Do you like Yuichiro Higashide? I've been a big Type-Moon fan ever since the release of their 2012 LN, Fate/Apocrypha. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Fate/Apocrypha where, uh, Yuichiro Higashide's presence became more apparent. I think Volume 5 was the company's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding four volumes.

It's hard to choose a favourite among so many great stories, but "Fate Grand Order" is one of the best, most successful mobage ever produced, about the loss of self-preservation and dignity.

Its universal appeal crosses all fandoms and instills with the hope that it's not too late to get the event Servant. Since, Nil, it's impossible in the world we live to agree with others, we can always agree with ourselves.

Read this brilliant work of Nasu, Higashide and Konoe. You can practically feel every nuance of every plot device. In terms of narrative craftsmanship, the sheer shoddiness, this volume hits a new peak of intellectual bankruptcy. Take the scene with "Giant Exploding Dragon Spartacus". In this scene, Yuichiro Higashide addresses the problems of abusive political authority. "Jeanne Meets Sieg in Avalon" is the most moving scene of the 2010s, about monogamy and commitment. The scene is extremely uplifting. His prose is as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've read in fiction.

Well, we have to finish DDD for one. And slow down the powerlevels race, stop toxicity and grail wars. We have to provide translations to the runeless, and oppose GO discrimination and promote banning rights, while also promoting equal treatment for mods. We have to encourage a return to traditional headcanoning. Most importantly, we have to promote general forum welfare, and less shitposting in young posters.

Kinoko Nasu's solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially works like "Fate/Grand Order" and, uh, "Fate/Extella". But I also think Kinoko Nasu works best within the confines of the company, than as a solo writer, and I stress the word writer. This is "Fate/Extra CCC", a great, great work, a personal favorite.

Nasu's early work was a bit too old world of darkness for my tastes, but when F/A came out, i think TM really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole LN series has a clear, concise idea, and a new sheen of intellectual bankruptcy.

I had a weird dream where I was doing an Internship on this old dude's farmland and we were just sitting on the veranda and like these predators came out of the woods. Forgot what it was specifically, but it had tusks. In any case it came up to some goats who were next to us munching grass, and started licking them and like, rubbing their tusks on them really weirdly. Then these giant ape-like things that in retrospect look like non-lightning'd Rajangs from monster hunter came around and started barking at them. Meanwhile the goats still haven't moved, unfazed by the weird harassment. Then, a hole in the ground opened up and a small velociraptor showed up. Then the entire land where that hole was resting rose up and there was a huge pink hippopotamus opening its mouth.

Then I woke up. Why am I having so many dreams recently?

I usually just have dreams involving sub-conscious & not so sub-conscious worries.... except the last one starred a youkai in the place of the person in question.
(Pretty sure those worries are unfounded so I'm not letting it bother me.)

Other times, they are just slap-stick comedies or me questing/in training for magic... sometimes more in the line of Nacho's dream. XD

My nightmares are rare, and mostly happen while sick. In other cases when a dream turns too unpleasant I automatically perform reality check, and then can either quit, or proceed while being less invested in the situation. Still, even if handled this way some dream shit can ruin the mood just fine.

When I graduate I'm getting serious about going to theater. I never seem to have the time now, and I really enjoyed the few times I've been to plays and ballet.

Theatre is really nice, though I think I've had a lot of luck with local productions. The best thing I've ever seen was my hometown's actors guild doing The Importance of Being Earnest. Usually they're decently cheap, too. Plays put on by university drama students also tend to be very good, with a lot of energy and passion. Maybe because they're either young enough to still care or old enough to have outgrown cynicism.

I had a trapdoor spider as a pet, he was great. my mother killed him because she is dumb (took him to her work to show people, just put his tank in the back of the car unsecured)

I like spiders building webs in my house, since it means other less pleasant wrigglies are getting eaten.
I used to have an unspoken agreement with my spiders that they can live in my room as long as they stick to the corners & out of my stuff. Still kind of stands but these guys are new to the deal... since it is a fairly new place & all.

But if all else fails or I find them elsewhere in the house, I do this as well:

I had an awesome dream where I ventured into a cave filled with witches and dragons. I had some companions but I recklessly charged in on my own. Eventually I came to blows with a few witches and a pissed off dragon. I managed to kill the witches but the dragon was a tough son of a bitch who just tanked all of my spells.
