I was wondering if servants are what they perceive the selfs mentally so being distort ended by say mad enhancement causes a servant to take a more monstourous form, like how it's mentioned that Hercules would look like he does as a berserker, but just less monstersous and more human looking.

I've always thought the effects of Mad Enhancement on a Servant's appearance was a nod to, or inspired by, Cú Chullain's warp spasm.
no still just as buff, and just as big, still just as scary and awesome looking, just less monsters. but essentially my thoughts was the answer to weather or not the berserker class changes there appearance do to there mental state, therefor also answering weather a servants appearance is based on what they believe them selfs to look like, or the best memory of there appearance.

Einzberns knew at least a few months ahead, Kirei would've known at least the minute the spirit board activated, and the Association would know whenever the ritual acted up since HF points out they can remotely observe that shit, although who knows exactly how far ahead that would be.

Distortion is just a fancy telekinesis that is actualized by the red and green spiral Shiki sees to twist stuff.
Death Perception is interacting with preexisting death. They don't create shit. What's there is already there.

Ok so something I've been wondering, does Ilya age at a slower rate, and has she ever mentioned her looks and size hendering her in society? Cause I now Ilya is eighteen, but does her being half normal human and half humunclues effect the progress of her age? Or is there no connon reason and she's just looks like that for the Loli troup and no attempt has been made to explain why she looks so young.
It's not that she's a homunculus specifically, but the modifications she underwent to make her a suitable vessel for the Grail lead to her aging far slower then normal. I don't think she's ever mentioned it hindering her in society though, probably since she's spent most of her life cooped up in the Einzbern castle.

She doesn't develop/grow properly because of all the modifications done to her. Same reason she's going to die about a year post F/SN.
