After thinking about Yakushoku Distopiary, Fighting Game protagonists and other 'edgy' anime/manga, I just got the most epically silly idea ever... (I admit, just thinking about it makes me grin like Hell, it's so dumb)

A guy brought back from the dead carrying his own tombstone fashioned into an oversized Sol Badguy-esque sword (with cross motifs because of course) wandering the land looking for REVENGE against whoever did him in. He'd be a technical zombie (but still human-looking enough to be fangirl bait) with spiky hair (why not hit more Shonen clichés?) and a bad attitude just goes without saying. (To be fair, I doubt I'd have a particularly shining attitude if I was lugging my own grave stone around and hitting folks with it...)

Honestly, just thinking of this it didn't take long for me to think up a whole cast of Fighting Game styled characters for tombstone guy to interact with in his quest for REVENGE (which has to be capitalized). So whaddya' think? Most awesomely ridiculous idea ever or what?

If there was someone who admired me, I'd be happy about it! It's all I really want, in a way: for someone to be somehow inspired by what I do.

Well, the specific thing is that I used to follow an artist whose work blew my mind, and they seemed to be a nice and kind person from their public interactions. I wrote to them expressing how much I love their work and how I think their dedication to an otherwise underrepresented character is really inspiring. Their comment was thanking me but then, in the tags, something in the vein of 'wow 'inspiring', such an original compliment' and 'i laugh whenever someone says my devotion to x is 'inspiring'. Was maybe not mean but I've learned to doubt everything.

It's not... slice of life exactly, but it's infuriating that the person who is CLEARLY the best writer in shounen at the moment folded up her cool series full of characters I adore and oozing with creativity and... started making a series about people who are basically my cousins and adapting the work of another author. I mean Arslan is fine but I want Arakawa's story, not Whathisface's.
