Hey, ok didn't kotomine train for years in magic going to near mastery and then going onto another magic? So why don't we see him using like tons of magic in his fights in the holy grail.

And also didn't emiya learn how to use projection from kritsugu notes on project. So does that mean that kirsugu could use projection?

And is projection like a rare skill Thats extremely powerful or something? Fate didn't really go into projection a whole lot.
No, Kotomine trained under Tokiomi and the breadth of his education included a bunch of stuff, but he's pointed out to just be good at the healing stuff. It's like teaching Shirou something, he might understand and be able to use the knowledge, but he's not going to use necromancy when he has no talent for it.
And likewise, Shirou learned general stuff from Kiritsugu, but Kiritsugu wasn't even a practicing mage anymore.
And projection is a rare skill that nobody uses because it's useless except for ritualistic crap that you can just figure out other ways around for what it would be useful for.

Ok I see, for emiya projection is only useful to him, since he can project NPs, is that it?
It isn't even that he can project nps, its that they actually have functionality at all. Projection just creates an image, it doesn't create a lasting, useful object. But even the pots and pans in his shed stick around.
Please read the visual novel for further information.

So, is emiya like the only Mage who if they used projection would be able to project an NP? Or is that also something a Normal Mage could do?
Could archer project armor? Like could he project the armor Gilgamesh used in fate zero?
wouldnt say projection is a rare skill tbh

I thought the limits excluded items created by the gods for other gods, items that are considered EX rank (though approval by owner overwrites this), and things like Ea. Too lazy to check the mcdoc though.
As for the other stuff, read F/Z for the Kotomine question, and F/SN for the others.
What does the non-Tenka Fubu version of Innovation do.
Or is it a mats question

I replayed Extra recently with Archer. He describes True Ancestors as being the will of the stars and similarly Rani says that TAs are the stars themselves. Is this new lore or did the translators simply translate 星 as stars instead of "the planet/world"?
Obviously the latter.
Guess it's irony that Kotomine is excellent at healing.
As for Projection, I wonder if an acceptable use of it for a magecraft user is to deceive people like that guy in that movie Push. Like illusions except there's better magecraft for that.
Shirou should have just joined the Yakuza and been a counterfeiter.
