Another 7th Dimension staple from the old boards, now back in shiny vBulletin flavor!

I'll start by pasting one of my dreams that I mentioned on the older board, one that's Nasuverse-related. (ahem) The dream I can't remember until the very end. My dream was hectic; I was basically jumping from place to place in a very chaotic manner. At the very end, I felt exhausted. I then wake up in my bed. I roll my head right, and I see a woman with short blonde hair. She has a faint smile on her face, and she's resting her chin on her hands, and her hands were resting on my bedside. Her red eyes looked at me and she said in a gentle manner, "You feel better now?" I then woke up in the real world, rolled my head right . . . but there was no one there. Where have you gone, Arcueid?

But that's old news. Here's a new dream I had only a few days ago!

I was working in an office building. I was by myself (I think I went in on a Sunday) and I went through the entire complex, changing the ones printed everywhere to not look like this (1), but rather, to look like the more simplistic design (l) that resembles a lowercase L. The next day, everyone found out of my actions. The boss asked me why I changed the ones everywhere. This was my answer:

"Because the ones shaped like this (1) are not symmetrical! Symmetry is perfection! Lack of symmetry is imperfection! Imperfection . . . IS DISGUSTING!" I then crumpled onto the floor. I was babbling nonsense by that point. I don't remember anything else, except that.

So, what are some dreams and/or nightmares you've had?

This dream was from yesterday and it involves a witch terrorizing us with all sorts of curses in a house we don't own. In the end, we captured her and plan to send her on a psychiatrist.

Latest dream had 2 parts. Both involved running though. The first was we had stolen the arm off some pissed off chick and she was chasing us. She would appear at random, but we knew she was always close behind us. She was kinda like the Forest Spirit from Dragon Age. Her arm looked like it was wrapped in barbed wire for some reason. The second part was after we/I decided to just talk to her about WTF was going on. When I was going to do it, she appeared not too far from the store we were in, but we could tell something was fucked up. We all became terrified and ran like crazy. I ran up the store(the top floor was like 5 stories up I think) and hid in a closet. She never found me, but I could tell there was carnage throughout the store. I think I woke up right before she opened the closet door.

I had a dream where I was playing cards with the other members of BL.
Right when Theo was about to maul Mike PROBOARDS kicked down the door and shouted "LOL, YOU'RE BEING SHUT DOWN!".
Then after that it was what I usually dream about, people being brutally tortured to death and weird things.

I had a dream last night that started normal then descended into WTF... It started with me and my girlfriend together in my room hanging out. Then, all of the sudden I heard a knock on my window, so I go and check it out. There I see a large deer standing in front of my second floor window like I was on the ground floor, and then I look behind it and there are like hundreds of forest creatures in my back yard. Then, a man in a gorilla suit walks in my room and starts slowly peeling of the fur on his arms. At that point I just embraced my girlfriend a waited for the crazy to end.

I have no clue what the hell influenced that dream, all I know is I don't want another one like that any time soon...

Fun Fact: I've never had a single erotic dream in my life.

As for regular dreams, I once had one when I was a kid, and I dreamed some giant was trying to squish me. I ran up the field to my grandparents house, and was somehow safe in there, despite it not being any more sturdy than our own house.

Dreams are weird.

i have more porn than i can fap to on my computer and externals, and i still have highly experimental repressed sexually charged dreams. granted, none have become wet dreams as they happen at the edge of consciousness and i end up either cutting them off or just fapping half conscious, but that still isn't enough to say it was purely dream enough to be a wet dream. =/

The other night I had a dream that I bought the newest Pokemanz game (it wasn't Black/White). What's so special about this?

The game was jam packed with Type-MOON shout-outs and references. Similar characters/personalities/plotlines/elements (there was an Archer-expy as a Gym Leader [steel-types, of course] and he served as a recurring character/Shirou-clone rival), all wrapped up in a nifty package.

Needless to say, I raged pretty hard when I woke up and realized that it was all just a dream.... >:U

Last night, I dreamed I was traveling in an airship. The passengers and I were enjoying ourselves, when all of a sudden, we see that one of our passengers is none other than John Madden, coach/announcer/Tinactin spokesman extraordinaire. He spoke at length about football, but all of a sudden, I noticed something was fishy. When I figured out something, I shouted, "OBJECTION!" Everyone looked at me. I posited, "The man before us is NOT John Madden! The real Madden is afraid of flying! He travels in a custom-made bus! Or . . . did you get over your phobia, Mister Madden? If you have, then repeat this in red, 'I am John Madden'!" The Madden figure hesitated. I said, "You can't, caaaaaaan youuuuuuuuu!? THIS IS CHECKMATE!" The Madden phantom disappeared. The airship landed right after that.

Before that, I dreamed that some mom dumped two kids on me to babysit. I didn't feel like babysitting, so I hired Miku Hatsune to babysit for me.

I blame Persona and Verg's mysteries for yesterday's dream. And hell, it was a long one.

Basically, I was back in High School, and I talked with my old friends during the break. It seemed these things (http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumblarge_548/12872099302OXe2C.jpg) had become quite popular among students, and everywhere was running around with them, specially girls. I did not pay much attention to them, as I tend not to believe so much on fortune, and well, I was practically forced by a group of girls to 'play' once. I think I've got something like good fortune in money and work or something like that. Anyways, the bell rang and we all went inside. The lecture lasted less than a minute, and the classroom was really distorted. I wonder how I did not realize it was a dream at this point. Anyhow, I was suddenly back at home, having a bath, when my friend calls me, and tells me there have been a series of murders, and all the victims seem to be from our school. After some crazy talk that did not even make sense, we concluded that the killer had the ability to shapeshift into one of those thinks I linked you to (I don't even know how they are called...) and decided to call it a day.

The call was over and now I enjoyed a hot water bath, or not quite so. I remember thinking so much about what had happened than my forehead and my neck started to hurt. It was at that time that I spotted one of those things flying in the bathroom (How is that even possible?). Anyways, the second I saw it, I realized it was the killer. It flew slow, so without hesitation I tried to catch it... Only for it to speed up suddenly, getting out of my sight. A second later, I felt something strike me (It didn't actually hurt) from behind. I fell back into the bathtub, dead... Or not. I was aware I was killed but I was still concious.

And then it ended. o.OU

I had the weirdest dream since the last time I can remember.

It was a Friday afternoon, and I was making plans to watch a movie with my homies from school. After all, we all lived on campus. This time, it was my turn to drive. Before we leave, we need to pick up a few things. And eat. So we decide to get some In-n-Out, since there's one close by to campus. (So far, everything seems familiar and somewhat plausible.)

So now we step out and I'm driving. This is where things start getting strange. My car is no longer the Crispy-mobile (so kindly nicknamed by said friends irl), but a super beat up old school pick-up truck. Moreover, the campus hills are more like mountains now, and the roads are narrow one-way mountain roads. (Alright, so a change of scenery, that's alright) As I head off campus, I'm driving downhill and see one road above me and the road I'm currently on sloping down at an increasing angle. However, this is the correct way off-campus (in-dream), so I'm used to it.

But homie-A tells me to turn left, NOW! Oh hey, there's an extremely obscured branch road that connects to the overhead road I saw earlier. Cool. So what's up here? "Didn't you know, there's a new In-n-Out campus now, instead of 3 minutes away." (Oh that makes so much sense. Whatever, I can dig it. I'm fully aware that this is a dream in dream by now, so I'm just going along for the ride.) "Don't forget to buy some gum, I can't watch movies without gum" says homie-B, aka steady-girl. wut. (okay, this is starting to deviate too much. whatever, I've been in the mood for a burger for a while, but haven't had money, so if I can get some in a dream, it'll be great since it's a vivid dream, so as long as I wake up while eating it, the flavor will linger in my mouth...)

