Thread has been commandeered as the general fanclub for characters that weren't created by Type-Moon,
including characters from doujins, fanfiction, and other fanmade creations.

I noticed that there was no thread up to support Kieran's OC social group on BL2 (itself the spiritual successor to the old OC thread back on BL1) I figured I'd use a bit of unwarranted prerogative to try and help out.

I just hope he doesn't mind me launching the thread for him... heh.


Anyway.

As with its counterpart (and forerunner), this thread is intended to be a place where those of you with an interest in some of Beast's Lair's original fan works can go to chat about some of the newly-created characters which have been generated here; be they of a heritage stemming back to the old board (or yet further afield), or freshly added to this one.

To clarify, this thread would (in my view; apologies in advance if Kieran has other ideas) be focused on new characters; be they new relatives of canon characters or brand new persons entirely. So, the likes of Kieran's Jester, Elf's Forest, and my own Seonac O'Conaill would be on the table.


One thing I did back on the old boards was to suggest each poster wishing to mention his or her OCs of interest to put the descriptions of them into a signle post; which could then be linked to in an index on the first page. That might help newcomers to the thread find a good frame of reference, in terms of getting up to speed on some of the original characters writers here have coaxed into life on the (web or printed)page.


Oh, and please try not to be too sharp with the knives, if you could...


Also, one last thing for now; I'm only setting this thread up to help things long, not to try and "run" the club (as much as such a thing means anything here on BL2). This, if anyone, is Kieran's bag.

I was trying to create a character page for my OCs, sicne the old one from BL1 is gone; but I'm drawing a blank. Any ideas as to what kind of format we should use?

Also, how many of you have been able to get art commissioned for any of your characters? I know Elf has some art for Forest and Quinn...

(I wish I could afford a few good commissions for my characters; particularly Seonac, Mike Mackenzie, and Andrei.)

I haven't but would pay Koto to draw my OC's in all seriousness. (i love her art)

It was more of a general "pop over and have a look" thing, not for anyone in particular.

That said, if this leads to anything useful, there might be a better place to se about commissions and suchlike, for those so interested.
