IF YOU CAN AVOID IT, PLEASE DO NOT POST MORE THAN ONE SERVANT PER POST. POSTING MORE THAN 4 IN ONE POST WILL LEAD TO NOT BEING INCLUDED IN THE INDEX AT ALL. THIS HAS BEEN A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

They are ideal for killing Masters, Noble Phantasms and magecraft, but should he attempt to kill a Servant the strain will cause him to die and disappear instantly.

I don't see why sharing his life when he was alive would affect his endurance as a heroic spirit. I also don't see why trying to kill Servants would be hard for a (fake) Assassin Shiki, since the strain comes from trying to understand things too far from the normal human condition. Basically, rewiring your brain to think like a rock so you can understand it's death is a stupid idea. As a Servant himself, though, understanding the death of other servants should come as naturally as killing humans.

And I thought Mystic Eyes aren't counted as Noble Phantasms for some reason.

hahaha.

Why is it that every time one of these create-a-servant thread pops up, there's always going to be a Shiki Tohno on the first page, and he's always going to be ridiculously fanwanked?

I3uster
April 11th, 2011, 02:13 PM
The problem here being is that he would be extremely imbalanced if he could do that.
I mean with flashstepping and Servant-insta-kill it would be kind of sick.

Also lol at you equating Agility with speed.

On the other hand, at least it's better than that one guy who kept insisting that Shiki would have Ex ranked Agi as a Servant.

It is not who you choose it is just that some of your choices are questionable. Most of us here think Servants get weaker (with lots of textual evidence) than they were in life.
And agility is not the measure of a Servants speed, it is more like fine motor control. Those who are known for being really fast just also happen to have high agility so they don't crash into stuff while going Mach pick your favorite number here.

How does that even work?
And if I could ask something fo you to keep this thread going:
Combine correcting the OP with a Servant of your own, so this won't become a thread stillbirth.
Puh-leaze.

I always got the impression they got stronger when becoming Servants, since fame is factoring in this, or did fame affect their strength while being alive?

Random remembrance:

I think my favorite Shiki NP was the joke Natsu-yoru which was ranked E but became EX when used against fruit.

How does that even work?

I have no idea. Something about how apparently Shiki was much faster than Servants or something based on really random stuff.

Made it even more hilarious that Ryougi apparently does have Ex ranked Agi in Extra though.

eddyak

What you got wrong was:

He can kill NPs but can't kill Servants- It really should be the other way around. Nasu said Shiki vs Shirou, Shiki's head would probably explode trying to kill all the NPs Shirou comes out with. As a Servant himself, he should be able to perceive the death of other Servants, too, even if it's only the same kind of thing as the TATARI clones- lines, not dots.

Archer should be able to pull his head off with casual ease, has twin C-ranked NPs and he only has D-rank Str. Sasaki, being probably one of the best Servants with a sword, ever, has A+ agility.

Unless this is DA Shiki you're talking about, he still wouldn't be that high in specs.

My guess: EX ranked agility makes you grow additional legs.
While this makes you more agile than most people, after too much legs your agility is hampered and you are easily attacked.

Aw shit, this was a misunderstanding on my part, I thought that he COULD kill NPs because of that Nasu interview.
My error then.
But I still think fending of the "Queen" of clock tower can only be attributed to is sick agility and speed, since he would not have used his eyes for a nonlethal battle (He fought her, right? My memory is a bit hazy there, may have to reread prelude).

Agility isn't how fast they can go. I think it's a sort of mixup between Dexterity and how accurate they are with their attacks. Lancer has A ranked agil, despite being the fastest Servant. Sasaki has A+, despite being completely human.

April 11th, 2011, 02:32 PM
Nasu said Shiki vs Shirou, Shiki's head would probably explode trying to kill all the NPs Shirou comes out with.

Just want to take the time to point out again that Nasu said Shiki's head would explode after he's done killing all the NPs Shirou tries to come out with, presumably ending the fight with both of them dead. The entire point of that interview seems to be Nasu copping out of having to say which protagonist is stronger by saying that if they fight they both basically cancel out and both end up dead, unless you make certain concessions (i.e., no overflow for Shiki or the ability to put out a mana blast without killing himself for Shirou.)

I3uster

Isn't his AGI there attributed to his extremly fast sword style?
Not trying to defend my obvious wrong here, but still.

Again, this topic is not "Correct I3usters fanwank Shiki" but "Create-a-Servant"

This should probably be moved somewhere in fanfics or whatever.
I have some ideas but would have to write them down first.
I have not read Fate/Regalia but does anyone know if these have been taken:
Ogier the Dane
Enoch
King Solomon
Dietrich von Bern
Heimir
Roland
Charlemange
Rostam

True- but you also can't discount the possibility of Shiki keeling over in the middle of the fight either. Anaemia and pop-your-own-brain is not a good combination.

Not trying to defend my obvious wrong here, but still.
If it was just speed, Lancer would be about four tiers above Sasaki. Sasaki's completely human, and therefore slower than pretty much any other Servant, and Lancer's spear goes so fast even reinforced-eyes-Archer can't see it. Sasaki's only advantage is pure skill and technique- if his opponent lets down their guard for a moment, he cuts off their head.

He never fought her, that was Enhance. He just ks'ed her while she was distracted by Enhance.

His 'sick agility and speed' allows him to killsteal?

She gets distracted by enhance.

On the completely other end of the castle, shiki kills her prey.

I say killsteal because he stole her prey, not because he appeared at the last second to deal the killing blow. The latter, yeah that could show agi, the former, not so much.

What is this? I can't even guess. TOBIAS! GRANT ME STRENGTH!

Also lol at you equating Agility with speed.

Archer became stronger when he became an Heroic Spirit. It's just in most cases most heroes become weaker.

Another thing, I'd like to say is that as a Heroic Spirit who visited the Throne of Heroes Shiki's 'modern human common sense' ought to have changed quite a bit so he should be able to see lines on some pretty hax stuff.

arai's theory.

Hm, a lot of strange interpretations are going on, but this is the way how I personally see it. For common ability stats, E = expert, D = ace, C = superhuman, B through A = beyond what a human being can accomplish/going to need some god/demonic/dragon/shinpi blood to get these kinds of stats. There are some other theories for this about how back then, in order to even survive people had to be stronger/tougher/faster. Well Bedivere did manage to run way faster than a normal modern human being could so it is possible.

Hmm...? If that was the case then Saber wouldn't have been able to do the Return of the King of Knights thing (she returns to her life abilities momentarily. The Grail wouldn't have been able to do this if it hadn't gotten these abilities. Well, this could be chalked up to 'lolSaber is alive'). It's just how good/bad the Master is in what decides the Servants abilities. Like say, if Merlin was resurrected in the 4th Grail War (not summoned. Resurrected. Summoned would result in something like Kojiro) for some reason then spent 10 years or so screwing around and comes back and then summons a Servant. They might have even better abilities then they were in life because Merlin is such a great Master. Meanwhile, a modern magus could only get something like Rin!Saber. Berserker (or rather Illya) should be a bit better then average (as in if an average Master would have summoned him) I think. Unless someone can correct me.

my interpretation was that the Servant container at the hypothetical max would equal to how the Servant was when they were alive, but most of the time with an everage master, they'd be weaker than the time they were in life. And barring some extreme cases with a master with infinite prana and a servant that uses prana boost, it's impossible to exceed their strength when they were alive.

