Really, most people seem to understand (after a while) the idea behind the announcement. Is there anything someone still wants clearing up?
An 18-page discussion, just to say that we should avoid being dicks, that we should choose better words when expressing ourselves, because there are people who can misinterpret its meaning, or don't like its use due personal reasons/RL problems.
I can relate to Lyco and the other guy protesting over the use of the word autism: My brother is still fighting his cancer (although it's ending), and when someone says "nanana gave me cancer", i really feel bad.
But i always thought that this thing about choosing better our words, was part of what we can call respect or education (or if you have another word or expression, insert it here).
Honestly I was chatting about this a little while ago, if asking people to phrase things a little better is the judge dredd moment of tyranny and oppression, we gotta be doing something right.
I'm just saying, you're all going to be in death camps by the end of the month and you have only yourselves to blame for letting it happen.