So I pick up two 5 packs of gum, wintergreen and spearmint, after comparing the prices to individual piece sales. Since apparently there's a gum rack at the on-campus In-n-Out. Okay. I'm at the register to buy the gum and place my order. I do my usual. Double-double, animal-style. Wait for them to input all of it, since giving the entire order confuses some people. Next, one fries order, also animal style. This is where I get really confused.

cashier: "Ah, sir, don't you know, in order to serve raw food, we can't let you order without an ID."

me: "raw food?"

cashier: "yes, we no longer melt the cheese for animal style fries, since the fries do the melting for us. however, since we don't make sure it melts, it counts as not cooking it, so we classify it as raw."

me: "okay, well, I was gonna pay with my credit card anyways, here's my ID and card. oh yeah, I'll also be taking these gum packs."

cashier: "will you be charging these to the card as well?"

me: "yeah"

cashier: "alright, here you go. so today's total is forty-three dollars and fifty-two cents. also, since we can't allow you to buy over-the-counter items like the gum unless you have proof of residence, I've charged 1000 dollars to your credit account. Do you want this in the form of 49-meals, or as a proceeds to a new visa or mastercard account?"

me: (okay wtf. all logical pathways are shutting down. and my order can't be that expensive. it should be 7-9 dollars with the gum included. whatever, i guess i can continue. but i know i don't have 1000 dollars in that credit card account. how'd it get authorized?) "and you've already put the 1000 through? are these 49-meals for any place on campus, or only here?"

cashier: *starts singing anime songs in moon speak*

me: "ma'am? i'm asking a question here. where do these meals apply? and did the transaction already get approved?"

cashier: *continues singing anime songs*

me: "ma'am... a...in... .. ...es...n......"
*static noise and fade away and then I wake up*
me awake: "wtf was that. and why do I feel panic? I knew that was a dream halfway through, but I feel like that overcharged account was real..."

>Rock brings along CM Punk as his second, Taker brings Kane
>somewhere along the line, stuff gets fuzzy in my memory, although I do recall Rock winning due to Punk being great at cheating and mind games
>also, Vince gets pissy about Punk cheating and challenges him to a match
>Punk agrees, bringing along Bryan as his second, with Vince bringing Taker
>shit goes down, similar to the manga, with the same insane bouts of luck and the same "signature moves"

>Vince, being the insane bastard he is, agrees
>Punk and Bryan start losing
>Vince suggests raising the stages again, bringing in a machine that connects your bloodstream to your points, draining blood if you start losing, all the way down to an empty husk if you lose
>Punk agrees, with Bryan vehemently disagreeing and leaving
>Vince claims that with Punk being a man down, he might as well just give up
>Punk just smiles and gestures towards the shadows of the warehouse
>out steps William Motherfucking Regal
>the game continues, with Punk still being on the losing side, but not all that finished
>eventually, Vince believes he has the match won and starts playing aggressively, going for high value hands to absolutely make sure he removes Punk from his life completely
>Punk instead pulls a miracle hand out of his ass, with Regal doing the same (can't remember the names, but Punk's definitely referred to "I am a snake")
>Vince and Haitch lose and die, but not before Punk reveals he suckered Vince into raising the stakes so that he can take over the company
>wrestling enters another boom period and the WWE becomes even more of a global juggernaut

I don't normally sleep deeply enough to dream, unless I'm taking something. Last night, however, I had an amusing dream. Nasu related.

There was no setup, just the amusement of running around my hometown with a frontrow seat for a a fight between Saber and Rider!Zero, and finding out later through an amusing set of circumstances that, at least in my dream, Arturia is ticklish as all hell.

I had a very very strange (but particularly amusing) dream last night, and it was definitely one of the more memorable ones I've had in a while.

Basically, apparently in this dream deviatesfish was getting married (???) and a bunch of BLers were invited somehow for some reason. There was a whole big space and us BLers apparently got to the ceremony embarrassingly quickly, ahead of everyone else. We sort of stood in the positions that we were supposed to (that is surprisingly often done at larger weddings), and I noted that there were a bunch of squares set up, some higher than others, all connected by stairs and interspersed by bug gardens. It was definitely a big place that had been rented out. I apparently noticed a few BLers, too.

There was one twist: I was Mami, from PMMM.

I adjusted to that fairly quickly, and then more guests arrived; apparently Fishie entered the area around the wedding arch from another direction and it was all different from a normal wedding or something. It was all SRS BIZNESS and then everybody arrived and we stood. There was a bit of time to walk around and I did so, with no one noticing that I was Mami, and I looked about trying to stand by someone I knew from BL.

Then there was an eating period picnic thing where we all sat down and I overheard some woman talking about a speech she would give, and I walked about after eating some Indian food. It was pretty chill and I was looking for someone from BL whom I was looking for previously but did not find. Some people apparently laughed, and then I noted that we invited BLers had built in IRC so we could secretly chat and stuff in multiple channels, though for some reason none of them were #notes; they were all centered around Books and Games and stuff like that, oddly enough.

I for some reason tried to put on a bike helment, then noted that that would not work, for I was Mami and I was wearing that cute hat of hers. So then I jumped off of a tall ledge and landed without any damage on my feet, this time making the point that yes, I was indeed a mahou shoujo of some sort. No one at all seemed bothered by my antics. I tried to get close to deviatesfish who was talking with some friends, but unfortunately I could not. I did chat with some little kids though, and they were a'ight.

Then we sat around on the ground again and the wedding happened, and there were a few speeches, from some people and family members involved; over magic super duper IRC we BLers gave our opinions on the speeches and wedding and stuff. Apparently the woman who was talking about her speech earlier gave it last, asking anyone who would oppose the wedding to stand up, kind of threatening them. There were a lot of people gathered there at the fancy wedding, and a couple of them (that I could see) stood up.

Then the dream ended and I was left wondering.

I had a dream...well I had maybe three or four dreams that I'm aware of last night, but I only remembered the full details of the most recent one I had just before waking up fully.

I was going to work and rather than take the bus, which would have been 30 minutes, I take a longer...more convoluted route...and for some reason, I took my brother with me. He came with me on my journey to Waterloo station, which I think I took the train near my house to (I live about 20 minutes from my local railway station) When we arrived, I noticed that the station had undergone a major redecoration in preparation for the 2012 Olympics...it was more colourful and looked to be more organised, but at the same time it was a bit more difficult to look for the train I was looking for.

With my brother following me, I follow the signs for the Bakerloo line (I don't know why, it doesn't even go near my workplace!) and we happen across a set of double doors and escalators, position opposite, going up. I'm confused as there are no further signs, but the Bakerloo line could be caught from here. I end up walking around, trying to find out where it is and run into a female station employee and ask her for directions. She says to follow her and guides me around the station, through an 'Employee Only' door that has stairs placed outside the station going up one level and overlooking the river, and I'm in a lounge area. She says that I can catch the train here and leaves. I look around and see people having coffee/tea/reading the paper at the cafe or on the seats - very 'lounge-like' and so I walk around trying to find where the platform is, only to find that she's taken me to the wrong place.

I make my way back to the ground floor and look at the time - it's 10am; I'm an hour late for work and I tell my brother to forget it and to take me to work by car. He sighs and says okay (he hasn't said a word until now, but is clearly fed up of me walking about aimlessly) and we exit the station and find his car parked in the car park (how?) and our youngest brother waiting in the car (he didn't drive it over) We get in and my youngest brother drives us back home - as we leave the station area, the train on the Bakerloo line just leaves and I realise that I should have taken the first set of escalators I saw up to the next level! - and takes me to work. It's about 11.30am when I get in.

That's when I wake up and realise 15 minutes had passed since I last woke up. Cue me getting ready for work...

