But nasu tells me that more lines = stronger spell.
Discussions must be the same.
Gods are not gods unless humans worship them (giving them the classification of "god"). Some 12 titan aliens are just some 12 titan aliens until humans give them names and consider them the Olympus gods. Random golden 9 tailed fox is random golden 9 tailed fox until humans assume her to be Amaterasu/Dainichi Buddha....etc. The base models of them are real but the status of being a god is from human worship. Outside of that they are just real ancient beings living on the planet back then. Like, if you call the T-Rex a god then attribute a bunch of crazy shit to it, you'll have a lizard/dragon-like god, and when tracing back to the Jurassic era to see that dinosaur you'll realize that ohhh this "god" is "real", we found the model for it.
Gil was chosen by the Mesopotamia gods. Gods of other religions have their own doomsday.
They even have their own AoG which ended after the first emperor took over lol. The world texture might also be inspired from the ancient myths as well because it was said that Amaterasu together with Susanoo and Tsukuyomi painted the world into what it is (pretty much inspired the gameplay of Okami).
Okami sucks because i played the ps version
I have big clumcy thumbs
Not a question, per se, but could this thread maybe get stickied? Seems appropriate for what's basically the star of the Type-Moon General Discussion forum.
Considering that this thread is always on the first page considering its popularity, there's not really a reason to sticky it?
I see. Are you also saying that all dinosaurs were actually phantasmal beasts or that they were mundane animals that could hypothetically could have become gods due to human worship and attribution?
On an unrelated note, I just watched the Fate Zero Drama CD 3, and in it, Iskandar compared Taiga to an old governor of his who dragged him around everywhere and truly blossomed after his death. I'm not sure who Iskandar was referencing? Do you guys know?
Some like Quertz.

Quetzalcoatl's Quetzalcoatlus didn't really exist in the past though, it's a Divine Beast much more powerful than the real pterosaurs.
I think Ivan's Mammoth is a better example.
Now I have another question: Did the Age of Gods exist since the beginning of the World, or did it only begin with the rise of human civilization? Was there an age before it, when humans hadn't built a complex civilization with Gods and dabbled extensively in magecraft and where Alaya didn't exist?
The Age before the AoG was the AoG. I think it was mentioned somewhere the one we know was the 2nd.

Oh, good to know. So did the current gods exist in the first Age of Gods, or was the divine landscape different? I assume the First Age of Gods ended or had something to do with Altera's attack on Earth 14,000 years ago. Is that true?
This is all so confusing, but intriguing.

Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