It doesn't really make any sense that the hs in the throne would be weaker, since they are 'the heroes at the peak of their abilities', or something.

Brilliant my good sir.
I am doing him right now, since no one can argue values of the Travis:

Travis Touchdown
Class: Saber or Berserker (dunno, since he is crazy and has no qualms about killing innocents.)
Strength: D (He is certainly stronger than a normal Human)
Endurance: A (Survives: stepping on Landmines, Grenades, getting hit by: Laser Blades, Orbital Lasers, Baseball bats, getting lit on fire etc. etc.)
Agility: A (EXTREMELY fast (especially when using slowmo) , can do cool athletic moves, can reflect bullets with a sword, can block nearly any close combat attack)
Magical energy: E (No magus)
Luck: E (No girlfriend, one friend, one cat, lives in a motel)
Noble Phantasm: Blood Berry (Rank C)
Indestructible sword, coming from the OTHER legendary land of fairies, the internet.
Has the incredible attribute of being dull as a club in one moment, then being the sharpest thing ever in another, a truly awe-inspiring weapon.
Abilities:
Battle continuation: A (His fighting performance does not change as long as he is not killed)
Nerd: EX (Can recognize Heroic Spirits as long as they appeared in an Anime/Manga/Video Game)
Summary: You should not care about his stats, summon him, it is goddamn Travis Touchdown

Ah I forgot something in the OP:
Catalyst: Sunglasses

Anyways before we get ten pages of needless Shiki discussion, here comes my Servant page:

Name: Wade Wilson "But just call me Deadpool."
Class: Assassin NINJA! "iiiah!"

Stats:

Strength: C
Endurance: C++
Agility: B+
Magic: D
Luck: A+
"You are being a bit humble there, bro..."

Noble Phantasm:

- Doorknobs: Pair of guns that can assume any form and never run out of ammo. "OH YEAH!"

Rank: D "What? They're double EX, I'm tellin' you!"
Type: Anti-Unit "Remember kids, my gunz don't kill people... I kill people."
Maximum targets: 2 "...and anyone else getting in my way."

Class Skills:

Presence Concealment: E- "Ouch! that hurt man, really..."

Skills:

Battle Continuation: A

Mental Pollution: A "Is this a more sophisticated term for insane?"

Regeneration: B
Ability to quickly restore the self after sustaining damage. The Servant can automatically heal from serious wounds at the expense of prana. At such level the regeneration borders the realm of resurrection. Nothing save for the destruction of the spiritual core can permanently kill the Servant. Although overusing this skill may leave both the Servant and Master without any prana to use. "Hey, don't forget the pain! Regeneration friggin' hurts!"

Fictional Awareness: A
Ability to reach the mysterious "Fourth Wall" of Akasha.
It's a skill very close to the True Magic, achieved by mere chance. For A rank the Servant can not only understand its entity as fictional character but even able to converse with the Author. (You missed the best part! Those little yellow boxes are so amusing! ) Miraculously this so-called "Breaking the Fourth Wall" works without spending an ounce of prana.

"WHAT? Is that all? Bro, it's so unfair. Where the hell is my background? You know being being homies with Cable and whatnot. Man, I even made the freakin' Big G envious of my size once. If you know what I mean..."

Class: Rider
Strength: B-A (Punched a god that could destroy the world given time, and fucking threw her around.)
Endurance: B-A (See above, resisted blows from a god)
Agility: C (Ehh...not many speed feats I think)
Magical energy: E ( Shit MGI.)
Luck: E-D (His luck is what put him in most of the horrible situations in Legendia.)

Noble Phantasms:

Sacred Erens (Rank....possibly B-EX, I dunno)

....It helps him punch things in the face? Thanks to this, he can accomplish many strength feats, like defeating a god and adding elements to his attacks.

Skills:

Riding - E-C? (He's good with vehicles, but I don't think he's anywhere near B...C at most if I fanwank as much as possible)

Instinct - B-A ( Participated in many battles, was shown to do feats akin to Saber's instinct)

Battle Continuation - C-B (Many, many times, I thought he was going to die on certain scenes and the motherfucker just came back alive. The wounds were nowhere close to something Lancer or Berserker suffer, though, so rankdown)

Only like 3 people will recognize this man, who, despite being an asshole, is awesome, due to belonging on the "dark sheep" of a semi-obscure series. ;_;

....I might have fanwanked a bit on those stats....

I am about to leave and never come back, but you know, recently unearthed evidence, assuming nasu wasn't kidding implies shiki actually can kill projected noble phantasms, to the point where defeating of shirou is the obvious result, because it turns out when nasu said the point of destruction caused by over flow revered to something that would happen after the battle ended, so even if you don't ignore that factor, shiki will continually kill shirou's phantasms until shirou dies.

No. Her LCK shouldn't have anything to do with her Prana supply yet it's a D with Kiritsugu, an A+ with Rin, a C with Sakura, and a freaking B with Shirou.

Her stats definitely don't come from her living body (when considering the premise of this argument your pretty much saying 'she has her living body therefore she has her living stats').

Her STR comes from Prana Burst (she really has the strength of a 14 or something year old girl- Keyne will probably come in in and tell me the correct age I don't really care).

Also,

Invisible Air - Barrier of the Wind King
Not much more to add. Wait, I didn't add an entry for this?

Information from Fate Zero reveals that IA wind blast (in addition Prana Burst) can also be used to allow Saber to make supersonic dashes. This does NOT include Command Spell effect.

Rank: C
Type: Anti-personnel
Range: 1-2
AOE: 1 object

During the Return of the King of Knights scene her Magic Circuit was filled by a Command Spell and the 'King of Knights' was reborn and her strength became as it was in life.

Tang was saying they are weakened from becoming Heroic Spirits > The Servants are just Heroic Spirits copy and pasted from the Throne > Stats (how close they are to their lifetime abilities) depend on the Master > So I said that (they are weakened depending on the Master) and that during the Return of the King of Knights she utilized her full abilities (which really, the only thing that Command Spell did that we definitely know was fill up her entire Magic Circuit- which is why Shirou had her jump in a straight line because if she took other ways she would end up using too much Prana). Then you said that she was alive so that didn't matter. When the scene where it says she got her abilities back all it said was that her Magic Circuit was refilled (when she started the war with a full Magic Circuit and with Sakura she pretty much had infinite Prana- why Excaliblast when you have mach 10 attacks?).

The Command Spell's command was "leap". I seriously doubt rank B Mana Burst would be able to take her 4 kilometers in two seconds. Saber Alter would've just blasted Shirou into dust with a punch if she actually could boost herself to those speeds without the help of a command seal.

If she is "physically" stronger than she should be able to replicate the Resurrection of the Knight King scene if not surpass it, because in case I need to remind you jumping involves strength or in Altria's case Mana Burst plus strength
As for fighting ability I am not sure how she got more skilled or became more proficient in combat in anyway that did not include brute force. Her Instinct dropped so that can't be it.

Again, I really, really doubt B-ranked mana burst, even combined with A-ranked strength, is enough to send her off at Mach 7 or 13 over 4 kilometers. Berserker Alter's A+ ranked Str is enough to swing his axesword at the speed of sound.

It was the command seal that allowed her to do something usually impossible.

Sounds like she should be able to do it nasu simply never thought of it. Or maybe it would be bad idea because she was in a cave.

