles, a mysterious entity at the goal line and a silver-haired clone girl that the protagonist .needed to prevent from making contact with the entity, otherwise a bunch of vulcans would erupt simultaneously again and push earth closer to the sun

How was the climax man? Did you have some sort of decisive fight or anything?

I remember this one dream that I had about a month ago. It was a zombie apocalypse based one with mutated shit everywhere (That's what I get for marathon-ing the Resident Evil movies into the night). So anyway, in the end, I had the device with which I could turn back time and fix everything.
At this point, the Axeman from Resident Evil (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nNz-9XqRyPU/TFzpk_ebAcI/AAAAAAAAAGc/Q68lPjutfYc/s1600/RE+4+Afterlife+Ali+Larter.jpg) was after me and I somehow reached my room. It was snowing and the ceiling was already long gone. There were sparks everywhere and that's where the climax occurred.
Man. It was awesome. The device wasn't working so I had to evade/fight the guy for a few minutes before it started working again and damn. Even if it was a dream, that adrenaline rush was sweet. I had my arm chopped off at some point when that fucker threw the damn axe at me and then I grabbed a steel bar and threw myself at him. Managed to push him down and then I just kept stabbing, hitting and evading. At some point, I had another steel bar in my hand and with that, I stabbed his head. Dragged myself to the device and then I just woke up.

Dreams like this make living worth it.

HF is at least longer than Fate and UBW in terms of in-game days. I believe it is also longer in terms of text than both Fate and UBW combined. I can't remember to be sure though.

She is very important; I acknowledge that I cannot live a successful life without her--which means I already know she is important. I don't need her to be gone to know.

And yep, distance is a good thing. It seems like her irritability/irritableness is quite influencing. I think as a person, and originally, I'm an easygoing, cheerful guy. But her irritability/irritableness is rubbing off on me.

Yep. I don't even know where to start. Five episodes in, I like it very much already. Reading the summary in KissAnime made me watch it. And yeah, I agree with ya. A college setting feels refreshing.

ALSO YUI HORIE IS AWESOME. OMFG, FANBOY SQUEAL. BIG FAN OF HER. KUSHIEDA MINORI AND HANEKAWA TSUBASA'S VOICE. First started loving/being a huge fan of Minori. Then started to appreciate Hanekawa more. The catalyst for that was Yui Horie's voice. Now I'm a big fan of both chars. (But Minori will always be tops though.)

Not evil, just coincidentally damaging.

Nah. I still think it's evil. Think about this:

A man is driven to murder.

What if he started first as a good person, but because of ignorance he is driven to hate, which lead to him murdering someone?

Now that ignorance could be this: His parents were ignorant on how to be good parents. They were ignorant on how their actions can influence on how a child--their child--develops emotionally. Now factor in a lot of other variables that contributed to the man becoming a murderer. Those things also can be caused by ignorance. They may be small things to the naked eye, but in reality, these things can be contributing factors that made the man a murderer.

So, the small things that led and contributed to the evil result are evil themselves because they are components of the evil result.

You can see it this way:

Think of a suspension bridge. Let's say that the bridge is the evil result, and the components/parts that make it up are the contributing factors. Aren't those parts just as guilty as the bridge itself because they make up the bridge?

Ivan The Mouse

Murdering someone over hate is a choice. Ignorance is not. Now whenever he chooses to learn or not, it's again his choice.

Well, small innocent things like raising your child in a way that restricts him from doing many things, then giving him sudden freedom will either result to him or her being disciplined with this freedom or going full haywire over it. That's according to psychology. A person, might have he been raised in a certain way, still has the choice on how he will act or live his life. Besides, it's not just parents who contribute on how children are raised. How about the teachers, the other adults they meet or the other kids? It is not that easy. If a person ends up being ignorant, it's his choice to not learn anymore. If he chooses to kill, it's his choice to kill.

You can see it this way:

Think of a suspension bridge. Let's say that the bridge is the evil result, and the components/parts that make it up are the contributing factors. Aren't those parts just as guilty as the bridge itself because they make up the bridge?

So does this mean that an authoritarian government has all of its workers under it always agreeing on the actions of this government? There would be people working under this government who are just in it for the living expenses but don't agree with their policies. Does that make them evil? More so, does a country under a dictatorship mean that everyone in this country agrees with this kind of policy?

If you are a good person, does that change if your family is criminal? Does that make you a criminal? You are a part of their family, still, so does that mean you're criminal now?

Murdering someone over hate is a choice. Ignorance is not. Now whenever he chooses to learn or not, it's again his choice.

That's too specific, Mouse. That's premeditated murder. What if the dude just lost control of his emotions and flew into a rage instantaneously? Then he murders someone. His parents are responsible for being ignorant on how to properly raise a/their child by meeting the kid's emotional, psychological, and physical needs.

Yep. Other factors may have roles, too.
But remember that they don't always think about the choice. Like I said above, they may fly into a rage, which was cultivated by the ignorance of the parents. This example is just one example though.

Hmmm. I was only focusing on components in the example I gave. But it sounds like they are at a very difficult position. I don't they are evil. They sound trapped and/or cornered. But perhaps to some extent they are guilty. Depends on how evil the actions of the government is. Because as far as I know, they have the ability to unite and form a resistance against the government.

As for the criminal family part, it depends. It depends how old the person is? If they're a kid, I don't think you can blame them for not doing anything. But if they're an adult, shouldn't they do something then? Because if you think about it, "the only way for evil to triumph is for the good to do nothing" as said by Edmund Burke.

