Archer I always thought rebellious girl in a mans army, Lancer I though nobleman who fights for fun, for berserker I thought either mad scientist or unfortunate lad.

So what up with the Avenger card huh? Only one Servant in that class and he looks nothing like it.
Araya, what do you seek?
「アラヤ、何を求める」
------True wisdom.「――――真の叡智を」
Araya, where do you seek it?「アラヤ、何処に求める」
Only within myself.「――――ただ、己が内にのみ」
Araya, what is your favorite color?「アラヤ、好きな色は?」
Blue. No, ora-- Auuuuuuuugh!「青、いや、オレンジイイイイイアアアっ!」
Here check out this thing I made representing them. (It's my steam Avi.)
Not sure what you mean?
He means who you would say Archer and Lancer are.
Like, the people.

The Berserker card is pretty clearly supposed to be a psuedo-historical berserker; they wore bear skins into battle, believing it gave them the ferocity and power of bears, and it's got a bear head.
Oh I see okay let me think. The Lancer looks like a french nobleman one who likely took place in Jeanne's time maybe someone like Bluebeard. (Before he went all demons lol.)
The Archer kinda reminds me of a female Robin Hood. (Oh Nasu and your gender changes.)
The Berserker reminds me of the wereman.
Not enough green and tights to be Robin Hood. Pretty much looks like a generic medieval archer to me. Or something from Final Fantasy.
Perhaps Mulan, then?

[12:40] Neir: lucina is pretty much flawless
Hmm, maybe it's kinda hard to tell and I'm not very good with legends.
Saber looks like an archetypical knight.
I doubt any of them are Mulan, since they all look very westernized.
Servant outfits rarely match their time periods or actual locations.

Examples, apart from Gilgamesh/Lancer's bodysuit?
Lancer probably didn't wear Spandex.
Edit: Sniped
5th Century Saber and Lancelot Berserker are wearing 13th+ Century plate armor and wielding same-era swords. Also, I'm pretty sure Cu Chulainn didn't wear blue tights.
Edit: Double sniped.
Localizationing stuff
Mmh, I kept thinking about Iskandar for some reason.
Anyway, you make a fair point. However, all of those seem to stem from the modern confusion/perception of outfits (i.e. knights and plate armour, random modern stuff on ancient servants). I don't think Nasu has exhibited instances of putting heroes in other countries' garb.