Edit:
@ Hyarion
every time I used the term can not hold back I meant I don't know how Saber Alter could have done anything like holding back if she has no fine motor control. It seems like something Shirou would notice since he saw her fight Berserker.

I wouldn't trust Shirou much, wasn't he technically going insane?

Again, I really, really doubt B-ranked mana burst, even combined with A-ranked strength, is enough to send her off at Mach 7 or 13 over 4 kilometers. Berserker Alter's A+ ranked Str is enough to swing his axesword at the speed of sound.

It was the command seal that allowed her to do something usually impossible.

Her Mana Burst becomes A rank actually.
Not sure if that changes your opinion.

Might do- but, honestly, it's a skill, not even an NP. I really find it hard to swallow that she'd be able to pull that off if she had enough prana- without a command seal to make sure she hit the spot, at least.

A bit late on the Saber stuff, but let me chime in.

STR is not equal to physical strength. It is more like the damage melee attacks deal.

In the bridge scene, Saber used all (or almost all) of her prana on one action to jump 4 km in 1 or 2 seconds. It was flat out stated Saber's circuit was completely full and she was temporarily as powerful as she was during her life. She sure as hell didn't have command spell boosts during life, so she should definitely be able to repeat that feat with a full circuit of prana. What do you know, Saber Alter is specifically stated to be literally overflowing with prana.

Saber's prana burst is rank A whichever master she has. She definitely had it during life. Without prana burst, she's no stronger, faster or more durable than an average 14/15 year old girl. A/B rank STR and END? Supersonic speed and hundreds of slashes per second? All that is pure prana burst.

The "stronger than in life" bit about Alter is referring to her Excalispam. That doesn't mean she can't utilize her infinite prana supply for other things as well.

There wouldn't really be an advantage to prana bursting all over the place as opposed to Excalispam, since Excalibur's beam is light speed once it fires, can be fired in about a second, has range great enough to part the clouds in the sky, an anti-fortress targeting area, and the destructive power to obliterate a dragon with ease.

"lol nasu" is like a pre-req to BEING here, but I do agree on that.

I've always been interested to see the Tsukihime heroines as Servants though, even with Arc who cameo'd in Fate/Extra. Let's see if I can crack one up for Ciel... ...Oh and will I get lynched on the spot if I say that I can see her go Counter Guardian down the line?

Class: Archer

Strength: B | Seventh Holy Scripture is 70kg and with additional parts its weight can apparently DOUBLE. If she can swing around that much... Around B?
Endurance: C | She's fit, but still stoppable.
Agility: B | All we know is that she can cover 10m in a flash, which... isn't saying much, but using Archer as a template, if EMIYA can score C, she'd at LEAST be B if not higher.
Magical energy: A - If Dust of Osiris thought she was good enough to make a living conduit, I think that says a lot.
Luck: E | HAHAHA. Her life story is things not going her way, so.
--
Class Skills

Independent Action: A | Seven works alone, and with her huge Mana, this is most likely feasible.
Magic Resistance: B+ | Trained elite Executor, you'd expect her to have some good magic counters.
--
Personal Skills

Clairvoyance: C+ | Gotta have aim for throwing those keys.
Healer: B- | Faster self-regen rate, and also capable of healing the wounds of humans.
Magecraft: B-~A | Depending on whether she makes use of Roa's knowledge or not - or pursues sorcery before she dies. It's always been a theory of mine that she dabbled and learned at least some of his tricks, but only vowed to never use them against HIM in particular. When it's any other enemy, then all's free game. Proven by lol Necromancy, even.
Mystic Eyes: D | Can charm and persuade those with weak magic resistance.
--
Noble Phantasm

Seventh Holy Scripture (Bow): Self-Explanatory, but paired with Clairvoyance, using it as a cannon for firing from long range would be stronger than using it as a pile bunker bayonet for stabbing. The wounds generated by this take much longer to heal, and would have Harpes-like properties. Super effective against vampires too, possibly?
--
Thaaat's it so far. ...Man Ciel's too versatile, so going by the wiki, I also had a bunch of other viable options for personal skills:

Expert of Many Specializations - Ciel's a jack of all trades
Eye of the Mind (True) - I swear I'm not trying to copy EMIYA but they do have QUITE a bit in common...
Librarian of Stored Knowledge - Roa
Projectile - Black Keys all day every day
Protection of the Faith - She's not the best catholic, but she is one.
Vitrification - You know because Ciel's such a jack of all trades she can probably be summoned under several different classes. I see her work also as a Caster, Lancer, and Assassin - maybe even Berserker, if you account Roa!Elesia. She may have this if she's summoned Assassin.

Those are the ones from the wiki, but if I have to make some up...

Executor/Heretic Hunter: Bonus damage to demonic/undead/whatever the church doesn't like.
SOMETHING BASED OFF HER IMMORTALITY: I thought about Battle Continuation too, but this is iffy since this would be built beyond what'll happen to her if the mythical Tsukihime 2 ever happens, where Roa is defeated and she loses it. It's not something associated to her rather than something that's been imposed - more like an accident that the World never purposefully intended for happening. The World COULD acknowledge that she was an inconsistency and give her the ability to regen, but that's too broken and doesn't make sense - it would make more if ALAYA lends her that ability and lets her cheat Gaia (haha Arc represent THE RIVALRY IS FOREVER) as a Counter Guardian for as long as she still needs to keep fighting in order get the job done, though that's a different matter. Maybe this will only kick in, if she's summoned into an era where Roa is active.

ON MULTICLASSING: This would change the nature of her Stats, NPs and Personal Skills. If she's summoned as Lancer, then the Scripture would be of Lance form; it will be more effective as a lance, and while it can be used as a cannon, the attack power is weaker, because as a Lancer Clairvoyance would be traded off for Eye of the Mind. Her speed will be higher too, in that case. If she's summoned as anything else other than Archer, Projectile (Black Keys) may be added to boost the damage of the Keys. In a similar vein, if she's drawn as Caster, she may have Librarian of Stored Knowledge, and I'm even thinking of tacking on OVERLOAD for her as a Noble Phantasm only available under that class, because she very much has the ability to reuse this from Roa's knowledge.

...Eh, there's a lot that you can do with her. Nasu's never been too specific either, but we know at least that anyone who works for the Burial Agency's got to be pretty crazy.

Well, there are some things that stand out as weird IMO.

Strength: B | Seventh Holy Scripture is 70kg and with additional parts its weight can apparently DOUBLE. If she can swing around that much... Around B?

As I said, STR is more like the actual damage dealt by physical attacks, not muscle power. Ciel may be physically strong, but her attacks aren't as destructive as Lancer's or Saber's for instance. Ciel's attacks are probably more in the neighborhood of Archer with K&B, so D rank seems appropriate. Maybe C, but I doubt it.

Agility: B | All we know is that she can cover 10m in a flash, which... isn't saying much, but using Archer as a template, if EMIYA can score C, she'd at LEAST be B if not higher.

Again, AGI has almost nothing to do with speed. Ciel's very agile, so I'd give her an A rank. She still won't be nearly as fast as Lancer, but AGI is all about control over your movements.

Magic Resistance: B+ | Trained elite Executor, you'd expect her to have some good magic counters.

She probably does have good tactics against magic, but this skill is a passive aura that simply negates magic, which Ciel doesn't normally have. Because she's an Archer, she gets some automatically, but not much. Saber gets A rank because she had very high magic resistance in life, but if you look at the Servants who didn't have this in their life, they only have E or D. So Ciel's magic resistance would probably be around that.

