Very true. I remember reading about that battle as a child, but said Chariot didn't really have fame on its own, and it was really just a mounted platform for them to use their awesome bow skills. Also, does that mean Arjuna should qualify as well by that logic? Finally, has it been stated anywhere in any material that Karna qualifies as a Rider?

Also Arjuna's chariot is special with Hanuman as his banner and protecting it. I can see him qualifying .

Nothing stopping Karna's chariot to not also be a bow or is an armament that goes with him. Helena's Duel Wheel is also made out of the same material as the UFO and she used it to change into Archer.
Using "joke servant" as argument never holds any weight in the first place.