I was on sick leave yesterday and slept almost all day. I saw a weird dream and it continued even if I woke up every now and then. My name was Anna and I was the Russian Tsar's only daughter, and my father died, so I was supposed to become the empress. I wasn't interested in the job, so it was totally ok for me that my uncle will become the emperor. But for some reason there was supposed to be elections for it and he would be emperor only if everyone voted him. Some people wanted to kill me, so that nobody can vote me. I had three little children and we lived under a huge fir tree (!). We had to escape, because our enemies could find our whereabouts, and our neighbours (who lived in real houses) helped us escape in the middle of the night...

I saw this dream through all day, so there were many small details and it felt so real all the time. I mean, I could almost smell the small forest, where we lived. :p

I've had a recurring dream for about...two?...weeks now, so I thought I might as well share.

When I come to I'm wandering around in some African or Middle Eastern country. Lots of sand, dusty road, small stream. I'm staring at the ground while walking because I'm suffering from sunstroke or something similar. Either way my vision is blurred and I'm staring at my feet as I walk. But I'm always on this hill covered with yellow grass and I always end up walking right into this crowd of ponies that are tied to metal poles and are continuously walking in circles, like they're set up for kiddie rides.

I'm so out of it every time that I walk smack dab into one of these ponies (although sometimes its a golden retriever mix). It turns its head and gives me this really dirty look, like it thinks I'm a class-A moron for bumping into it. I get this feeling that the pony (or dog in some cases) is going to bite me, but it never does, and instead I end up getting shaken from my stupor and then I unhitch the pony/dog and walk it up the hill to the small town on top where a festival(?) is being held.

At least, I think it's a festival. Music is playing all around, right? And those ponies (and dogs, sometimes) have to be hitched for a reason, right? But whenever I get to the buildings I never see the "festival", and then my dream cuts to something else entirely.

I've had this for about one-to-two weeks now. I think it might be because I've been recently going to bed abnormally late, and in turn sleeping until late morning in intervals of sleep and awakeness.

I'll experiment by staying up late and going to sleep at the time I have been doing so these past few days. Will let you know if anything turns up.

Had a dream where I was inside what was supposed to be a building, but the inside was all dark and decrepid with pipes everywhere, and a tall dark shaft to the roof.
But the roof had a beautiful view of Kensingon (an area of Central-West London, where I go to university, and used to live in and around for 2 years).

From the outside though, it looked like a normal tall house, with no beautiful roof visible....

Weird.

Dreams are a vital part of life. If you don't dream, then you're missing out on half the experience of life. Nowadays whenever I sleep, I instantly wake up the next day. I'm either stressed or just gradually losing my humanity.

I find my dreams correlate with my mental state.
When I am stressed, I am more likely to sleep lots and have intense dreams.
When I am mentally stable, I have odd dreams.

I don't dream if I have had lots to drink, though. Nor do I dream if I am sharing a bed with someone.

I've found myself dreaming more often lately. I think it has to do with how deeply I sleep. I'm an extremely light sleeper, and have difficulty sleeping regularly, so I started taking melatonin to help me get to sleep and stay that way.

You know I think I have dreams within dreams. Some times I go to sleep, and then I don't even realize I'm asleep because in my dream I'm awake on my bed trying to sleep. Sometimes my body freezes and i can't move it or breath. I then fall asleep in the dream and I have a dream while I sleep in my own dream. I have the weirdest dreams to.

Once the whole entire world had stupid biker gangs and for some reason they were all attacking people. And everyone I knew had guns and were shooting them off. Another one I was dreaming that the world was ending and I was being chased by some damn T - Rex. i was screaming WTF the whole entire time.

Dreams are sure weird.

@Lili: That sucks. Maybe something was tapping you in the face while you slept? Sometimes what happens around you seems to affect your dreams on a subconscious level.

Actually I panic the hell out of it when ever it happens. I keep feeling out somethings trying to come through my door and I keep screaming at my body to move. The wierd thing I can move it for a like a second trying to get my legs out onto the floor from my bed, then my body stops moving and I panic the hell even more. It's... a unique experience to say. Of course I then I feel my head to vibrate one night when i actually realized I was following asleep. (I also tried to see if I could make my own dreams but that didn't work quite well. Don't feel too bad. I've seriously had dreams where I've died before. That whole thing about dying irl when you die in dreams is superstition.

Srsly, I was caught in this warped, distorted world that reminded me of pictures of Victorian Era London's slums, the whole place filled with fog that blurred the edges of everything, with the dull street lamps the only source of light. I had this tremendous sensation of being followed or chased by something, but I could never see what it was, until the end of the dream, when, after running around for seemingly hours, I came face to face with this strange, silver-haired man who killed me with his shadow, of all things. It transformed into a mass of blades and death-like images and ripped me to pieces.

And, having typed that out, I now realize why I hate the minigame in Shikoku no Sharnoth with a passion, even though the setting more resembled the trippy backgrounds from Darkstalkers games.

I've had dreams like this (quite often) an example would be once when my mum had put up curtains in the living room, she asked me why I hadn't said anything since they were new - I didn't say anything because I had seen them before in a dream. I can't remember the dream now, but that was a 'deja vu' dream...

I've had some quite recently, like work-related or home-related. I'll be doing something in a dream and the next day or so, I do the exact same thing under the exact same circumstances. Maybe I don't get phased by these instances, since I have so many dreams like it...I kind of just shrug it off.

I did however have this one re-occurring dream during my childhood (like 12 and under) and today even certain sounds will trigger it and I feel the exact same fear I used to get. Someone well-versed in dream interpretation (who doesn't know about my personal circumstances) suggested it could be regarding my eyes not working properly or something like that...

One involved me moving house into a small bedroom only accessible from within a major road tunnel in London... it had no windows, but it was really warm, and quiet.
Another involved me seeing a newborn baby at someones house
The other involved me escaping from a warehouse Deus-Ex style (it was seriously straight out of Deus Ex)
And the other consisted of me meeting a girl I hadn't seen for 10 years, we were sitting on the field of my old primary school just chatting.....

Its odd that I remember all of these.... Its possible they were all one dream, but they felt too distinct from each other.

wooooooaaaaah I had a dream again finally!

This one was fairly mundane, but I did find it really interesting. It involved myself and a friend (not anyone I actually know, just some guy) going to a private academy in the middle of nowhere. I think it might have been near the ocean, but I know at least it was often very sunny and was roughly around a forest. As with many of my dreams, it was in the format of a visual novel.

One of the first things that happened was an actual friend of mine taking up fencing, and getting in a sword fight with another guy, who was pretty tough. He apparently managed to send my friend flying backwards when he defeated him, and it was all, "Woah, holy shit." But this academy was chill, and no one cared.

The academy had pretty much everything needed to sustain life and such, even including a medium-sized mall, theatre, jobs, etc. One night I was investigating something, I don't know exactly what, and I was going around with this girl I was apparently friends with at this academy. I was doing some parkour stuff, checking mailboxes and whatnot and I found some interesting things. One was a cheque that was for not only a sizable monetary return, but also acted as a free ticket to a show at the theatre, among a couple other things.

However, it was around then that the girl I guess wanted that cheque, and brought out a flamethrower and started burning everything. I dodged around and avoided her, and my fencing friend came out and subdued her. After that the tough jock guy arrived on scene, and started hassling my friend. They got into another fight and the jock won again, but not without having to use some kind of superpower.

Everyone started yelling, "Hacker!" which leads me to believed that this possibly took place in some kind of virtual world.

The next event was a sort of "sports day" that the whole student body had to participate in. There was even a girl who was apparently recently pregnant. I also remember that she had big boobs, but that's beside the point. We got into two lines, one for men and one for women, and were sort of paired up for no reason at all. The front of the school was turned into a gigantic field and such for activities, and the first thing we did was some strange gymnastics thing, with two teams competing against each other. Naturally, the jock dude was on the team exactly opposite mine.