Clairvoyance: C+ | Gotta have aim for throwing those keys.

I wouldn't give her higher clairvoyance than EMIYA though. Especially because once you get past C it starts turning into things like x-ray or heat vision. Ciel doesn't have that kind of stuff. In fact, I don't think she ever actually demonstrated clairvoyance at all tbh, but because she's described as a whiz with projectiles, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Still wouldn't put her on EMIYA's level with "LOL I can count the bolts on the bridge from 4km away".

True Name: Celtcháir mac Uetchar
Sex: Male
Allignment: True Neutral
Height/Weight: 2.02 m/77 kg

Attributes:

STR: B
END: C
AGI: B+
MGI: C
LCK: D

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance, Rank B
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected.

Personal Skills:

Eye of the Mind (True), Rank C
Heightened insight that was refined through experience. At this rank, the Servant can calmly analyze situations and predict the best outcome execpt in emotionally challenging battles.

Rune Magic, Rank A
Knowledge about the Rune Magecraft originated from Northern Europe. At this rank, the user is capable of using the 18 primordial runes and their combinations.

Battle Continuation, Rank B
Strength of vitality for predicaments. Also, the ability to withdraw from combat and reach allied territory alive after being defeated. Makes it possible to survive and fight when inflicted grievous wounds as long as they are not asbolutely deadly (That is, if none of the spirit cores are hit during battle).

Noble Phantasms:

Lúin of Celtchair. Anti-Unit. Number of Targets: 1-3 AoE: 10. Rank C+.
The version of the curse Celtchair normally uses. By creating a bounded field all across the spear using all the possible combinations of the 18 primordial runes, he manages to restrain the deadly curse put over it so it won't accidentally destroy him during normal battles; but even so, it is so powerful that still manifests by burning from the tip and dealing wounds that take longer to heal.

Luín of Celtchair. Anti-Personnel. Number of Targets: 1-7. AoE: 1000. Rank A.
The fully unleashed cursed spear owned by the Grey Hero of the Ulster house. When activated, this spear's curse will reverse the destiny of up to seven enemies making them "dead" and impale their hearts. Unlike other cursed spears, whose power can be avoided by using a shield with sufficient prana, the only way to prenvent being killed is to have greater capabilities than the spear's curse to change one's fate due to the sheer viciouness of the spear: if it's stopped, it will simply seek the enemy's rear.

It has, however, a great drawback, and it's that the curse is so strong that it will also affect the owner reducing all its parameters by one for a duration of up to four days.

Here goes whom I think is the first Servant in this thread who comes from a myth/legend, lol.

Shaka Virgo (Saint Seiya)

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

STR: A (Shaka doesn't show it much, but thanks to the Cosmo Saints are pretty strong)
END: C (It was said repeatedly that save for the Cloth Saints weren't more durable than a really trained human)
AGI: EX (The whole moving at the speed of light thing)
MGI: A++ (If the Cosmo is translated as magic, Gold Saints should have a pretty high stat)
LCK: D (Not particularly lucky or unlucky, I think)
NP: A

Skills:

8th sense: C (Not as much as Deathmask, I'd guess) He can travel to the world of the death

Noble Phantasms:

The Gold Cloth of Virgo
Class: Anti-unit
Rank: C (Or maybe lower? God Hand is B, and this isn't close)
One of the twelve golden armors for the Saints of Athena, they are at the top of the class in durability.

Tenbu Hourin - The Treasure of Heaven
Class: Anti-unit
Rank: A
The maximum technique of Shaka, he opens his usually closed eyes to unleash his full Cosmo and removes in quick succession the opponent's five senses and even the sixth one, the mind, turning them into essentially living corpses, completely disabling them.

I made one for Negi (pre-rebirth) but then I couldn't figure out how to properly convey his known stats as Servant parameters.

But anyway, here's what I got.

---

Class: Archer
True Name: Negi Springfield
Alignment: Neutral Good?

Skills:

Independent Action
Rank: B
Can exist in the world without a Master for two days. However, this is the ideal value assuming prana consumption is reduced to the lowest possible.

Magic Resistance
Rank: C-
Can nullify magic with an incantation below two verses by expending an amount of prana equivalent to the opposing spell's prana cost. Cannot defend against large magics and rituals.

Magic Theory
Rank: B
Can reconstruct and combine existing spells and alter their effects. At this rank, he can formulate spells best suited to a specific type of opponent or battle if given time to prepare.

Chinese Martial Arts
Rank: C
A recognised adept in Baguazhang and several schools of Bajiquan, both bare-handed and when equipped with a spear or staff. At this rank, he has a chance to recognise other types of martial arts and formulate a defense against them.

Noble Phantasms:

Negica Magia Erebea - Fusion of Spell and Soul
Rank: C++
Type: Anti-Unit

An esoteric magical method which attempts to replicate the primordial power of 'Darkness' - rather than repelling offensive spells, Magia Erebea draws them in, absorbing and turning them into another source of power.

All damage from any offensive magic under B Rank is unconditionally nullified. The spell also provides him with temporary boosts to any combination of STR, END and AGI depending on the nature and strength of the spell, equivalent to a + for every Rank above E Rank. In addition, it is possible to imitate specific aspects of the absorbed spell and temporarily repurpose them into innate abilities equivalent to a Skill of C Rank.

Any absorbed spell, regardless of its original incantation length, can also be released again and used as a Single Action spell with no penalties.

Sinus Magnus - Course of Death and Rebirth
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit

The true meaning of Magia Erebea - rather than simply absorbing the offensive power of the spell, Magia Erebea draws in and replicates the power of the opponent.

Upon activation against any enemy attack, Magia Erebea fully replicates the STR of the opponent during the targeted attack, in addition to the temporary boost provided by absorption of the spell itself.

Hrm hard to say. He was overall a big time BAMF, Rider might work the the best overall since he required that his closest soldiers be excellent horsemen. I'd avoid sabers, only because overall swords were less common (most were stolen from the Romans) than archery based weapons such as bows and slings. Lances and spears were also pretty common for his soldiers. My Israeli friends and I tend to suggest Berserker since he was a demi-god in strength according to legends that were told about him in the years in diaspora. Just different takes, make it fun to hypothesis.

Noble Phantasm:
Vimana Pushpaka - Flowery Chariot (A++).
Flying chariot created by god of crafts for Kubera, god of wealth. After Ravana defeated Kubera and his troops, it became his trophy. Powerful war engine armed with ancient analogues of machine guns and nuclear bombs. Unlike original model, this Vimana was modified to increase it's durablity. This upgrade allows usage of ram-based attacks, however manoeuvrability was decreased.

Chandrahas - Moon's Smile (В)
Magical sword given to Ravana by Lord Shiva, after many years of devotion. The name is reffering to the shape formed by a crescent moon which resembles a smile. This blade can be duplicated into the eight copies of different size and form (corresponding to the phases of Moon). Each copy possess special ability to break through defences (like protective spells or barrier-type NP) of B rank or above, and can be used as Broken Phantasm separately.

