I agree, which is why my response to Snow's paraphrased comment of "providing first aid as a civic duty" to be "No, it's not.", as even some region's common laws state that you, the potential Good Samaritan, have no legally binding requirement to act in aid of someone else. When in reasonable doubt, don't interfere.

Please read what I wrote after that before counter-arguing. In my country if you have a driver's licence, you have first aid training by default and you are required to offer it if:

a) providing it does not directly endanger you or others

b) you stick to First Aid - stopping bleeding, choking, minimizing risk of spine injury and so on.

Said first aid is deemed as an obligation for a trained citizen to provide because it literally SAVES LIVES in the hundreds if not thousands every year. And yes, doing more than you were trained to do is against the principles of first aid, but doing less or nothing when it could have saved someone or prevented disability (and you have the training) could get you in trouble.

Truth be told most of it applies to car accidents where you have the obligatory first aid kit at hand, but my training also covered everyday situations and accidents, like said choking, poisoning with various household chemicals, strokes and nosebleeds.

That's just regular car license training btw.

Just had a Fate/Stay Night related dream. It just started out as fighting some random enemies with powers that had nothing to do with Type-Moon (such as Force chokes), but after the battle was over, it cut away to a scene of Tohsaka Rin being "healed" by her sister. Of course, being Nasuverse-inspired, the dream took a turn into NSFW territory.

Rin was obviously naked, although my dream annoyingly applied a "censor blur" effect to her chest, and Sakura was sitting by her… or rather Dark Sakura was, though there was a glimpse of Sakura's former appearance, as if it was a memory of Rin's. Sakura didn't seem to have her usual dress on, though she seemed to be wearing some sort of lingerie. As for the method of healing (never mind that healing would be out of Dark Sakura's character), it seemed like Sakura was literally licking Rin's wounds, transferring her power through the saliva. It all had a very yuri, incestuous vibe.

I can't remember having a dream with such explicit imagery before, or at least not in a long time.

And then I had another vivid dream, although it was more nightmarish in that I saw someone being lynched/shot while driving along the road (and beforehand I had to dodge pieces of smoking debris in the road), and when I tried to call the cops from a safe place a little further along the road I kept entering the wrong phone number in my nervousness. I have no idea why I'd dream about that though. Why can't I have more dreams like the one with Rin and Sakura?

Sorry. I hadn't posted a spoiler in a long time, so it took me a few attempts to remember how to do it correctly. It's fixed now.

Anyways, the enemies in the first dream were some sort of orc I think (how this goes together with Force powers from Star Wars… I have no idea) and we were trying to retrieve some sort of key from them. Rin didn't appear until the second part of the dream, which was stated to be after the fight. Though in the meantime there was some sadist on the team, who while they were effective in dispatching the enemy also seemed to like digging the edge of a sharp knife into my hand. I have no idea who they were supposed to be either.

As for the one with Rin and Sakura the censor effect wasn't so heavy that I couldn't see the general shape of Rin's breasts, though their details were obscured

And in the last dream, when I actually got through to the cops and they were asking if what I had seen was really just a nightmare, I acknowledged that it could be, though I still wanted them to send help in case it wasn't. The fact that the dream was supposedly set in my hometown, but was on some windy road that I'd never been on before should have been my first clue that none of it was real.

Well, when I pretty much say, "What's this? Why do you have a marked quiz from another class section under your paper?" that's pretty much a direct accusation of cheating / public shaming.

Unfortunately, I'm not the best with keeping names and faces straight in my mind when I first meet people, and as I confirmed the copying later in the class and saw a student with their phone out I told them they were in enough trouble already - except now I was accusing the wrong person, one just seated in the same section of the classroom, while the culprit was still down in the office, explaining their side of the story. I apologized for the mistake - but it also made my accusation of cheating on the true culprit's part clear to the rest of the class.

No. I just wrote up and submitted a disciplinary referral, and presented the evidence of their cheating to the assistant principal after school (including both quizzes), along with leaving a note to their regular teacher about the incident.

Though since another word for proctoring tests is to "invigilate" them you could say I've pretty much "EXTERMINATED" their grade on that quiz. You know, like the Daleks. Since my brother started studying in Canada (where he learned the word "inviigilate"), the Dalek Test Invigilator has been a running joke between us.

I think that nominally exists still, but any sort of suspension / removal from one's normal education is now legally reserved for severe incidents - refusing to attend detention is not sufficient to trigger a suspension under the law.

Lots of unqualified students are in our AP classes now too. A well-known ranking system for high schools only considers the number of students in AP classes, and not how many actually pass, so it's suspected that this is why our principal waived pretty much all grade prerequisites a year or two ago. Scores and class discipline have suffered since. The perverse incentives for administrators to elevate the school's ranking do not align with good educational practices.
