I think you shouldn't grill the vocabulary too hard.
Nasu hasn't gone so far as to classify wound type and fatality type (yet).
And you don't need to feel obligated to prove to me that Lancer's BC is better or worse. When I said Berserker's "BC" is "better" several pages back, I already said it was my own opinion. I posted that to just deliver to you a portion of CM3 that Arai did not have time to cover.
Nasu didn't say which is better or worse. He just said they are different.
Hi everyone,
When I heard that Beast Lair had a new forum, I ran to join in as fast as I could. Really, I've missed this.
About my question, it is not much about the Nasuverse but rather about the Beast Lair itself. I was just wondering if there is anyway to transfer the posts of the old forum to the new one. I mean, we had quite a lot of material stored over there and it would be a shame to lose it.
It was archived, I believe.
I think it's basically this:
Having half your torso obliterated would normally mean death, even for a Servant (though they won't die immediately). This is the kind of wound BC gets around. Having your heart/head blown away is something that is a "clearly fatal wound", the kind that is needed to kill someone with BC.
Right, as opposed to bleeding out or just being hit repeatedly in non-vital areas.
Question(spoiler for the Far Side Routes on Tsukihime):
1.) Did Akiha know about Kohaku's plan from the start? I think I remember a line about it near the very end of Kohaku's route, on the battle with Crazed Akiha,I think?
2) I remember Kohaku dying a bit before the battle, why didn't she stay dead again?
As you can see, my Tsukihime knowledge has weakened over the time. :/
<Spinach> Yes Verg
<Spinach> I need this
<Spinach> Yessss
<Satehi> don't do it malgos
<Satehi> don't
<Satehi> yamete
<@RacingeR> Laputa would only fit if it was Kratos
Akiha knew about Kohaku's plan in Kohaku's route, not in the others, I think.
Kohaku wasn't dead before the battle, just unconscious.

My question (F/SN spoilers):
Hypothetically assuming that he had the requisite skills and whatnot, would it have been at all possible for Shirou to summon a Servant besides Saber?
Does Avalon being inside his body lock him into summoning her, even if he was hypothetically carrying out the ritual properly with a different Servant's artifact?
I would assume the only other Servant Shirou might be able to summon is himself. In practice, it doesn't seem that the actual person themself can be used as a catalyst, so no, I think Shirou's stuck with Saber no matter what. The only way he could change it is if someone managed to yoink Avalon out of him. And since that thing is somehow linked to his soul and is manipulating his Origin, that would probably have some kind of ramifications that weren't mentioned in the VN.
The Origin is mostly explained in Kara no Kyoukai. Basically, it's similar to (or maybe just plain is) the Monad of Buddhism. Basically, it's the core of a soul, what remains unchanged through the process of reincarnation. It is an idea, impulse, purpose, or whatever that is derived directly from the Akasha. A person's Origin has a strong effect on their life's direction. They will gravitate towards circumstances or make choices that reflect their Origin subconsciously. So long as they are not aware of their Origin, though, it's still fairly easy to deviate from it. People who are aware of it have more trouble doing so.
Shirou's Origin began the process of changing when his old self "died" in the Great Fuyuki Fire, and his magical Element with it. His Element is now Sword, and his Origin is changing towards the same Concept. How that works has never been explained, but it's as if Shirou is literally becoming a different soul because Avalon is implanted in his body.
Other way around. His Origin is sword (no indication as to whether he had a different one earlier, Nasu just said that it's sword), and CM3 says Avalon changed his alignment to it as well.
The whole "shirou's origin died in the fire" is fanon i believe. Doesn't nessarily mean it isn't true, but I wouldn't hold the thought to tightly.
Sunlight + Zouken = ???
Basically, what happens to Zouken if he goes out during the day?
He gets a tan?
*sudden urge to photoshop zouken with shades and a surfboard*

Well, he states that he can't go out in the day any more, but it's not clear what exactly would happen if he did. Most likely, it would burn up his body and cause him significant damage, but I very much doubt that it could outright kill him, because he has worms lying around all over the place (not least, inside Sakura).