Brahma's Boon - Peak of Divine Protection (A)
Special conceptual blessing bestowed on Ravana by Lord Brahma. Ultimate conceptual protection against all living things except humans (Heroic Spirits with no divinity or monstrosity count as humans). Any attack to Ravana made by someone inhuman would be totally negated or at least reduced proportionaly to enemy's inhumanity (for example, attacks of the Servant with B-ranked Divinity would be reduced by B-rank regardless of their type and nature).

Skills***:
Class*.
Magical Resistance: В. Very ancient hero from the times where magic was much more common and powerful.

Riding*: А. Skilled rider, especially with flying means of transport. He even defeated Lord of the Hawks in the sky duel.

Personal.
Battle Continuation**: A. Was able to continue fight despite numerous terrible wounds, such as lost limbs (and according to some versions - even all his heads) and was stopped only when Rama shoot Brahmaastra through his chest.

Divinity*: E--. Despite his mixed origin (apparently, his father was one of the holiest sages) Ravana is usually depicted as unholy creature and monster.

Librarinan of Stored Knowledge*: А. While often thought of mainly as the infamous 10-headed demon, Ravana was also a notable scholar of the Vedas.
A not widely known metaphorical interpretation of Ravana's having ten heads is that the heads are a symbolic way to show the world about his knowledge. He was fully aware of the contents of the six Shastras. His knowledge of the six Shastras as well as his knowledge of the four Vedas, ten Holy Scriptures in all, is by this interpretation considered the inner meaning of the belief that Ravana had ten heads. He possess almost universal knowledge of magical nature of the world and capable to use them easily.

Mind Pollution*: В. Despite all his knowledge and wisdom, Ravana is usually misguided by his five senses. Even his downfall at the hands of Rama was caused by his inability to constrict his desires, when he kidhnapped Sita, Rama's wife.

What? WHAT?

How did we have the same idea? It seems like you know more of the myth anyway so I guess it is better that you got to it before me. Never heard of that flying chariot or that magic sword.
I am curious why you did not make his Brahmaastra a Noble Phantasm? That honestly sounded more Noble Phantasmish than the Brahma's Boon which I would have made a skill or combined into one for simplicity's sake.

From what I know, Brahmaastra seems to be more like magical technique rather than concrete weapon. For example, in Mahabharata one of the heroes (Ashwatthaman) was unarmed and imbued piece of straw with the power of Brahma and used is as Brahmaastra. Also, it was used by a considerable number of mythological figures, such as Parashurama, Indrajeet, Rama-chandra (that Rama, who killed Ravaan), Vishvamitra, Karna, Drona and many others. From my point of view, NP should be weapon or ability which is associated with one hero (or monster in that case), and Ravana's invulnerability can be seen as his own symbol.

Sorry I got confused I mean the nectar or whatever that allowed him immortality until it was destroyed, I would have combined that with his boon.

Also my version was going to give him some sort of planet/moon sized space station since he apparently conquered the realm of celestials and if Alexander can bring the army he recruited over the course of his life than why not.

But your version is great, I can see some people unfamiliar with the myth describing him as overpowered but the guy apparently had millions of weapons that could destroy the universe so...

based on

Tomoe Gozen or Yamamoto Yaeko (descended from Yamamoto Kansuke who took 80+ bullets before he retreated and killed himself...)

Actually, any Asian hero based Archer is fine. I just need someone to replace EMIYA as Rin's servant for my project. Needs to be Asian so they get a boost from the land/culture and magic foundation. Can be male or female.

You don't see high power lasers propelling themselves through the test lab.

That's because the momentum of the photons are insufficient in comparison to the mass of the generator. Kind of like how the earth doesn't get knocked out of orbit because you punch the ground.

When you have a huge laser beam that's the size of a city generated by a small girl, that's a different matter entirely.

This is why you don't get a pre-med to do a physicist's job.

I'm assuming a 0.01 micron wavelength CO2 laser here, with an effective momentum of 6.6E-26 kg m/s. In order to generate ~600 kg m/s^2 of force we would need an output of 9E27 photons per second. Each photon has roughly 1.98 joules and so we would need an output of 1.8E28 watts to achieve levitation.

Hrm... that doesn't seem right.

Zevrand

Formula is Force = Power/c.

Comes out to about a third of a terawatt or so, give or take. Coincidentally that's also the point where you could just sprint through a mountain, vaporizing the rock in front of you.

According to here (http://www.optoiq.com/index/lasers-for-manufacturing/display/ils-article-display/172576/articles/industrial-laser-solutions/volume-18/issue-3/features/drilling-rock.html), it takes roughly 20 kJ to vaporize a cubic centimeter of rock with a laser. Body surface area is a bit less than a square meter, so you're looking at a vaporization rate of about 15 meters per second or 30 mph.

Surviving the vaporized rock is left as an exercise for the reader.

Well, you can build it (I think the incredibly cool-looking (http://www.sandia.gov/news-center/news-releases/2006/images/z-machine.jpg) Z-machine actually goes into the zettawatt range, though it isn't a laser), you just can't keep it running for more than a fraction of a nanosecond.

A Saturn V first stage engine averages around a fifth of a terawatt when operating, which is nothing to sneeze at.

I do not ever remember coming across this formula.

The momentum of a photon is equal to its energy divided by the speed of light. Momentum is conserved, and I'm assuming perfect efficiency in turning energy into photons.

Take the derivative of M=E/c with respect to time, and viola.

Mcjon01

Well, just looking at the numbers posted, she'd have to be putting out a third of a terawatt to have significant physical effect. Escape velocity is going to require a lot more force, so she's going to have to be putting out an amazing amount of energy. Even in Zero, Excalibur doesn't seem to put out that much, so I'd guess that she can't use it as a rocket.

Counterguardian
May 14th, 2011, 02:01 AM
That's through simple photon thrust alone. If we take into account superheating the air under you to generate a lift force alongside the photon beam I think we should have a different result.

This also relies heavily on the fact that the photon wavelength is free to change with its energy input. My laser-fu is pretty weak, but if I'm not wrong most lasers only generate a single wavelength even when you pump them crazy full of energy.

That reminds me, I forgot to answer food's question

Nasu said it's a laser, so assume industrial strength metal-piercing laser wavelength?

If we assume industrial strength lasers, I think my horrendous calculation two pages ago would be relevant to answer this question. That is, no way in hell.

Targets an area with a radius of 30 metres. The area is then covered with fragments of Saber’s blades, slicing apart those unlucky enough to get caught within. This does not affect Saber’s allies. Saber’s weapons reform at the end of the Noble Phantasm’s effect. Her weapons can’t be used in the duration of the Noble Phantasm, which lasts for two minutes.

The Arabian Revolution
Pawn Captures King, Checkmate
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Army/Support
Mavia summons an army of troops, where the ability Charisma is immediately used to instil them with fervour for her and her cause. This army contains 150 armed and armoured Saracens that speak only their native language and whatever language the user of the Noble Phantasm speaks, but are much weaker than Servants. They can be used to raid, or rush an enemy Servant. These troops last for 24 hours. If somehow this ability is stolen by another ability, ritual, or Noble Phantasm, the invoker must use Charisma to persuade the troops to their side.

