I guess it's partly that what made the supernatural elements of the show interesting is that they where shrouded in mystery and as soon as the details are unveiled, one of the elements that made the story interesting are gone.

Ehh not really, it was like 3 months ago and in fact I probably talk to her less than I did before although that's because I have very few chances to talk to her. I'm not a terribly assertive person so if she is around one of her friends in lesson and we are all sitting near eachother, I can rarely get a word in.

Breaking free of his restraints thanks to the spell Tohsaka had taught him, Shirō shouted Trace on!, bringing to mind the sharpest blade he knew and could replicate, then quickly went severing the iron ball and chain that kept him shackled. Hearing the pirate rose from his slumber, he took the ball and chain and threw it at him, shot-put style.

As it plowed into him with a sickening crunch, collapsing his chest cavity, Shirō then secured his pistol and, before all hell broke loose, raced to the lowest deck, shoving aside bewildered pirates and ignoring their cries of realization.

“The prisoner is escaping!”

“He’s heading for the slave deck!”

“Stop him!”

Reaching it, he blasted through the door and amidst the startled cries of the slaves, called out Tohsaka’s name in the darkness and heard a grunt in reply.

Finding her slumped over on her face in an awkward fashion because of the pole that kept her arms stretched out behind her back, he cut the links that held them and slid it free.

“Took you long enough!” she said, rotating her shoulders, wincing when they popped. “Ah, that’s better.”

and that's all I got so far in twenty minutes

i think i'm going to have it end with shirou setting the other captives free and he and rin using the commotion that ensues to try and flee, but then, ah snap, the captain comes out (as the ship is going up in flames because rin rampage) and he and shiro fight but shirou quickly finds himself outmatched and pushes rin overboard as either

1) he blows up the ship and takes everyone aboard with him

2) surrenders and lets himself get taken again

and then... uhh... i guess shinji and one of the extra/go/whoever/pick one protags (because teams of two) get sent back to save them (whether it be just rin or both)

that i won't continue past the point where the two of them land in some pirate's hideaway which happens to be francis drake's

i should probably GO-ify it more

Not necessarily. A friend actually asked me out in high school, i had no interest in him romantically, but got bullied into "giving him a chance" by my parents. So I did the one outing, then ended up having to not only tell him I wasn't interested in going out with him (which I'd tried to be clear on upfront) , but also become not so gentle about it when he kept trying to convince me that things could go "one step at a time" after establishing that.
