Yes, but those are things that have happened/will happen since it's already been written. Nowhere in any of their OP's have they Josuke fighting Dio, Or Johnny smacking around Kars.
On the other hand, Ufotable also had Lancer and Caster fighting down a highway in the First(?) OP. That never happened anywhere in the show. Unless I missed an episode somewhere.

Like, yeah, go ahead and write something up that uses that imagery or whatever, but saying "this clearly represented this!" is dumb when those in charge of a show are more like "do something cool!"

It can still be symbolic even if the events never actually happen in that exact way in the show. That's why it's called 'symbolism'.
Some stuff is clearly just put there to look cool but that doesn't mean there can't be anything genuinely meaningful in there.
It's foreshadowing or symbolism even if it's symbolic of something that doesn't exist? That's impressive.
I need to insert this sort of padding into my works.

I'm not so sure. The grass is nice, and sky isn't covered in smog, but would Rin's companionship really destroy Shirou's inner world? Because that's kind of what it looks like there.
There may be some symbolism, but that's only if the viewer interprets it as being there, and like Arashi keeps saying, it doesn't exist, and it was designed to look cool, not to mean anything in particular storywise.
I could see something similar to it happeing to Shirou's Reality Marble, but it wouldn't fall apart and rust like that. I'm trying to come up with a way to describe Shirou's RM after five years, and I imagine it would look more alive, considering he's been living happily, with a fair bit less self-loathing than he did the last time he summoned it, but the swords wouldn't be rusted.
I imagine a grassy field with swords struck into the ground everywhere. The gears are still in the sky, and there's still a fair bit of smog, obscuring the light of the sun. No rust or broken gears though. That wouldn't make sense.

Which also works the other way, just because some shots have meaning, doesn't mean that they all do. You're looking for hidden meanings in things that don't contain any. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