Anyone inside with magic resistance will not be affected. Magi will be not as endangered as normal humans. Having a Servant with magic resistance makes the Master immune to this Noble Phantasm. Caster’s Mana decreases to C- but her Agility and Strength becomes B++ and her Endurance C+, and her Luck C for the duration of this effect. Her hair becomes a crimson colour during this effect. Caster’s hands become claw-like and drain a little bit of mana with each hit that draws blood. Class: Saber
True Name: Richard Sharpe
Sex: Male
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 54.5 kg
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Strength: C (better than unreinforced Emiya)
Endurance: B (despite his build he takes insane amounts of punishment in his series)
Agility: B (very agile for a normal human)
Magical Energy: E (magic does not exist in his setting so he is equivalent to Assassin in this department, for better or for worse)
Luck: B (very lucky guy throughout his life)
Noble Phantasm: B (fff)

Class Abilities
Magic Resistance: D (granted by the class; no magic exists in the setting he's from)
Riding: E (can ride horses but is not a trained cavalryman)

Details

A British soldier that fought during the British wars in India and the Napoleonic Wars, up until the Battle of Waterloo. Unusualy for the time, Sharpe became an officer promoted from the ranks and led a lifetime of battle and daring exploits which majorly affected the course of history, though his efforts were often not recognized at the time.

Skills
Instinct: A (Sharpe's fighting instincts are incredible, honed from a lifetime of battle across the entire world.)
Battle Continuation: C (Sharpe is ridiculously tough and difficult to put down.)
Charisma: D (Able to inspire and increase the morale of a small unit)
Military Tactics: D (Able to expertly control the actions of a small unit)
Subversive Activities: C (Sharpe often operated behind enemy lines on various missions or misadventures which greatly affected the course of the wars he was involved in)

Noble Phantasm

1796-pattern heavy cavalry sword (modified)

A standard issue British weapon of the time, lovingly modified by Sharpe's best friend Patrick Harper. This is not so much a sword as an edged club, and rather than fence with it, Sharpe used his brute strength and incredible speed to simply smash down the guards of virtually anyone he faced, chopping them to pieces.

Rank: C (it's a big nasty sword, though it has no special abilities or magical enhancements)
Type: Anti-Personnel Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-2
Maximum Target: 1 person

Baker Rifle

Sharpe was assigned primarily to Rifle skirmisher units over the course of his career, and aquired a significant amount of expertise in the use of his weapon, which is relatively accurate to an impressive range. However, since it is an antique muzzle-loader, it cannot be rapid fired, though it does have a bayonet to allow Sharpe to defend himself at close range if neccesary.

Rank: B (Higher rank because servant-use firearms are not common and it is effective against any kind of armor that was in use at the time)
Type: Anti-Personnel Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-20 (the Baker Rifle has a much longer effective range than a bow or a thrown knife)
Maximum Target: 1 person

Sharpe would also work as an Archer (rifleman, durr) or as a Berserker (this one is obvious if you've ever read the novels)

I briefly considered Mind's Eye (True) instead of Instinct, but Sharpe is most definitely not the cool and calculating kind of fighter.

Here's another take on a possible Servant Roland

True Identity: Roland (well, duh)
Class: Rider (can also be of the Saber class (loses one of his NPs) or of the Berserker class (loses all but one of his NPs)
Gender: Male

Strength- C
Endurance- A+ (considering that he and a bunch of other knights stopped a whole effing army and even then Roland had to self-kill himself with Oliphaunt, I think it's kinda accurate)
Agility- B
Prana- D
Luck- C

Class Abilities:

Riding- A
Magic Resistance- B (due to wielding Durandal, the holy sword bestowed upon his king by the angels. Or so the legends say. They also say it used to belond to Hector of Troy so maybe there some ancient Greek defense mumbo-jumbo at play, too)

Personal Skills:

Battle Continuation- A+ (again, the army didn't kill him, he got fed up they couldn't kill him and yet they could still pass him by and catch up to his king, so he kinda rage-quit)
Bravery- A
Guardian Knight- B (since the A in this rank is given to a Saint, I think the B rank is more suitable)

Noble Phantasms:

Durandal- The Peerless Sword- A+ (considering it's said to be at least on par with Excalibur and it has parts of three different Saints built into it, I think it qualifies for the rank)- Durandal is imbued with the power of three miracles- The Miracle of Ultimate Protection (a blessing from the Virgin Mary that can stop any attack, no matter the rank but can be used one time and one time only), The Miracle of Eternal Vigor (a blessing by Saint Denis, it allows the sword to never dull no matter the prana capacity of the wielder- ergo even a human can wield it and it'll be as sharp as ever), The Miracle of Heaven's Might (a blessing by Saint Peter, giving the sword enough power to shatter even the gates of Heaven). Ranges from anti-personnel to anti-army

Veillantif- Enchanted Charge of Vigilance- B - Roland someone his steed Veillantif and proceeds to mow down enemies. Anti-army

Oliphaunt- Herald of a Transcending Victory - EX - Roland's ultimate last resort that he can only use at the cost of his own life. A Reality Marble that summons King Charlemagne's army, the rest of the Twelve Peers included. And since all those knights in the army are lesser Heroic Spirits themselves and the other eleven paladins are as mighty as Roland himself and have full use of their abilities, skills and NPs, it's understandable that there is no way for Roland to survive the summoning, no matter how much prana his Master supplies to him.

Thoughts, opinions, anything?

Tbh, I dont think Roland would have Oliphaunt, tbh.

Summoning Charlemagnes Army, should be something Charlemagne does (if at all). Roland was just one of the Twelve Peers. Its the equivalent of Lancelot or Bedivere summoning the Knights of the Round. Does not make sense, imo.

Hmn, that profile a couple posts back reminds me -- don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest Jack Churchill as a Servant.

Seriously, he might be modern and not have quite so much fame, but is he Heroic Spirit material? I'd say definitely.

And his class? Archer (longbow), perhaps Saber (claymore)? No, Mad Jack is none other than a Berserker.

On the contrary, as far as I know of Roland's legend, his last task is to defend the fleeing army of Charlemagne with jsut a few people because the Muslims are chasing them in waves. Roland is explicitly ordered that if he sees he can't hold the mountain pass, he should sound the horn. He fights to the point that he can't even stand upright and nearly all of his people are dead after stopping wave after wave of Muslims. And then Roland actually uses the horn so his uncle the king can come and try to save whatever survivors of Roland's unit are left. He puts so much power behind it that his heart bursts and he died on the spot.

At least that's the version I know and IMO Oliphaunt has always being associated with Roland.

No, you misunderstand. I dont have anything against the item (Oliphant), just the effect. Charlemagnes army is Charlemagnes to call, imo. Not Rolands. In addition to that, when he blew Oliphant, he was the last of the Twelve surviving, so it would be reasonable to expect that they would not be included (since none of the Twelve showed up to save him in the legend) in the effect.

The White Death would really be a game-breaker IMO. And his probably going to have an Endurance rating of A+ considering what that guy lived through.

I created a Hahya servant, and my own set of modern classes: Rifle, Sniper, Gunner, Pilot, Sabotuer

Simo Hahya
Class: Sniper
Alignment: Neutral Good
Master: Luvia Edelfelt (Finn-shipping)

Strength: A
Agility: C
Mana: C
Luck: EX
Endurance: A+
Noble Phantasm: A

Class skills:
Magic Resistance: D
Riding: E

Technological Superiority: B

Class skill of the Rifle, Sniper, and Gunner class, giving an attack bonus against any of the "knight classes" (Saber, Lancer, Archer).