After the gymnastics team game thing, it was time for the next event: running. I was one of the only people on my team entered in that, and overall there weren't many people who had signed up to be in that part of the competition. There was only really the jock and I.

We started running, and kept pace with each other, with the jock nearer to the outside of the track. Then, something completely ridiculous happened and the friend I had come to this academy with drove up behind us in a dune buggy or go-kart sort of vehicle, flying through the air with a makeshift bedsheet gliding mechanism keeping him aloft. He somehow stuck the jock to the side of the buggy with an arrow/grappling hook contraption, and I just jumped onto the glider. We were both like, "Fuck yeah!" and drove off, dropping the jock somewhere.

We drove down a road that stretched alongside the academy, going actually quite slow - perhaps due to the drag caused by the bedsheet wings. Eventually we lost sight of the academy, and crossed a number of rivers. The bridges that were supposed to allow us to get over those bridges were all crumbled and old, mostly taken over by nature. For the first two or so we managed to just drive over the rubble, but the second posed a problem we couldn't get past. In addition to that there was a large semi-truck coming up behind us since almost when we started driving, and would easily crush us.

So, we drove into the river, got out, and climbed up onto the other side of the bridge. I don't remember where my friend went at this point, but I kept going along the road until it became dirt and entered the forest. Behind me, the semi executed an impossible u-turn on the solid portion of the bridge, turning right around and crushing where we would have been anyway. It was still sunny daytime, all the way through this expedition.

I left the dirt road, finding that it merged onto a railroad track. There was more open space here and I could see for a good ways ahead, but to my left there was just a wall around twice my height and coloured a light blue, preventing me from looking over it; it seemed to have some earthen material behind it. There were two trains ahead, one coming in my direction on one set of tracks, the other heading away. I apparently made a save state in the visual novel that this was, and according to the save this was "Day 100", but I already had a Day 100 saved so I renamed this one "Day 100!" and guessed I was near the end of the visual novel.

Then, inexplicably, I ended up back at my own IRL university's campus, and it was night. It was far darker than a city night should have been, and in the distance I saw a person hanging from a noose from the top of one of the buildings. That was immensely disturbing and I ran around calling "Help!" because I really couldn't see anyone around here. Eventually I found plenty of people in costumes, apparently waiting for the doors to a party or something to open. I want up to one guy, who had his mask off, and I told him about the hanging person. He was like, "Wait, seriously? You're killing the fun, man."

And then the dream ended. And now I realize why my dreams are crazy and lead to good stories.

Your dreams are far too detailed.

Tonight I dreamt that I was Dark Sakura. I was in an artbook, but I was completely aware of it. I started off most of the way out of the book, in a 3D sort of way, but then I got pushed back by some kind of gravity. Despite this, I was unaccountably desperate to break out and be 3D. To facilitate this, I started moving through the artbook, slipping over the edge of pages to move from one to the next. Seemed like I was the only sentient drawing - all the others were just static. It ended sort of in the middle of this very bizarre wandering. Dunno what provoked that.

Clearly, it is a Freudian reaction to your own flatness. :P

That's far too plausible. Arguably that makes the joke funnier. :p

More correctly, that would be time for a "Yo dawg" joke.

I had some weird that some guy knew was able to shoot lazers from his arms and his shouts blew people away. And for some reason two other people were helping him blow up a colorful house with a bomb because there was no chocolate left in the house.

I now realize that my dreams are now getting really crazy for some reason.

New dream. I thought some local magazine had an article about Touhou, and I think it discusses why someone can relate to real life criminals and villains less than to some of the game's characters.

Too much Nasuverse before going to sleep last night.

Had a dream I was a young Dead Apostle, and tons of people were hunting me. I settled down in a ton of cities, and ended up getting found and skipping town like 8 times before the dream was over. At one point I ended up in a dead end with someone walking slowly through the shadows while I was trapped hiding behind a dumpster like a scared little shit. I don't remember how I got out, but holy shit was it terrifying. Then I finally managed to set up a good base in some city. I had tons of the Dead there and I was just stockpiling power, actually not being scared as shit at all times for once. Then some magus found my lair and I woke up just as my base was flooded with flames. :|

I dreamt about... Losing a tooth, but it stays inside my mouth and I can't get it out. It felt so real that I had to check if I really lost my tooth when I was asleep. And I heard that dreaming about losing teeth is a bad omen...

Okay, a lot of last night's dream I remember, but the exact dialog I'm not sure, so it's reconstructed for your convenience.

In my dream, I'm listening to a song, and a guy walks in. He asks, "Whatcha doin'?" I reply, "Writing lyrics." He asked, "For what?" I told him, "I learned of this old Genesis game called Earnest Evans. The song that plays in the first level was fucking badass! I'd expect nothing else from Motoi Sakuraba! When I hear that song, I imagine the Saturday Morning Cartoons of my childhood, and then I thought, 'Wait, if I added lyrics, I could turn this into a theme song!'"

My friend looks pessimistic, "But you don't know anything about writing lyrics!" I counteracted, "Yeah I do! It's like writing poetry!" He says, "But you haven't written poetry since high school!" I said, "Nuh uh! I started writing poetry again! Look!" I point him the link to my series of oneshot Madoka fanfics, since two of them contain poems. He reads them, and thinks, "Oh what? Are all your new poems about heroism? Why?"

By this point, I get sidetracked, "Why!? Because no one understands Sayaka-chan like I do! She is the least-liked of the magical girls! Everyone's all like, 'oh, she's so emo! Why can't she be cool like Homura?' IDIOTS! You're missing the whole point of her character! In fact, my speaking of her isn't enough! I must communicate my feelings with music!"

And then I started waving my hands like I was conducting an orchestra. "Symposium Magarum" started playing. All of a sudden, the scenery transformed into a collage of still shots of Sayaka in despair. Very Akiyuki Shinbo-esque, I must say. The collage lasted for about twenty seconds. Then my friend asked "What were we talking about again?" (Okay, that last line didn't happen, but everything else did.)

By the way, it should be mentioned that I had watched Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei yesterday, and that I had listened to some of the Madoka soundtrack before going to bed last night. Going by this logic, my dream tonight should be about Shana and feature music from Blaz Blue!

As the date suggests, this is the dream from the turn of the month. I keep a personal log of interesting dreams I have for inspiration purposes. This one, though, I felt should be posted. I don't normally have the degree of clarity, either of awareness or thinking, in my dreams found in this one, making it really stand out to me.

3/1/2012

Last night I had a strange dream, which I blame at least in part on the fact that I had just finished the “Midsummer Night’s Pirates” section of Liarsoft’s Visual Novel Forest, and had spent a bit of time thinking about the symbolism of a certain ticking reptile in Neverland. It’s really bizarre. Normally, I have lucid dreams. I realize I’m dreaming fairly quickly because of inconsistencies, and then just go along for the ride. This is the first time I’ve ever had one where I became convinced it was a dream, and then began to doubt that realization within the dream itself. The fact that I understood that my dreams don't normally reach the point they were at while being within the dream, and then going beyond that point is a disturbing sensation. I even felt pain, weariness, exhaustion… Even more, my dreams rarely stay in my mind this long, or this vividly, nor are they this long in the dreaming itself. I don’t normally remember my thoughts from within my own dreams, for example, though there have been a few exceptions over the years.

Anyway, I awoke suddenly from dreamless unconsciousness within the dream itself. I had no idea where I was or what was going on. Everything was dark, deep in the night, but the moon and stars were bright, so I could see, and there were fires nearby that I took to be torches or lamps of some kind. The air smelled salty and smoky, and everything was damp.

