So dead as in Throne of Heroes dead? Also, did that only happen after Rhongo was released?

Dumb question, but is Shuten Douji dead as dead can be?

There isn't any real life text that mentions He lived is there?

If you wanna see the head, it was sealed together with a piece of Tamamo's stone corpse and Otakemaru's head in a temple.

Does that mean they're technically still alive?

    Probably not.

Emperor Sutoku on the other hand might still be alive, at least by Nasuverse lore standards. He did, in recent years, cause an earthquake during a radio play of his legend at the exact moment the man playing him enacted his curse. Or so say superstitious folk. Or… something along those lines… That said, it’s still one of the spookiest coincidences I’ve ever heard of.

Since ApocJack is both a collective of wraiths and a curse, can she be killed without an exorcism? If not, are there any specific circumstances that would have to be met?

    Yes she's still a Servant.
In London you kill her fine.

I think You meant that Guda and co. kill Jack in GO's London chapter just fine. And really, there's a lot of Servants with circumstances other than "ghost of a single dead dude" and none of them need anything fancier than a sharp stick (albeit a magic one) to be killed, so...

    Spoiler:
Add's seal is the Logos React Replica
Logos React (the original one) is basically a philosopher stone based thing that can replicate a personality.
Gray was supposed to be King Arthur's body
The Logos React was supposed to replicate King Arthur's personality
And the HGW was supposed to replicate King Arthur's soul
By fusing all three together, you get King Arthur
Basically Add is an Atlas Mystic Code

    Yeah
My guess to Apo is that because Reika uses 2 CS's to make sure Jack survived after Reika died and because of those two CSs the kid hell kind of spewed out of her.
Because in the London Chapter she kind of just goes down right?

So what you're telling us is that "Kay" is just a philosopher's stone replica with a personality? Thus, is he always present with Add the whole time, and does he have the real Kay's memories?

    Spoiler:
The personality "Add" is modeled after Kay's personality. Kay's personality can only be reproduced since it's the Logos React Replica.
The Kay in Case Files only came into being when Gray and Waver went into the Logos React. There, Kay is like Mind Hakuno in Extella so yes it does have Kay's memories.
Basically Kay's mind/personality was replicated into the Logos React Replica and used as a foundation to produce the personality "Add" which is used to seal Rhongo.

Yeah, it is, if he willingly had his personality replicated by the Logos React Replica, which come to think of it, he probably did. I guess the idea of "Kay" helping an Artoria who comes back destroy the Grail isn't quite dead.

The novels does mention this, Gray sees Add as her older brother and is happy when she finds out this connection between the two of them

Waver speculates Morgan was the one that iniciated the whole ritual on Gray's village, however that was long ago and she's gone so he also says he can't even imagine to comprehend her motives in doing so (the whydunnit). Basically is a theory of Waver that stays unconfirmed

So the idea is that Gray's face suddenly changed to Artoria's the year the latter was summoned for the 4th Holy Grail War, and then the villagers decided to use her as the body of King Arthur as a result, also giving her Add/Rhongo, which was supposed to be the mind, and then Artoria summoned through the Grail was supposed to be the soul?

    Yes
    Spoiler:
    However the beginning is off.
Gray's mother really really got into the village cult when Gray's dad died and started synchronizing their wavelengths which included feeding her mashed potatoes to maximize the "King Arthur factor" in their bloodline. And then presumably when the 4th war happened, she got a Saberface.

Zepia did. That's why it's a copy of one of Atlas's seven great weapons.
IIRC at the end of vol 7 when he tells Gray that Add is the Logos React Replica he hints he's been the village before.
Also Gray has a magic crest that's passed down by the grave keepers that allows her to use Add. So Add isn't a recent thing.

I mean, almost everything else about depictions of King Arthur and Camelot (both in TM and pop culture in general) are anachronistic and it's the potatoes that you wanna focus on? :/
