do you guys ever have dreams about your elementary school? not necessarily about when you went to it, just dreams involving the building/area

for some reason i always have dreams about it. it's probably the most common location for my dreams, though the layout is always a bit fucked compared to how it actually is

The experiences undergone by boys at the great public schools, their glories and disappointments, are so intense as to dominate their lives and to arrest their development. From these it results that the greater part of the ruling class remains adolescent, school-minded, self-conscious, cowardly, sentimental, and in the last analysis homosexual.

That's a movie, it was on HBO last night. It turns out it wasn't Adrian Brody that did it, it was the guy in the car with him, but he had to take the fall or he'd never get put in the time traveling straight jacket.

If I ever get robbed, guns or not, I want a professional. I want a guy who knows when I am in class, quietly broke the lock on one of my windows a week back, knows where my safe is and came with the tools to unscrew my TV from the wall. I can fix that shit. The one I don't want is the guy at 1:30 in the morning whose dealer just told him his tab is up and he needs a hundred bucks before he can get his next hit.

Here it's more of a "break the lock get in grab all electronics and shit that looks valuable" get out kind of thing.

And apparently scouting is common to make sure that the aforementioned thing where you get awkward stares doesn't happen as the people that do this generally want to do this more than once.

you know yesterday or the day before I read that California was facing on influx of a particular black snake with a yellow stripe down its stomach that was one of Africa's...and therefor the world's...most poisonous snakes.

apparently el nino is blowing them in.

California, where its mostly drought, and when it rains, it rains ridiculously poisonous snakes.

is it really that hard to turn the heat down and do something else for a few minutes? and maybe scoop out fat or grease that's pooling at the top?

look anything that I cant just simmer on a low heat while I read a book, and then cover in garlic when I finish like a good little italian, isnt easy for me.

steaks and grilled fish dont count. grilling is a requirement for a texan male.

and hell, I use a dry rub, its pretty much the same there too, except sans garlic.

I've been Spinach/Spin for so long that either of these words actually trigger in my brain the exact same reaction that my real name does. If I look at a list of things and see spinach (the vegetable) my eyes lock onto it like it's highlighted in red. Same with the word spin, as in the verb.

Saying this, I realize I've had this name for like eight years and used it consistently all this time.

You need more grease. Anytime someone says they don't like eggs, the problem is they aren't frying them in enough good thick bacon grease. Bacon greased eggs, some Texas toast, sausage and cheese, and I'll make a believer out of any egg skeptic with that sandwich.