Soon enough someone found me, and it turned out that I was on a pirate ship. As in, something fitting for Captain Teach or Cook. Or perhaps Hook, considering what happened later, but meh. Anyway, they took me for a stowaway, which might have been accurate since I had no idea how I got there, and they were getting ready to throw me overboard.

I looked around, hoping I could find sight of land or something. Behind the ship, I could see this huge shadow that looked like it was an island, but it seemed like it was dominated by an impossibly huge mangrove tree, far larger than the ship even in the distance. I could see monstrous roots diving into the ocean, and I thought I saw strange shadows flying around its boughs. To the left of me, I saw massive cliffs, but they were nothing but ominous black shadows.

Just then, one of the crew screamed and pointed up into the night sky, and everyone looked. There was some sort of huge, horrific shape there, impossibly long. It was a beige/brown/ dull golden color in the light from the ship. It was a titanic, sinuous shape, like a giant snake flying through the air. A huge pair of wings were folded against it, like those of a bat, but they never moved, even though it somehow glided through the air. It had a long, slender neck with a short, broad head like a poisonous snake or some kind of strange dog, and two curving horns arched back from its skull above the back of its neck.
And it was flying right over the ship.

The creature hit the sails and rigging, tearing them down and cracking the main mast with this ear-splitting sound, the force making the ship rock and list. Pirates were thrown from the ship, and I wound up falling to my knees as the thing passed overhead. People were screaming as the huge snake-thing turned its body back around. Somehow, that tail still stretched off into infinity, so that I couldn’t see the end of it, the whole back of the creature just seemed to hover in the air, fixed in place, as it rolled back on its own body to turn.

Pirates started to jump off the ship and into the water as the creature writhed in the air. Just as I thought it looked like some sort of bizarre dragon, it opened its mouth and breathed gouts flame at the ship, setting parts of the remaining masts and rigging ablaze. Cinders flew through the air and the ship began to list further and further, the fire spreading as the remains of the rigging and the damaged central mast fell. I found myself thrown into the sea well after the majority of the pirates, who were already swimming for the mangrove island. The ocean swelled pulling me away from the band of swimming people and back towards the ship, and then beyond it in another direction, as if there were some great unseen current that had caught me up.

I was spun around, disoriented for a moment. When I turned again so that I could see the ship, and the people swimming from it, I realized that I had somehow been drawn closer to them again, I simply couldn’t understand why.

Then the massive shadow of the dragon fell over me, and I looked up. The titanic thing loomed over the sea, opening its maw. A torrent of flames rolled out, engulfing the swimming pirates. The flames seemed to cling to the water, still burning on its surface like flaming oil or Greek Fire. The sea was tinged in red and orange and gold as the pirates screamed and died, and I could see the ember-like glow of men who had gone under the waves but were still burning.
It was then that I was dragged away by the sea again, turning lazily, pulled farther from the lurid glow of burning men and into the water lit by the silvery moon. And I heard something.

It was a deep thumping sound. Rhythmic, stead, a booming sound that I could feel as much as hear. Something that grew louder and louder and louder. The water beneath me swirled and swelled and I was suddenly pushed away from a great bulge in the ocean’s surface. Titanic amounts of water shifted away from some incomprehensible mass beneath the water pushing me farther and farther from whatever was rising there, threatening to drag me under. I desperately tried to swim away from whatever it was.
Finally, a huge dark shape breached the surface, a green so dark it looked black in the light of the moon and flames. The steady beat of that sound became deafening, maddening, and I finally recognized it. It was the sound of a clock. The ticking away of the seconds, measured by a clock as vast as Big Ben. An orb opened in the side of the thing, a great amber sphere that glowed with an inner light, split by a chasm of blackness. A monstrous reptilian eye.

The thing in front of me was, somehow, the Crocodile from Peter Pan. Some massive, saurian incarnation of time and mortality. The monstrous thing twisted in the waves, turning and clamped its massive jaws on the burning pirate ship, snapping the galleon in half like a twig. Planks of wood, ropes as thick as a man’s thigh, tatters of cloth sail and burning debris were blasted out from that massive, crushing blow.

As the ship sank, the titanic, black, ticking monster diving with it, the sea suddenly lit up. The ship exploded, whether through the power of the dragon’s fire, the Crocodile, or perhaps the powder room exploded somehow, I don’t know. I can’t even begin to rationalize it, but I caught a glimpse of the massive black shape of the Crocodile beneath the water, just part of it, already large enough to be an island in-and-of-itself. The air shook with the force of the blast, and the deep, shaking thud of the clock, now receding into the depths.

I clung to a wooden spar that had been flung by the Crocodile’s bite, as the huge shape moved towards me, the deep ticking shaking me to the core, and suddenly I found myself dragged towards the looming cliffs.

I realized that the force that had been dragging me along before, and then, was the current of the Crocodile’s movement, even so deep beneath the water. I was afraid the thing would smash me against the rocks without ever realizing I was even there. The black cliffs threatened, and yet suddenly I was caught in a faster current, the ticking receding rapidly. I was being dragged into a space that I hadn’t seen before in the darkness, a great chasm between two towering stone cliffs, like walls in the sea. The current threatened to drag me and my makeshift float under with its sudden speed and force. I clung desperately to the planks, trying to stay above the surface, until, faster than I would have imagined, I was through, and floating in calm waters. I could see a forested island nearby now, not the mangrove island from before, but a new one. It had been hidden from sight by the strange barrier cliffs until I had passed through them.

Already, the currents drew me towards that island, and so, fearing even more monsters from the sea, I swam for it. Aided by the currents and my float, I reached the island faster than I would have thought possible, utterly exhausted. I washed up on a pebbly shore alongside fragments of wood and other debris that had been carried there by the ships destruction and the currents.

I lay there, half in and half out of the water, trying to absorb what had happened. I had already assumed that this was a dream, but it was a damned vivid one. Normally I didn’t dream with this degree of clarity, so I was getting a bit weirded-out by it.

I finally got up and headed towards the island’s center, not really knowing what else to do. I reached into my sodden pocket and pulled out the small folding knife that I normally keep there, not knowing what other strangeness I might encounter. I walked across the smooth stones, and then climbed through sharper outcroppings, but I could see dense trees nearby, so I figured I would soon be out of the band of rock.

Sure enough, the small band of boulders and low cliffs dropped away, and I found myself on a low, sodden plain. I could see further to my left, the cliffs curved around into tiny peninsula, and that the sea came right up to a rocky shore nearby. The seawater seemed to seep into the ground here, and yet short grasses grew in the soil. The earth squelched under my boots, it was so saturated, and the air was filled with the smell of salt, the sea, fish, and a strange musky scent. Fog seemed to be rolling in from the sea, giving me a foreboding sensation. There was something ominous about it. Not that I really had anything good to say about the sea and things that came from it at that point.

As I looked around, I noticed a wooden walkway of weathered gray boards and posts, raised about the sodden earth and traveling all the way to the sea like a pier. I decided that I would follow that, and see if it led me to people. It seemed rickety, so I didn’t want to climb up the supports onto it, but I walked along beside and beneath it, looking up and around. The moonlight gave the slowly growing fog a silvery shine. Mist slowly began to rise from the wet soil as I walked along in near silence. Only the sounds of frogs croaking could be heard in the distance, though they became silent as I drew near. That, and the sucking sound of my boots as I stepped on the sodden ground.

The wooden walkway led on for what seemed like a long time, but eventually I could see what looked like a stockade made of logs with some kind of raised wooden platform surrounding it. Braziers burned beside a pair of massive but worn looking wooden doors. The gateway was sealed shut. I could tell that from even that distance. The logs seemed to be driven into the soft earth directly, and they weren’t all standing even. They seemed to mark the border between the flood plain and the forest, or maybe some kind of village in the forest. The wall continued as for what seemed like a mile in either direction before disappearing into the dark woods. Even though it seemed to be some kind of fortification, it didn’t look well-made at all, and I didn’t see any guards. Though I could see wooden steps leading up to wooden platform from the sides. The whole thing, pier, platform, gate, it was all about five feet above my head.

