I have to buy both the rice and the curry separately. And it have to be microwave compatible.

Tesco is definitely the worst supermarket. It's shit but about the same price as asda and morrisons. Lidls is probably my fav because it's cheap but they sell some quality stuff. Shame that everyone has cottoned on though. My parent's shopped there before it was cool (we still have loads of cans in case the shit hits the fan for lidls from the early 2000s I reckon).

I've never checked to see if the curry cubes were microwavable...

Our supermarkets are getting better but there's still a lot of horrendous microwave food out there.

I've never checked to see if the curry cubes were microwavable...

Our supermarkets are getting better but there's still a lot of horrendous microwave food out there.

There's decent microwave rice now at least... though it tastes a little off from what I'm used to.

We're basically a giant stereotype of a rural southern town. Racist, Homophobic, not very well educated, everything is far apart. And of course there are more cows and horses than people. Keeping in mind that there are not a whole lot of cows or horses either. Could still be worse. Could be Vidor.

I've finished conquering the iron guy's territory. They had every chance to eradicate me at the beginning but they halfassed all their attempts. I was capable of barely repelling their advances and then I finally built a black castle where I could breed powerful dragons. After biding my time and gold I finally bought fifty-three dragons to ride into battle. It was all really easy after that, except I only had one hero that could operate in their vast territory so I had to reconquer some castles. Then I sent in another hero with fifty-two dragons. All of their territory was mine except for one castle that was hidden away. I sailed across the lake to conquer it and I emerged victorious. Only seventeen dragons survived the siege, however.

Here the quality of most of their products is okayish and their fruit and veggies are second only to the market for most seasons. But since we are used to absolutely lousy quality and service of domestic companies, I don't think that's telling for how good they are objectively.

Well, memes which have been rendered unfunny due to overuse tend to be funny again upon using them once again in a specific incident.

And before you say "it was never funny in the first place", then it would never have been an overused meme if it was never funny in the first place. Again, memes only start to become unfunny due to overuse. Use them once in a while, then it becomes funny again.

Memes are much more often unfunny than funny.

That's because you see them everywhere. And jokes which are funny spread around and become memes. But memes are, by nature, spread all over, in which they then become unfunny.

In other words, jokes which become memes only become funny for a short time as a meme before they get inevitably too widespread and become unfunny.

Something becomes a meme because it's catchy not necessarily funny, you could say that "overuse" defines a meme. The thing here is though that some people don't think obvious dick jokes are funny even the first time even if there's no argument about it being catchy.

Which supermarket you buy from is a very serious marker of one's class and wealth in the UK. If I told another British person I shopped at Aldi or Lidl (bottom rung), they would get a very different impression of me than if I said Tesco/Sainsbury's (the truth), which is in turn a step down from Asda or Morrison's, which are still below M&S or Waitrose (my parents). It's a pretty quick and easy reference point for us. One of my housemates from last year shopped at Waitrose while a student, which meant that she had way too much money and too little sense to go with it.

Also, if I ever have to lower myself to Lidl again, I will have done something really wrong with my life. Actually awful. I may be an incredible Scrooge, but that was the day I learnt I have limits.

From what I gathered it's rather that becoming a teacher makes you hate children
I can confirm this.

And I'm not even a professional teacher.

What if you just don't shop at the market at all.

Just back from the hell that is my goddamn graduation thesis (still not completed, actually), and tried my hand at F/GO a month ago. And addicted like a drug that I forgot to send it to my lecturer.

How to cure this avid gaming obsession? No, more accurately, could you guys teach me how to live a life properly?

It's the perfect anime plot. Add a plucky teenage Lidl shopper looking for his place in life and trying to convince people he's not a smelly hobo.