Personal skills:

Independent Action: A.
Hahya spent months kneeling in snow in the middle of the woods, waiting for his target

Noble Phantasms:
White Death: A+.
A noble phantasm that forces the enemy into a reality marble consisting of a Finnish woodland in winter. The cold will cause damage based on the native climate of the enemy, the warmer the climate of their home, the more the cold will damage and disable them. To top it off, Hahya will fire powerful, mana-infused bullets into the enemy, capable of taking down some servants in one shot, particularly after considering the effects of the cold.

Molotov Cockail: C.
A prana-infused molotov similar to the favored anti-tank weapon of the Finns in the Winter War.

Here's a Servant I've been cooking up, dedicated to those lovable Western characters.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: DRIFTER
Servant Class: Archer (Gunner, really)
Alignment: Neutral (Good/True/Evil all applicable, depending on the Master)
Strength: E
Endurance: D
Speed: C
Magic: E
Luck: B
Noble Phantasm: B
Class Skills
Independent Action: A
Riding: D
Personal Skills
Battle Continuance: D
Bravery: C
Clairvoyance: D
Disengage: B
Eye of the Mind (False): B
Instinct: C
Noble Phantasms
Quick Draw Fastest Gun in the West
Anti-Personnel
Rank: B
This Noble Phantasm embodies the spread of tales and myths of legendary feats of speed during the days of the Wild West. From immense training and experience, Archer will always fire first in a battle against Noble Phantasms and kill. Even if the target activates theirs first, Archer will had shot before them; cancelling out their action. It is avoidable, but to counter it effectively, one needs a high rank of Luck, not Speed. Speed is irrelevant because Archer will always fire first. Luck will determine who will die and who will live.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DRIFTER is not an orthodox Servant in that he has no single identity. He is the amalgamation of all the heroes of Western stories told around the world. Stories of men or women who traversed the American West and became legendary heroes or villains from their amazing feats.

Drifter shoots first, Bazett uses Fraggle, Fraggle wins because Rank A?

Bazett shoots Fraggle normally, Quick draw shoots first. Fraggle is now the second attack, Retaliator activates, Fraggle wins again because it's now Rank A?

Or they both die either way, like Fraggle vs Gae Bolg?

*shrug*

SeiKeo

I'm pretty sure that they don't die, because why that happened was that GB is "always strikes." My guess would be that Fraggle wins...

...unless it shoots first and kills her before she can use Fraggle. Nasu...

Drifter shoots first (because he "always shoots before his enemy").

Fraggle hits first (because it always "hits first" due to timehax).

Thats how I see it. And Fraggle has higher rank when in "Retaliator" mode.

Here's one from an upcoming fanfic, based on an idea I posted in the Fanfic Ideas thread. Don't read if u no want rather mild spoilers.

-------------------

Servant: Longinus
Class: Lancer

Background: Initially nameless, Longinus is the Roman Centurion who is known for piercing the side of the crucified Jesus with his spear, and when water and blood spilled forth, asserting that Jesus was the son of God. After his death he was named a Saint, and several apocryphal stories exist, including ones of him suffering eternal torment much like the Greek titan Prometheus, and losing his sight and becoming a preacher. The latter is represented here.

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance – B

Personal Skills:

Sainthood – C (grants a minor boost to stats for being named a Saint, based on importance/fame as a Saint)

Bravery – D

Charisma – D

Clairvoyance – A (grants sight even if blinded, can see slightly into the future, plus the bonuses of lower ranks)

Blindness – EX (This servant is irrevocably blind, however in some cases this can be fixed, see above)

Noble Phantasm:

Longinus – The Spear of Destiny A+

Saint Longinus' only Noble Phantasm is the spear or lance that shares his name, and is considered one of the greatest Christian relics. It increases Saint Longinus' power output based on the divinity of his foe exponentially*. When its name is invoked, its next strike will never miss Saint Longinus' foe, however this strike, no matter how wounded the foe is or how much damage the strike deals, will never kill. There is no escape from the Spear of Destiny when its power is called upon, regardless of MGI or LCK. In addition, anyone killed with the spear will return extra prana to Saint Longinus, in the case of a magic user or fellow Servant, this amount is always exactly as much as they have left just before their death.

If the spear is ever destroyed, Saint Longinus will be doomed to die, and will be entirely unable to regenerate prana or heal from wounds, regardless of restoration magic used, as this is the holy lance's curse: to kill whomever loses it.

Stats:

Strength - C
Agility - B
Magic - C+
Luck - A
Endurance – B

* For example, a Servant with E rank Divinity would suffer a small amount of extra damage, while one with A rank Divinity would be doomed unless they were particularly powerful.

-------------------

Overall he's fairly average, just boosted up by being a Saint and by having his super duper spear. As an addendum to the anti-Divine properties, an example of how effective it would be would be that it would allow him to fight on par with Heracles, but at the same time make him at about the same level or a bit stronger than Medusa against her.

Saint: Signifies being known as a saint. When summoned as a Servant, a Saint's ability is chosen as one out of: "raise the effectiveness of sacraments", "automatic HP recovery", "Charisma rank up by 1", or "can produce a holy shroud".

Joan of Arc's in Apocrypha. Don't think there was anything mentioning its rank.

Every since he was old enough to walk, Berserker rang the bells of the Notre Dame cathedral. This Noble Phantasm causes all those in the area to suffer from raucous ringing caused by the bells. With the pull of a rope, all targets within range are stunned by the ringing lowering END and STR by one rank for several rounds. Berserker is immune due to him being deaf from years of being the bell-ringer for the cathedral.

Berserker is the fictional hunchback, Quasimodo of Notre Dame. A man who was feared as a monster by the general populace of Paris, yet was more human than those who feared and hated him and his grotesque appearance. Possessing immense strength, he'd ring the bells of Notre Dame everyday for his adoptive master, Archdeacon Frollo, whom he depended on like a son to his father. Until one day, a gypsy caravan arrived in Paris and a beautiful young woman named Esmeralda changed his life forever......

Another one, from the same fanfic:

----------------------------

Servant: Rostam
Class: Saber

Background: Rostam is the name of two important Persian figures, one historical and one mythical, with the latter believed to be based on the former. As a child he slew a white elephant in a single blow, and tamed a wild stallion after single-handedly taking a fortress. Later in life he embarked upon his Seven Labours, similar to those of Heracles. As a hero, Rostam is suited equally well to the Rider and Saber classes, though the representation here is of the Saber class, focusing on his own martial prowess.

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance – C

Riding - A

Personal Skills:

Sole Combatant – A (when fighting without the aid of others besides their master, the Servant has increased effectiveness in battle, plus proportional increases to STR and END based on number of enemies)

Instinct – B

Battle Continuation - C+

Noble Phantasm:

Rakhsh – The Lightning Stallion - C

Rostam has access to his famed steed, the only horse that can bear him. As a Saber, however, its effectiveness in battle is greatly reduced, to the point where Rakhsh is mostly a very durable and fast mount for Rostam.

Haft Khan-e Rostam – Blessing of Kai Kavus - B+

As a reward for killing the White Demon, Div-e-Sepid, Rostam was granted the power to restore himself seven times, using the remnants of the White Demon's heart. When he is low on prana, the heart will automatically restore all prana and remove all hindrances such as blindness, sickness or fear, bringing Rostam back to peak condition. This, obviously, has no cost. A passive effect of the heart is also to drain the prana of casters in a fifty-foot radius, preventing them from accessing many of their spells and dispelling illusions.