The fog from the sea continued to move inland, and the mist continued to rise about my feet, and I was getting a bad feeling about the whole thing, but I resolved to check it out anyway. Just then, though, I heard another squelching sound, like what my steps had made, and I slid behind one of the supports to the walkway.

As I looked towards where I’d heard the sound, beneath the raised platform, I began to make out dark shapes there. Strange lumps that might have been people. The odd musky smell from before grew stronger and stronger, and I felt an instinctive sense of danger. I heard a faint thumping sound, like the ticking of a pocket watch, and thought of the Crocodile from earlier in the dream. I could feel the hair rising on the back of my neck, and I silently appreciated whatever set of qualities has allowed me to naturally evade perception by people over the years.

The shapes beneath the platform were moving, lurching in a way that could not be described as human movement. The bobbed along beneath the walkway, and then moved out further, into the moonlight and the faint flicker of the braziers above. They were most definitely not human.

They were a little over four feet tall, though they would have stood higher if they weren’t slouched over. Their bobbing gait came from their odd legs, long and muscular with impossibly long webbed toes and broad feet. Their skin was pebbly, gray-green in color, with great, hulling eyes that bulged at the top of their triangular heads, eyes covered in dark membranes. Their arms were short and thick, and they wore strange armor made of many different kinds of glossy plates. The armor itself was irregular, piecemeal, only partially covering their bodies. Even so, I couldn’t tell if they were male or female. They made me think of nothing so much as frog people, though in hindsight they were more like toads. The carried crude spears and knives in those stubby arms, and though they looked almost comical, there was something fundamentally disturbing about them. Nevermind that they were armed.

Suddenly, in the distance, I heard what sounded like a human scream, and most of the creatures rushed off in the direction of the sound, deeper into the wet plain I had come from. Their long, jumping strides allowed them to quickly vanish into the darkness. I stayed hidden using the support beams of the walkway, but the creatures that had remained behind seemed to be more alert, and were patrolling along the length of the walkway and beneath the platform. There were four of them left, and would almost certainly find me if I remained where I was.

In other words, if I ran, they’d see me, and if I stayed, they’d find me eventually too. They were much faster than I was at running, too, just by looking at the distance they covered when the other ones took off. I resolved that I would have to fight them, trusting my instincts and the way things had been going so far that they were most certainly not my friends.

I turned around the support and waited until one of the single patrolling creatures walked nearby, then lashed out with my small knife for the place where its head joined its body. I can’t really call it a neck. However, I couldn’t tell until then that it had some sort of armor plate there, and my knife skidded along the protector rather than biting into it.

The movement shoved the creature off-balance though, those long, frog-like legs tripping over each other and tangling as my body collided with the thing. The creature was soft, like an amphibian, though I only actually touched it through my clothes. When I slammed into it, its stumble brought it up against the support pillar on the opposite side of the walkway. It seemed like it was stunned from the impact, but it was still trying to raise its spear. I lashed out with my knife again, this time aiming for one of its eyes. It turned though, and I missed. The knife, though, went into the space between the two bulging eyes and buried up to the grip. It seemed like their whole bodies were soft, even where they should have had bones.
The thing slumped down, dead.

I yanked my knife free and got ready to attack the next one, but they seemed to have not noticed the commotion. For whatever reason, the creature I’d attacked hadn’t made a sound. Even the dull thud from where it’d struck the wooden pillar hadn’t drawn their attention. For some reason, though, I could still hear that ticking sound. I was starting to worry a bit. Normally, I’d have woken up long before reaching a point like this, a fact I was accutely aware of in the dream.

I looked at the thing I’d killed up close. It was, for all intents and purposes, a giant, bipedal toad. I wondered if it was poisonous, like a toad. It had stubby, muscular arms and long, muscular legs made for jumping, and it had walked and waddled strangely. Its body was thick and squat, and its shoulders were broad. Its head was joined almost directly with its shoulders. It had bands of some kind of black metal armor around parts of its body, but they didn’t work very well as armor. What little other clothing it wore were mostly hides, beads, feathers, and some kind of leather that made me think of human skin. It was almost naked though. The spear it had carried was a crude thing made of a more or less straight stick and a stone head tied into a deep notching cut into the wood. The knife it had looked like it might have been carved from some kind of bone or fang, but it was a lot bigger than my little folder.

The spear looked like it’d break if used much, but the knife seemed pretty sturdy. I wasn’t about to pass up either though. I took the crude belt the knife was hanging on and draped it around one shoulder, and picked up the spear. The weight on the thing was horrible, but it was better than nothing. There was no way I was going to be doing much thrusting with it, though.

Folder in one hand, and spear in the other, I made my way, crouching and a quietly as possible, towards the next closest frog creature, always trying to keep the wooden pylons between me and it, and the spear low, to help keep it in the mist rising from the ground.

Unfortunately, the second creature noticed the slumped form of its companion and rushed towards it with a loud, bellowing croak. I immediately gave up on the thing, letting it rush past my hiding place as the other two creatures began to move towards it.
One of them was lagging though.

I stayed low, and, as it drew past my hiding place, lashed up and forward with the spear from behind a pylon. The crude weapon drove in under the thing’s chin and dropped it in a single blow. I abandoned the weapon as soon as I struck and turned, keeping to the shadows of the pylons as I crept away as fast as I could. The sound of the creature falling was enough to alert its companions.

I was cursing the squishy ground for the sounds it made as I moved, but they were making a lot more noise than I was, and didn’t seem to hear me.
I stayed low in the rising mist and drew the heavier knife, switching the little folding blade to my left hand. The big, brownish white blade reminded me of a bowie knife. It was almost more of a short sword. In hindsight, considering the size of the creatures, it might have been a short sword. I wondered just what kind of creature they had made it from.

I rolled the heavy thing into a reversed grip and pressed against a pylon, hidden by its shadow. I waited for the creatures to find me, or to walk past, that ominous ticking still in my ears. The sound was making me angrier and angrier over time. This dream had gone well into the realm of the absurd.

Finally, the creatures walked past, this time staying close to each other, looking to and fro for whatever had killed their companions. Spears swept side to side, and the frog-men glanced turned around many times. I realized that they couldn’t look over their shoulders with that body structure, which was a major advantage. They had to at least turn sideways to look behind them. As the second one stepped past, I turned, using the movement to drive the heavy blade into the back of the first creature’s head while driving the small blade forward, into the face of the second as it turned. The stainless steel folder bit into the space between the creatures’ eyes, the soft skulls of the strange things giving easily under both blades.

I heaved a sigh of relief at having finished that grisly work, and tried to wipe the blades off as best I could on the creatures’ garments. I picked up the remaining spears, short, javelin-like things that they were, another knife belt, and took off. If these things were guarding that door, then odds were, whatever was on the other side would be worse for me. Like their village or something.

I followed the tree line, just in case I needed to hide from pursuit. The sturdy roots helped cover the sound of my steps, keeping my boots off the sodden dirt. I was heading further inland, I thought, but eventually I came to a small river that let out into the sea, the mist and fog clouds drifting across the water and between the trees like smoke. I could still hear the croaking of frogs, but now that sound seemed far more ominous than ever before.

At this point, I thoroughly felt that this dream had stepped into D&D territory. I was tired, my legs hurt, and my nerves were raw. It didn’t help at all that the moonlight and fog were distorting my shadow into something monstrous. It made me think of a dinosaur. At least that ticking sound had stopped, though. That had ended when I’d moved a good distance from that gateway.