If they are able to do that, they are legally insane. Insanity is not result of how someone was raised alone, there are also factors like genetics or what happen beforehand. And besides, if you could actually murder someone out of rage, that's not because of rage, it's because you think this person should die. It's a choice.

People can be afraid to die, obviously, for various reasons like they have a family to feed or they think it's not worth it. Or perhaps they're not wanting to revolt anymore because of reasons like cynicism. You know, they just gave up and said fuck it. That said, that doesn't answer the question. A government is authoritarian. Does that make the whole populace hold an authoritarian belief?

Well, there's this thing we have in us people that's called sentimentality. It's the reason why we keep things like broken radios if we have a memory associated with it, even though it is a broken radio, it only takes space and is useless. True. But my point is that ignorance can be a part of the groups of factors.

Also, Mouse, I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that there are many reasons on why a person might kill someone. Flying into a rage is lost of control, just like how you subconsciously punch something when you're very, very angry.

Again, it's a choice because rage can't alone made a person murder someone, it's a conscious intent too.

Not all the time. I don't think a person consciously wants to rage if the original cause is an outside source or person who provoked the murderer in the first place. Like I said, it's not that simple. It's not as plain and simple as "I plan to kill this person/I should not kill this person".

And what if they know that this resistance is ineffective and futile? Like, you know, they're afraid of their lives. ========================-------------------------------------------============

I think there may have been maybe some sort of misunderstanding. What I'm saying is that "Ignorance can be evil if it leads to and/or if it's a component of something evil". Maybe that is not the case all the time. But there are some cases in which it is.

Yes, it can be a factor. But that doesn't make ignorance evil itself.

Also, Mouse, I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that there are many reasons on why a person might kill someone. Flying into a rage is lost of control, just like how you subconsciously punch something when you're very, very angry.

The "subconsciously punching someone" doesn't exist. It's not a reflex. It's a conscious decision. You chose to punch that person. Rage is an emotion, not the lost of control. You can suppress it. You can name-call instead. You can walk away instead. You can punch a wall instead. Or murder the person. It's a choice on how you deal with emotions, so how is rage so different?

Not all the time. I don't think a person consciously wants to rage if the original cause is an outside source or person who provoked the murderer in the first place. Like I said, it's not that simple. It's not as plain and simple as "I plan to kill this person/I should not kill this person".

Then there's a provocation. But again, it's a choice. Yes, it's not black and white, just as a point has infinite lines going through it, according to geometry. There's a choice on how to deal with it. And the choices are many.

Nope, it doesn't.

Nope.

Therefore, if a bridge is evil, then that doesn't mean that the rivets holding it together, the steel that makes it up and the cables that hold it up aren't necessarily evil. The same thing like how a dictator could rise to power. He could have determination, optimism, hope, good intentions and the support of the majority which is the political equivalent to the power of friendship. But he's still a dictator that doesn't give his people freedom. Does that make the after mentioned qualities evil? No. A movie has good moral values, does that make the movie a good quality move? Nope. Never assume that just because the whole is like this doesn't mean the parts that make are also like that.

I think there may have been maybe some sort of misunderstanding. What I'm saying is that "Ignorance can be evil if it leads to and/or if it's a component of something evil". Maybe that is not the case all the time. But there are some cases in which it is.

I think what I mean is that there are times when ignorance is evil, and there are times when it is not. Because during the times that it is not, it is most likely the case of not knowing something, for we cannot know everything right?

Maybe you're right. I'm not sure. All I know is that I think there are times when we cannot fully control our reactions. And the cause/provocation may be as guilty as the one who lost control.

You're right on the "Never assume..." part. It really depends, Mouse. We are only talking generally. The whole may be evil and so may the parts. The whole may be evil and the parts may not be evil. The whole may not be evil and the parts may be evil. Or they're both not evil.

They could but again, it's a choice of the person to change their beliefs. You can present all the logical and rational arguments that all the world could give but if the person doesn't listen, then what you're doing could be pointless or even damaging.

That wasn't my wording.
This was:

I'd argue that ignorance and stupidity are evil.

Not evil, just coincidentally damaging.

Uhhh, I think we were both generalizing.

Also, I think you did not catch that I was describing "ignorance" with the adjective "evil". Because if I used "evil" as a noun, then I would be saying that all cases of ignorance are evil. That is because of the logic "ignorance = evil". That is not the case. What I meant was only specific cases of ignorance are evil. That's why I used it as an adjective. Sorry though. I didn't clarify.

You're missing the point. I did not mean to say/imply that I am not trying to change your views/beliefs. I'm saying that beliefs are views of things, and that they are almost impossible or very, very hard to change. I merely was pointing out the definition of belief.

Because sometimes, the more you argue and explain to a person, the more that they will not take it, not because they think you are wrong but because they think you're forcing it. I like really big errors in subbing, lol. Errors like this one from the Hulu-hosted Kill la Kill episode 1.

Nonon's line 「でも、あのハサミ、わざわざ回収を命じてたけど、あれなんなの、皐月さま?」 was translated as "Still, I was shocked to see that that scissor could cut a Goku Uniform. How can this be, Lady Satsuki?"

The actual translation is "But you specifically ordered the retrieval of that scissor. What was that about, Satsuki-sama?"

Even more amusing is that Satsuki's answer 「あれは対極制服用に開発された特別な武器だ』 , which was correctly translated as "It's a special weapon that was developed to combat Goku Uniforms," is appropriate no matter if the translation used for the previous line was correct or incorrect.

I wonder how many more lines were really badly translated now.

M'kay.

I have no excuse since Marisa is mai waifu. She's cute, she's lovely because of her out-of-the-mold and badass personality and because I dunno. She is everything to me. But then, she drawn like a loli.

Goddamn it.
