Yeeaah, we only need Jeanne, Mordred, Kairi and Amakusa as main characters
I'd say that at around this point in the novel people didn't exactly know what to make of or expect from Sieg either beside his sudden and prominent introduction from a plot thread into the main cast.
Pretty much. Like, when he first showed up in the LN my reaction was "did someone accidentally slip some pages of a Self-Insert Fanfic into the story?"
And then he turned into an obnoxiously bland Plot Tumour that was central to everything (and proving my first instincts were correct).

I mran if we were to strip Apo down to a cast worth a damn based off of characters with potential/actual character arcs. You could probably make a decent regular grail war out of it
Probably be
Mordred
Achilles
Vlad
Chiron
Semiramis
Astolfo
Kairi
Shirou
Caules
Gordes
Darnic
Funny that the story with the guy a lot of source readers see as Fate's Kirito is adapted by A1
Kirito is a much better character than Sieg
Those who wanted Kubo of Bleach fame, Nisio Isin of Monogatari fame or Narita Ryohgo to adapt Apocrypha say Aye.
Large cast of characters should be managed by those who had an actual experience of managing it.
So far, from what I saw in Apocrypha, they put emphasis on Astolfo, Mordred and Jack (on Servants) and Fiore, Caules, Reika and Kairi (on Masters) so far.
Other characters are really, really left behind with only one or two character descriptions.
Well, Jeanne's might count, but only in the novel and manga. -.-
Bleach was garbage tho
Kubo's an absolute hack. Narita is already doing Strange Fake, so you might be interested in that. Now, Nisio Fate? That sounds like an interesting idea
To give you an idea of how much of a hack Kubo is: rather than suddenly getting powerups, Sieg would be revealed as a special snowflake with powers from all classes from the start. Of course, each of his powers would be revealed as an asspull whenever Sieg is in trouble
There's subs out on nyaa.si, btw. Some mistakes in their English here and there, some translations that seem fishy and the uploader's description is drenched in /fgog/ memes, but all in all they're serviceable.
Well to be fair, in explaining Ichigo's powers, it boiled down to "He has 2 Zanpakuto spirits, of which one Zanpakutou spirit is a faker and of Quincy origin and his other Zanpakuto spirit is a 'true' Zanpakuto spirit of 'fake' Hollow origin"
Fullbring is just also another imitation of Hollow powers, just modified in a way that would be classified as a "new" power.
Wait, Ichigo's a faker. That made sense to me just now. Hahaha.
Cool episode. My worry is that the payoff won't be as good as the build-up.
The Gardens look great tho.
Huh, I guess I'll see how.
I mean I somehow like Shirou even though he is probably the blandest character ever written in TM I probably won't hate Sieg like everyone seems to do. Sieg's really reminding me a lot of Shirou's origin right now, rescued by someone by giving them an important artifact, taking half of his name, and some form of desire to save others(the other homunculi)
I guess maybe because he's much like Shirou is the reason he's not well liked?
