Maybe make it an old friend of Rin's or something for extra drama. Old childhood promise shit for more drama is optional.
    Imminent Love Hina crossover.

The twist: Shirou is actually Mutsumi.

Why must you bring Love Hina into this?

He was probably thinking of that one fic concerning this crossover. Can't remember the name of it though.

Neither was the character development. It was probably one of the best parts along with the story itself.

I liked Love Hina, I just couldn't stand its two main leads.

That's and opinion I think a lot of us share.

Good thing the series had Haruka and Seta, so there could be a resolved love story between two characters I actually like.

Fate/Zero is supposed to be set 10 years before F/SN. And from what I've sen in other forums, it is somewhat agreed upon that F/SN is set around 2004, since there was an episode in Fate/Zero where Waver had got knocked down, showing an atlas dated in 1995. And since atlas books are always set one year ahead, it can be inferred that Fate/Zero takes place in 1994. That said, I don't think that Tsukihime has a definite set place timeline wise, as I hadn't seen much from the higher ups from Nasu on the subject; only that Tsukihime takes place when the events of F/SN occur. So, for all we know, it could be taken place at around the same year as F/SN, to about a few months to maybe a few years off in either direction.

We know that Clinton was President of the US during Fate/Zero. So that fits with the atlas saying 1994/1995.

Muddies it up because Nasu keeps retconning when stuff takes place, and we dunno what new Tsuki will do.

We know it definitely takes place between 1992 and 2000.
