Hi, where is it stated that the name of Chaldea is exactly "Finis Chaldea" and not only "Chaldea"? Because if I remember correctly, in the prologue of FGO the institute is named only "Chaldea". I know the jp wiki names it Finis Chaldea, too, but there isn't a source, so if anyone of you can provide me one I would really appreciate.

Right now I don't remember seeing it anywhere, but the JP wiki added it as "the official name" around the time after London release and KnK collab just finished (plus prison tower ongoing), so if that was mentioned it should be either from those chapters or another official source.

Well Tiamat birthed life on the planet so she's been around longer than the dinosaurs.

If you're looking for actual dinosaur gods, look at Quetzalcoatl and almost certainly the rest of the mesoamerican pantheon.

also, on Surt killing gods, Skadi keeps using thr word "god" for Odin and herself. she alsi seems a bit dismissive of divine spirits and when she confronts Caenis she once again makes the distinction that Caenis is a DS while she herself is a God

Kinda, the way the mesoamerican work is that their divinity comes a type of bacteria that came down with an asteroid that started infecting people and animal then couple Thousand years down the line they were seen as gods

Quetzalcoatl and the rest of her pantheon are alien bacteria that came down on Earth in the meteor that caused the K-Pg.

Now, the game only talks about how, before humans came to be, they were infecting "animals", but we can assume that some of them took ahold of dinosaurs and pterosaurs as their hosts. Extinction wasn't an instantaneous event, after all.

In fact, while they never explicitly make that connection, I'm pretty sure that's why Quetzalcoatl has a Quetzalcoatlus, it's probably one of her previous hosts. Sadly, the game only talks about their name conection.

That'd be my assumption. That, and a lot of the coolest Cretaceous dinosaurs are from the area. Not to diminish inner Mongolia and all, but they didn't have T. rexs.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Chicxulub and Quetzalcoatlus are the only reasons, pretty flimsy excuses.
