for some reason in the nasuverse just having vampiric qualities seems to convey solar weakness.
I think inverted akiha has issues to, though I could be wrong.

  2. #202
I don't remember Akiha having any issues with the sun inversed or otherwise, though I haven't read Tsukihime in a long time. I always thought the whole vampiric weakness to the sun was DA only, inherited from TAs, in turn inherited from CM. Since they are based off/connected to the moon, and generally sun >>>> moon in fantasy and religion...

Makes me wonder if Amaterasu or some other divine spirit representing the sun would lolwtfpwn Arc.

On what day did Sakura give Shinji rider?
I can't remember whether it was before or after Shirou got Saber.

It's never stated exactly when she handed Rider over, but it's almost certainly before Shirou summoned Saber.

That's it, I'm gonna go ahead and go through every single damn possibility of every route in MB now.

But first I have to try and find the damn game.

    In the same lines...
What does exactly happen to a vampire if exposed to the sun? Nrvnqsr retired before daybreak, and Sion mentions in some MB route that sun would mean instant death, but in the Ciel-sensei story of KT Nrvnqsr says that high level vampires can dominate that weakness (and I'd say the info bits of that short should be considered valid)

It's probably a trait carried over from the blood of Crimson Moon.

They just like the Moon better.

Or, maybe only Dead Apostles, or living corpses in general, even if they are not considered to be DA (like Zouken) are the ones that are weak to sunlight. After all, living corpses like Nrvnqsr and possibly Zouken don't have Crimson Moon's blood coursing through their veins. There is no indication that True Ancestors get weaker with sunlight, they are just imperfect without the Moon because they are a cooproduction of both the Earth and the Moon.

And somehow being perfect and then becoming not perfect isn't getting weaker?

Depends which is their default state. They were made for moonlight, so I'd say their default state is moon-powered- whenever they can't see the moon, they're weaker.

It's as if all the magi know how to make Mystic Eye Killers now...

But nah, since Rin's a great magus, I'll accept it.

I reckon it'd be a pretty simple job for a good magus- at least, if they had time to experiment with the eyes and what blocks the sight/effects.

I'm assuming the more powerful the mystic eyes, the more 'powerful' the mystic eye killers need to be?
<Satehi> I, satehi, thought of tentacles first for entirely inappropriate, disgusting, lewd and perverted reasons

I was thinking the same thing. And both MEoDP and Rider's eyes should be insanely rare.

Or rather, just different materials/enchantments for different mystic eyes, maybe.

For example, eyes that mesmerise via light could be blocked with a simple reflective layer on the glasses. Think Code Geass.