I decided that, at this point, I had a few options. I could head into the woods, which didn’t seem like a good idea. I could follow the river, or I could try to cross it and carry on. The pebbly shore was pressing closer to the forest now, which made me think that the going might be easier around the outside of the wood further on.

I didn’t trust the woods at all. After all, if my guess was right, that was where the frog-things lived. Following the river would take me into the wood as well. So I opted to follow the tree line and shore. The river was shallow and sluggish, though it was at least high enough to overreach the tops of my boots again. Waterproof wasn’t doing me a lot of good in this dream.

I followed the curve of the shore and the woods, the moonlight and fog, the sound of the sea and the shifting breeze, the rustling of tree leaves playing tricks on my. My shadow seemed to warp and distort into a strange shape as the soft earth and the hard stones rolled by. For some reason I was able to walk and run for so long and so quickly at this point in the dream, even though I’d been so tired before. This was probably the most “dream-like” it had felt the whole time, which is just strange considering what had come before it.

I crossed many small streams and rivers like the first, the ground that the forest stood on slowly rising into a high bank, with larger stones and boulders appearing on top of the pebbles and rocks that made up the beach, jutting like fangs from stone gums. Eventually, I came across a cave in the raised bank, like a tunnel carved into the earth. Roots dug into the walls from the trees above. At this point, I was feeling tired again, so I decided to rest there for the night, hoping that the frog-creatures wouldn’t find me. Or something worse.

Apparently, I somehow slept in the dream, passing out as soon as I sat down against the cave wall.
When I woke up in the dream, the sunlight was peeking into the cave. I headed out, filthy, having slept in my wet clothes, and sore all over.

There was a young woman on the beach in simple clothes who seemed to be trying to fish with a net from the shore. She turned to look at me, and spoke to me in a strange language I couldn’t understand with a look of apprehension on her face.

But then suddenly she pointed behind me and screamed, dropped her net, and ran.

I turned around to look, thinking the frog creatures had found me, but there was nothing there.

And then I saw my shadow, which was huge and distorted even in the light of day. It looked like some kind of gigantic dinosaur-thing, with that strange ticking sound in my ears.

And then I really woke up.

And I immediately at down and wrote this thing in Word because it was such a freaky dream. Looking back on it, I think it’s funny that I never felt hungry or thirsty through the whole damn thing. Tired, sore, sure. Hungry? Thirsty? Nope. Nor did I feel the need to relieve myself.

On a side note, this was posted to a degree because IRUN said he'd read it.

Hey, you posted it. Awesome.

Damn, now I wish there was more of it to read. I was getting some serious low-fantasy frontier-scenario RP vibes from it.

Reminds me of this one time where I dreamed I was in some sort of cluttered, busy, technologically advanced steampunk-themed city and running through it parkour-style like the dickens from what I can only assume were either the local law enforcers or some sort of organized crime gang. I know for a fact that I stole something valuable from them.

Heh.
Sounds nice.
Anyway, that's the madness you asked for. See why I considered turning it into a short story? Also, the frog-thingies have a really strong resemblance to a Pathfinder monster called a Boggard. Which is strange, since I hadn't looked at that monster for anything in, like, a year.

Also, jazzy big band music a la Baccano! which was more appropriate for the roaring twenties was playing over the city's megaphones, so it was a really high-energy dream.

Nice! Hmmm. I wonder if you couldn't make a plot around that as well...
Major theft in a steampunk setting by an amateur... Maybe some kind of reality hopper?

I probably could scare together some sort of plot if I really wanted to, actually.

Thanks for being such a wellspring of inspiration, man.

Hey, no big deal. It'd probably be a good plot, if you consider it.
There's lots of ways to play around with Victorian Era themes, what with the interest in the Orient, Jack the Ripper, and the love of the paranormal and psychic the era had.
Hell, it'd even have that Liarsoft flavor, since steampunk. It has come full circle.

Hm...

I've recently can not remember dreaming at all. It's like I go to sleep, but I don't dream. I close my eyes, then I open them and discover that I fell asleep. But not one dream.

In fact, the last dream had something do with bears and shotguns. I think the bears went human hunting and for some reason I was the human in charge of all of them and laughing the whole entire time. Is that normal?

Ugh. I've been dreaming a variation of a dream twice. It involves me trying to get out of a dark, scary and dangerous place. And when I do, the outside world seems to be worse than the dungeon. Only, the sun shines.

Maybe. It's the people who spook me out in the outside. Their attitude or modus.

I had a nightmare a little while ago, in which I walked into a small, traditional Chinese restaurant and realized I DIDN'T SPEAK CHINESE. And I also realized that I lacked a debit card, so I walked out of there very awkwardly and with lots of attention drawn to me.

Last night I had a strange dream in which the U.S. Gov. had passed a legal decision delegating Media Control Reform to a council of ten representatives for major interest groups. Yes, it's for some reason a legal dream, wtf. They were going to televise the conference held by the Council, and it was going to cover things like Copyright and Distribution Laws, legal actions regarding the internet and both privacy and piracy issues, the final ruling on the dissolution of Public Domain, and censorship and control of the media in regards to things considered "innappropriate or disruptive material" in movies, on the internet, television, and video games. Basically, all of the issues that have been popping over the past year that have been pissing me off.

It was a really big deal, since part of what was going to be decided was how to deal with Copyright Infringers both nationally and internationally who had illegally downloaded things from Megaupload. I was at school for some reason, not college or anything, but high school, and we were going to watch the conference in Gov. Class. The teacher is some guy I don't know, and he's explaining what's going on.

"So, basically, these guys are going to determine who controls the internet, and stuff?" One of the other students says. "And they're going to decide what's allowed to be shown in movies and videos and porn?"
"Yeah, so you won't get to watch dude's fuck cows anymore!" Laughter fills the room as somebody else makes fun of the randome NPC. I'm like "But isn't the whole point of this to ass-rape the cattle? They'll probably keep Farm Porn out of principle!" Nobody laughs cause it's disturbing.

As the main conference starts, the delegates file in. Or four of them do, anyway, and they sit at this little round table behind nameplates for them. The camera zooms in on their names, which have letters beside them: D for Democrat, R for Republican. But the six that don't show have A beside their names. So I'm like, "Who's A?"

Nobody knows.

Then the absentee's finally show up after like, ten minutes. The reporter yells "What the hell!?" as they take their seats, and the other delegates look at them all in shock and disgust. The new arrivals all look at each other and nod, leaning across the table with the Gendo pose.

They're all wearing Guy Fawkes masks...

Someone in the back of the class is like "No way! Epic Fail Guy!?!"

In unison, everyone in class is like "Anonymous!"

And then I woke up thinking, wtf did I just dream?

Not exactly my dream, but my best friend -- almost like a sister, really-- said she dreamed that I finally transferred to her school and the first thing we do is buying a 150 cm ruler in the school supply shop.

Folklore dream! I dreamt this girl from my school announcing that there was gonna be a Folklore 2, but she said it was gonna be in China. It was odd because Folklore was developed by a Japanese developer.

Also dreamt of the people (the Halflives) in the Bridge House Pub in Doolin, and for some reason or another, Bargest was a resident there. O.O

I can remember vividly what I dreamed about last night!

I was playing a video game, and a friend watched me. I was playing the last dungeon in Tales Of Phantasia. In this dream, I was playing, and talking to the friend, yet you never saw us. All I saw in the dream was the video (so to speak), and voiceover by me and my friend. It was like a Let's Play video. Anyways, I don't remember every detail, but there is a conversation I can recall. Not word for word, but close enough. (And remember, I'm playing the last dungeon and powning high level monsters throughout everything)

[partner] Remind me again who was your favorite character?

[me] Arche.

[partner] What for?

