Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
What I can tell you is that Mephisotpheles' Faust and Labyrinth's Faustus are two different people.
Oh my bad
BTW, Saber in Stay Night can retain all the memories about all the Grail wars where she participated, is there something special about how she can't recall about the different paths in the 5th war?

maybe if you agree with me that the routes can be seen as alternate universes, given that Saber doesn't have access to the Throne in those universes she simply can't know. No books to read and all that.
I'm likely to be wrong though
Hill -> Fate/Zero -> Tree -> Fate/stay night -> Avalon/Dead/whatever
She doesn't remember other routes because every Saber from FSN is Tree Saber and she doesn't get to repeat the fifth HGW.

Think A -> B -> C/D/E
Saber is at B. C, D, and E are Fate, UBW, and HF.
She doesn't get to go B -> C -> D -> E and try again until she wins.
She goes from B -> C, or B -> D, or B -> E.

The routes aren't actually alternate universes.

Something something jackhammer.

Would Saber's Blessings From the Lady of the Lake be able stop Fionn's Hydro Cannon from hurting her?
In my experience McCool's Hydro Cannon doesn't really hurt anything to begin with

If Shirou keeps Saber around, wouldn't having Avalon active inside of him make him (not in the healing sense)immortal?
No. He'd just heal fast and not get sick.
