Post things here that have made you sad recently.

I'll start with this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/americas/canada-opposition-leader-jack-layton-dies-after-second-cancer-battle/2011/08/22/gIQAzovAWJ_story.html

Jack Layton, leader of the NDP in Canada died today. It's a terrible blow to Canadian politics now that we don't have a real charismatic opposition to Stephen Harper.

And also Rei, Black Rei, Rei clones, Souther, Raoh, Jesus, Shu, Fudoh, Falco, Kaioh, Hyoh, Shachi AKA Rei clone#231, and America from Hokuto no Ken.

I weep tears for them.

I didn't mean that story can't possibly happen. It's just... I think it was an anonymous troll or something.

Sometimes it is.
Sometimes it isn't.

What makes me sad is humanity.
My faith in it has gone past rock bottom.

My faith in it has gone past rock bottom.

Eh, mine fluctuates.

But it fluctuates at very low levels.

What makes me sad is humanity.
My faith in it has gone past rock bottom.

This. And every time I'm convinced that it can't fall even further, humanity finds a way to surprise me.

Meh. Good things happen to bad people, bad things to good people.
As long as there is the reverse, I can't lose my faith in humanity, because I'd lose faith in the people who do those good things.

Losing faith in humanity while sitting in a warm house full of technological advancements, taking advantage of social developments and writing on something that could decide a war 50 years ago is kinda funny.

But see, the problem is people in the modern times tend to be self-absorbed, it's because all of the problems we had 50 years ago used to be merely a part of life for human civilization. As for now, nobody wants to fight in a war anymore for the same reasons we have 50 years ago.

Yes, what I'm saying is people lose faith in humanity easily because all of our problems in the past are gone.

This scene always makes me want to cry.

Which also makes me hope for the VN production to get the green light.

Yeah, people tend to go "I'M LOSING MY FAITH IN HUMANITY~" every time anyone does something stupid.

Because if someone does something to piss you off, clearly all of humanity is to blame.

Yes, and the Ethiopian famine, nuclear arms race, fate of the Karen people and murder of some Buddhist monks will surely ruin someone's day.

The same thing with the London riots, the Columbine and V-Tech shooting, Apartheid, Christian Straight camps, the corruption in my country and the Great Firewall of China.

And you blame humanity in general? ( _ゝ`)フーン

Not exactly blame humanity in general, but the indifference of humanity in general. However, it is worth nothing that indifference to other's suffering has become some sort of unspoken rule in society, so could you really blame humanity in general when the point is, they create their own norms that they themselves can't even disestablish?

No, not really. But just try giving hope, just a bit. You are either a spectacle to admired and nothing else or people question your motives behind the action.

Either way, they think of you to be different from the rest.

Know what makes me sad?

Pianos kept only for ornamental purposes, always kept under cover of a dust tarp, never to be touched or heard again.

I don't know why, but it just affects me something profound.

I request you listen to this as you hear my painful tale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLOZ-lsfmIA

Life has been so hard...I find myself gazing into the bottom of an empty glass. No matter my struggles or efforts, my victories, or my accomplishments...

I still, am in-capable of being able to magically form soda to fill it so that I may never again have to haul my lazy butt off the couch to refill it from the fridge <_<...

*bows* And that, is my sad tale.