Mace of the White Elephant – Hereditary Weapon's Curse - C-A

Rostam's grandfather's mace is his chief weapon, and one that is specialized in slaying elephants. At will it can instead become a sword that slays demons, gaining access to a special skill – Body of the Black Fiend, with which Rostam has one single strike when drawing his sword that can slice a foe directly in half.

Body of the Black Fiend – Single Drawing Cut - A

At the beginning of a battle, Rostam can draw his sword and follow it through with a strike, allowing him to deal an often deadly blow aimed to slice his enemy exactly in half. Against demons, it will always connect. The impact of the attack creates a rippling wave of force that disrupts the internal organs of the victim, rupturing their flesh and breaking their bones, making for a smooth cut. Any foes directly behind the initial victim can suffer similar effects. Unavailable as a Rider; can only be used as the Saber class.

Stats:

Strength - A
Agility - C
Magic - B
Luck - E
Endurance – A

Why don't you merge this two in the same NP? You could make it a NP designed to kill phantasmal beast (kind of Nine Lives).

Haft Khan-e Rostam – The Hero's Journey - EX

Rostam is a hero who has been through many different trials and quests in his lifetime, and this manifests itself in a number of varied Noble Phantasms in one, as it were. He has seven passive invocations, each utilizing the exploits of one of his Seven Labours.

-While he sleeps, Rostam's horse guards him and alerts him to danger, often fighting it off himself before Rostam wakes.
-If Rostam is nearly out of prana by any means, once only can he regain all his prana instantly.
-Rostam's weapons all have toughened from slaying a dragon, allowing them to pierce through even magical armours.
-At the last moment Rostam will always see through illusions, with enough warning so that he can save himself.
-When fighting against a much larger force, Rostam gains proportionally greater STR and END. Near invincible!
-Regardless of hindrances, Rostam always fights well against demons and those associated with them.
-Fighting Casters is made easier as Rostam's weapons drain a magi's prana with each strike, depleting access to spells.

It doesn't have much of EX-rank... you could divide this between Personal Skills and NP:

-1) (you could develop this to be some kind of ability for his horse)
-2) (Personal Skill)
-3) (NP attribute, similar to Arondight, or additional effect; see above or fate/apocrypha Saint George)
-4) (Personal Skill)
-5) (Personal Skill or even NP, it depends, I'm not familiar with his legend)
-6) (Personal Skill or just personal attribute)
-7) (Effect for an NP)

What may sounds dumb, but did someone ever tried to create Genghis Khan as Servant (preferably of Lancer Class) with EX-ranked NP?

Shouldn't Genghis Khan be either Archer or Rider?

Sherrinford: Body of the Black Fiend is a Saber-specific NP attack. The mace/sword is the weapon, the attack is what he can do with it, but only as a Saber.

As for the second, it's EX rank simply because it doesn't fit into the ranking system. I couldn't figure out much to do with his Seven Labours, so I made up that bunch of mostly passive things.

It only seemed more pratical to me to merge them... otherwise someone might think "so, if Black Fiend is what kills the opponent, the mace itself what exist for? Just for a cameo?" (note that berserker - heracles - club is a famous weapon, heracles' favorite one, but it isn't listed as a NP in itself).

Oh, by "merge into one" I don't mean "erase one of the two", but merely don't list them as two separate NP (kind of Ea/Enuma Elish). Maybe I didn't make myself clear that time.

When I read "ex-rank" NP I always go "meh... it really is one?". Ex-ranks are supposed to be "unclassifiable" compared to other effects, not just variable in rank value or with different effects at once (but this is my interpretation). I suggested to split them because some clearly seem more Personal Skill than "one-time miracles"...

But after all, do as you like. I know I can be quite stressful at times :p :).

Of course it's not listed as an NP. He doesn't even have the club.

There, fixed it. His Seven Labours NP is more similar to Heracles' God Hand, but instead of reviving him it just restores all of his prana and brings him back to a proper fighting condition, as well as some nice anti-magic effects.

For a bit of clarification, Rostam's mace/sword NP is pretty much like Barrier of the Wind King. It just gets a spot since it has some special effects on it, namely killing elephants and turning into a sword.

Indeed. (I'm not talking about Five_X, I almost never seen a sheet for a made-up servant without ex-rank NP. See Blastedspider post up there, for example)

Well, it should be one. In some (minor) versions of the legend, that's what he used against the Hydra (and other monsters), instead of a sword, and it's also his favorite weapon. But it's okay since they can be considered the same weapon...

I thought it was that giant ax-sword-club thing, btw.

Nah, that's just a random hunk of rock from one of his temples. Same one they used to summon him.

If it's a random hunk of temple rock, how the hell did it end up looking like a sword?

The Einzberns or Berserker himself carved it like that.

Well, aside of riding and shooting arrows is normally associated with Mongols, I didn't find any basis to that. In the only legend there his weapons being described (where he defeats dragon with 8 heads) he was using spear, but it didn't have any special effects (or they weren't mentined at all).

Wait, what?
I've only made Ravana's sheet back them, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't contain any EX-ranked NP or anything.

If anything, Genghis Khan's NP would be summoning hordes upon hordes upon hordes upon hordes of Mongols to fuck up the enemy in no time flat.

I didn't even know Genghis Khan had legends. I figured he's a recent enough figure that most information about him would be historical fact. And as far as I know, horse riding and archery aren't just associated with Mongols, they were a huge part of their military strategy.

The Mongols pretty much wrote the book on horse archery and how to fight wars with nomadic forces.

Five_X
August 20th, 2011, 04:17 PM
Actually, horse archery and nomadic/steppe warfare was mastered by the Sarmatians over a thousand years before Genghis Khan was born. They even had cataphracts, despite being nomads themselves.

SeiKeo
August 20th, 2011, 04:21 PM
Oh yeah, forgot about them. Regardless, the Mongols did a lot of refining to the system, and made it into something really scary.

Yeah, but I don't think they had a written language, did they? Would have been pretty hard to write the book on something with that kind of handicap.

Define success, really. Alexander was a better general, but Genghis had his conquests last longer.

Five_X

They likely adopted the Scythian language, which was a written language.

Actually, Alex's conquests lasted longer. He prevented the East from turning into a large Persian entity so that the Romans could conquer it more easily, what with the diadochi hating each other and everything. Plus, he spread Greek culture all the way to India, influencing later scholars, especially those in Arabia.

Then our opinions on what constitutes conquests differ, I suppose. The breakup of his empire into successor states I count as a failure, personally. I'll certainly agree that he has a greater influence on history though.

Indeed, it was kind of a failure. But what matters it's the dream!

But Genghis sired descendants from nearly all over the world! :p

And something I don't get: Hannibal was known for the double envelopment strategy, but wasn't that first used in Marathon?

Five_X
August 20th, 2011, 04:35 PM
The Mongols' destruction of Baghdad is kind of a really, really terrible thing, though. At least the destruction of the Library of Alexandreia by Caesar was an accident.

Hannibal expert here!

The double envelopment was not invented by Hannibal, however it was he who perfected its use, as his use of it totally overran Sun Tzu's belief that the strategy was inefficient. While Tzu believed that double envelopment, in ridding the victim force of an escape, would make them fight harder, Hannibal's precise battle mastery prevented such from happening, and the Roman soldiers effectively collapsed under his smaller force.

If Hannibal was a Servant, he'd be Rider. And his NP would be a battle elephant.
