Because to reach Lancer's speed he would have to be a heroic spirit himself, and the only servant with strength higher than Saber in the 5th Heaven's Feel is Berserker.
It's pretty much Shirou thinking "I can be as strong as the weaker of them and as fast as the slower of them, but even then it would be hax, thus they are very hax".

Nah, Shirou will wake up and win the war to give Reinforce her happy ending. It was in the first snippet.
And "Earth go BOOM" is something that supposedly should happen, but doesn't, as even in the original it was pretty much defeated by a combination of 3 Earth mages with assistance from 1 of TSAB's ships (and we have a few more mages here), along with the Wolkenritter (and here we have... kind of... Wolkenritter, too). It's possible for it not to happen, though it might be difficult to write it in a believable way.

in UBW he didn't get killed by Caster. In the case of Lancer it was because the act of Lancer getting back up was so MANLY that even Kirei's heart had to beat faster.Then he realized he didn't have a heart anymore, and thus he died :P
In the case of Shirou in Fate it was because the fact that Shirou was trying to kill him with his old hobby knife,which he had given to Rin. He found it so funny that he couldn't keep himself from slipping into the grailmud as he laughed himself to death.
Like I said, he dies on his own terms :P
