Do we know the First Magic is related to time travel? I thought it was simply the Denial of Nothingness.

I believe the First was speculated to be related to Ether and True Ether, not time travel

I assume the consuming was more since they appear to both be Magics created as a result from reaching the Root, not because they have similar natures in regards to time

The only other thing I remember the First being linked to is resurrection, with the Third and one other. That you need all three to pull the deed. Funny seeing how Servants are I forget resurrecting the dead is hard as shit.

Iirc from the one scene of mahoyo I've seen, the Counter Force fights you hard every time you attempt to use Magic.

Wasn't everyone talking about the 5th as that one was related to the question in the first place?
Also, it's what Touko thinks at first, and she even gets more confused when she sees Mr. Bear Punch alive and kicking. Of course, we are told that it's not one of those things (resurrection and time travel), and the "time travel" part would be a by-product of the 5th, but not exactly the result or actual function.

From what I remember, the Counter Force tries to troll you every time you try to get Magic, but not exactly every time you use it. The whole thing with Aoko was that she has the choice of actually getting Magic because of what her grandfather did (which was not to open the path and get the prize). That's why she felt the shadow back on the park and also in her fight against Touko; she doesn't have it yet, but even trying to think of getting it makes the shadow appear trying to troll her. <<<--- which I think is stupid... if she is a potential threat, now or in the future because she has access to the means to get a Magic, the CF should have erased her at any moment, for example, when she is too busy suffering with Soujuurou's shenanigans, IDK...

You expect me to believe this is magic!” Touko does not believe that localized individual time travel is the true nature of the Aozaki magic. Aoko’s transformation is still only a side effect of her magic. She could not gauge if Aoko had arrived at the very depths of the nature of her magic, but she was certain it was not so simple a miracle. Because the concept of time travel is already included in the second magic. The revising of records, the rewriting of events falls under the operation of parallel worlds in other words. For that to now be called the Fifth Magic made no sense.
