Another question. What is the relationship between Angra Mainyu's muck and Tiamat's Sea of Life/Chaos Tide or whatever it's called? I believe FGO hinted a relationship between the two, with the latter being way more powerful, but since I've never played and likely never will play the game, I'm not sure that's correct.

We don't know what the relationship is, just that one exists.

To name a few:

- Amaterasu = Vairocana = Dakini = Tamamo. Amaterasu's mystic code of the sun is also a mix of Indian and Japanese designs.
- Brahma = Bonten
- Indra = Taishakuten = Gozu Tennou, also Gozu Tennou = SusanoO (IRL, not confirmed in Nasuverse yet), Raikou is Gozu Tennou incarnation and has Indra's Vajra.

I'm still waiting for that Chinese fusion where Xihe (Amaterasu proto) is Apollo and the world tree Fusan is actually Yggdrasil.

While it is cool that Nasu is exploring the syncretism of Indian, Chinese, and Japanese gods, and I find religious syncretism to be quite an interesting subject, at the same time, I feel Nasu's use of it is just a huge case of creator provincialism, and it gives too much priority to the Japanese versions at the expense of the original, Indian versions of the gods, and I can't help but feel somewhat slighted by that, even if I ain't that religious.

I know in HF, she uses a reconstructed Jeweled Sword of Zelrecht/Zeltrech, and the plot of Hollow Ataraxia is caused by her experimentations with the Kaleidoscope (I'm super confused about that last part)? Related to that, is one simply taught one of the 5 True Magics, and is it possible to know some parts of it, but not the whole thing?

While the underlying concept of using various forms of syncretism of real-life mythological figures in a work of fiction and exploring the relationship between fact and fiction are both interesting ideas, they're ultimately wasted by being employed by poor writers.

When he left he gave Tohsaka a chest with stuff and said" try to replicate this" as a sort of assignment, with the expectation of it being very unlikely any descendant of the family ever could but it was better then giving it to the other disciples. Well in the events of HF Rin was able to do it and create the Jeweled Sword(with extensive help, if not most of the legwork by Illya and Shirou) thus have her be recognized by Zeltrich and thus leading to her experiment with it more thus the explosion in HA

So, there can only be a new Second Magician when Zelrecht/Zeltrech hypothetically dies? Also, when you say others can use parts, can they use ALL parts but still not be considered a true Magician, or can only the True Magician use the entire complement?

Reading Dullahan's posts is a bit like translating an ancient language most of the time, but this time I believe the meaning is fairly clear (by his standards):
Sometimes Servants are like Vlad (historically correct but possesses Innocent Monster due to being twisted in myth), sometimes they're an amalgam of history and the myths about them (Napoleon I guess?), sometimes Nasuverse history means that fuck you that's how the character was in OUR history to begin with (Drake being a woman), and the whole thing has no guiding reason behind it beyond "we thought that was cool" because the writers are hacks.