[me] Well for one thing, she's the most powerful spellcaster. See, she just wiped out that entire party of creeps with just one spell. Also, she's the only character who can melee attack flying monsters, since she can fly. Lastly, (in squeaky voice of affection) BECAUSE SHE'S REALLY REALLY REALLY CUTE!

[partner] Even though her hair is pink?

[me] (still speaking in a squeaky voice of affection) Especially because her hair is a wonderful shade of pink! Kawaii-kawaii-kawaii-kawaii-kawaii-kawaii!

And for bonus points? This wasn't the first time I gushed about Arche's cuteness in a dream.

Madness coming, brace yourself. It was my dream just now.

So, it's night, about 11pm-1am. I'm at my rented flat with my roommate and I want to eat. I asked him if there are any sausages left, but he ate the last one and there's no bread even. So I oughta go to the shop outside.

Which I do. I go buy a pack of chips and sausages. I don't know where I put sausages but I have the pack of chips in my hands.

I turn back from the shop, but I can't see my building. I'm new to that area so I think I'm just lost. I walk through dark yards searching for it, fumbling and falling from time to time. Then I notice I don't have the pack of chips in my hands anymore.

I check around me with my hands and I find one pack. But it's empty. I hear some kids call out to me. They say, "You're a demon!". That is, because I have horns. I know I do and I'm totally fine with that, so I reply like, "I know, so what?".

An older woman goes out of the building. She calls kids back and talks to me about something I don't really remember, but I somehow briefly explain my situation to her. She switches on lights (of night?). It becomes faintly lighter around and I find my pack of chips afterwards.

But that's not the only thing I find. I look at the building next to me. One part of the wall is crumbled and I see legs sticking out from under one of the fallen rocks. I shout to the woman that there's a body here, so we come and try moving the rock away. We decide that he's been digging into the wall and it collapsed on him. We give up moving the rock and call an ambulance.

After that, the woman brings my attention to another wall. It has a place where it should be easy to dig (Supposedly.), and if I dig through there I would probably get home. She cleans away the dust from it, and we both start digging until we face a thin layer of bricks, which I start hitting and eventually break through.

What I see next is a big corridor, with a big gryphon image on the wall. I recognize this place from my other nightmare, so I get out from the hole at once, when I hear footsteps. I know that we (me and that woman) barged into a building by breaking a wall, so we're gonna be caught as burglars. We hide next to that wall and I'm watching the window above.

And wake up.

Whenever I dream, which isn't often, mind you, they always feel like the trailer for a blockbuster movie or high-budget video game.

Okay, so get this.

The location is a clearly massive, widespread futuristic city. The visuals are like some stylized hybrid of live-action and the finest CGI available with technology and it looks just brilliantly stunning. The characters that showed were all unnamed but the vibes they gave told me that they clearly enjoyed whatever sort of lives they were living in this ricockuluous metropolis. Obviously they were like bounty hunters or law enforcement or mafia or whatever, which is normally a dangerous and violent lifestyle, but it honestly felt like it was all a part of a cyberpunk heavily inspired by the themes and feeling of Cowboy Bebop/Durarara!! setting.

Not saying that there wasn't any form of darkness whatsoever, since there was one character who served as an assassin/enforcer/silencer who killed a group of rebel mudlark kids - yes, it was incredibly one-sided - but it still felt peppy and stylish. Same character also had an unorthodox AI installed in her that forced her to feel emotions whenever she sealed them away to do her job. Think of it as an anti-grimdark chip that coerces her into keeping in touch with her humanity.

I had Dangan Ronpa, Bakemonogatari and Adventure Time dreams in a row, one right after the other. And they happened the exact way you'd imagine their relevant scenarios would go, with DR being pop-awesome and very spoilery, Bakemono being all stylistic flair, fanservice, and oni battles, and Adventure Time guest starring the flying car from Heavy Metal.

Best night's sleep I've ever had in a while, if I do say so myself.

Also, there was some business going on with me buying a A Song of Ice and Fire book boxed set, which also happened to include the new (IE unreleased) sequel. Something something of the Dhampire something about some count of the north. Seemed like it could have been shit, but the book looked so nice and pretty with its intricate runes on the hardcover jacket and its midnight purple color scheme and the fact that it was a George R. R. Martin book would mean it could serve as decent shelf-candy.

I remember my worst nightmare was like that:

I woke up, and I knew that my dad died. Everything was absolutely normal, indistinguishable from normal waking up, except that the fact that my dad was died stuck in my head.

I (really) woke up soon after in cold sweat and sighed with relief that what was before was a dream.

I remember this one time where I dreamt that I was getting sucked into some black hole in space with some of my favorite cartoon characters and we were THIS close to finding out the secret of the universe... Then my mother woke me up for school...

This one other time I dreamt about this girl I didn't like back in Pre-K kissed me and I think I threw up some red stuff... Yeah.

Oh yeah, and usually when I have a nightmare I'm the first one to die in most cases for doing something stupid like leaving the group or touch floating knives in the air

Just had the most awesome dream ever. It was about these kids who wander into a dreamland ruled by a mad king. They meet a guy who calls himself jester on the way in who leads them on adventures. They started out traveling in standard little kid show environments places like A beautiful forest with golden butterflies, A giant playground, and a never ending train ride. All the while meeting Mr. Jester in the most random spots and each time they met he would give advice on the area while playing games with them.

Then the dream went on and a little more into this magical dream realm the scenery started getting twisted. Subtle things at first the sky got a little darker, The environment started taking on a more metallic tone. Mr. Jester started acting a little more malevolent. Next thing I know I feel like I"m have a dream about Silent Hill crossovering with FEAR. Can't remember much more then that Jester was there by orders of the king to manipulate them for entertainment.

But he was using them as a way to dispose of the king and take his position. One of the kids burning his arms flesh off with a blow torch after a battle in room with no lights ended up with a parasite in his arm. A bunch of crazy dudes wearing yellow robes dumping corpses into pools of water to get them nice and bloated for "Revival surgery" which basically entailed them doing random shit like sewing the bodies or pieces of them together, Cutting out the eyes then proclaiming them cured and also my doing stuff like Filling the insides with glass and plastic. They also spent half the dream running away from a guy named Mr. Clock. A one eyed pale gentleman wearing stereotypical 1880 top hat attire and moved with a really jerkish movement sort of like a puppet pulled too quickly on its strings. Every time he would get closer they would hear under his outfit the sound of a clock ticking. Can't remember what happened to him though.

I think the kids eventually killed the king after most went insane which lead to jester telling them thanks and kicking them out. Where they proceeded to have doubts on the nature of reality and enough PTSD to nuke a nation. If I remember right they live their lives afterwards not believing this is the true reality and right before I woke up I think Jester showed up in the background while one of them was wandering Detroit as a traveling musician. Which could be taken as evidence that they never left at all and so still are trapped in the world of dreams for all time.

Haven't had a dream this entertaining in ages.

I had a dream last night about The Gotei 13 (Bleach) invading Mid-Childa (Nanoha) because they took whatever it was Mayuri has been working on recently. Then, out of nowhere, Zero (Code Geass) appears in the air standing on the Shinkiro's hand and accompanied by Britannian and Black Knights forces and flanked by a rebuilt Lancelot Albion and Guren SEITEN. He eventually takes his helmet to rebel that he, Lelouch vi Britannia was the real Zero all along and has come back from his "death" to lead a war against the TSAB.

Eventually, a portal opens and a huge ass airship comes out, with Shirou (F/SN) claiming this is their battle, all servants we've seen thus far, most maguses we've seen thus far and even Arcueid, Shiki, Ciel and Touko appear behind him. He is dressed in a white version of EMIYA's coat and then takes the Thompson Contender off (all to the F/Z theme of "Battle Is To The Strong") before he declares the "The Holy Grail Crusade" started and shoots the contender to the sky.
