Would Caster have been able to use Kuzuki as a jury rigged anchor for Saber?

Basically the anchor is your passport and Gaia checks your passport every second. If you don't have your passport then you get deported.
I think the Tokiomi part and Kayneth part are removed from the First-Class magus.

why doesn't Gil just put a shit ton of portals in front of him? He'd be immune to projectiles and people wouldn't be able to get close to him since they'd fall in.

Yeah I'm almost certain they need a permanent anchor usually a Master in order to stay in the world. Hence why Medea was so close to dying before Kuzuki found her.
Because the vault is Gil's.
And Shirou only sees the key in one route.
And it's not a close combat weapon.

GoB depends on your riches. So if Shirou used it there would be nothing in his vault to shoot.
Also why would Gilgamesh want filth like you falling into this vault.

I'm assuming Gate of Babylon has an activation cost however slight it is.
Shirou projecting the key would only leave him with a Key that can't do anything since shirou doesn't have the vault so to say.
