Yeah, the idea is to hit all your elements, so maybe we could do at least 500 words per element. Not, like, in clear divisions but if you count your fic to count for two of your squares it has to be at least 1000 words, and if it hits three 1500 and so on?

I can set up something more formal later, but to give me an idea: what kinds of categories for bingo squares would you like to see? (It's okay if we don't all agree; I can set it up so you can exclude a certain number of prompts or a certain category.) Tropes? Scenarios? Types of AU? Characters? Pairings? Sexy prompts/kinks? Other category of prompt?

So yeah there's possibilities here, you just need to expand your cast and setting possibilities outside of FSN so it comes out less forced.

Well, I wasn't actually planning on focusing on anyone other than Fuyuki. The whole DnD setup itself is just convoluted excuse for me to tell interesting stories with characters I like that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to if I just stuck to the vanilla setting.

Sorta like how Hollow Ataraxia's setting gave Nasu an excuse to make a Fate/stay Night sequel that's 2/3 of the cast doing Slice-of-Life stuff. Or how Prisma Illya's setting was the excuse Hiroyama needed to make a magical girl series where everyone gained their powers by cosplaying as Servants.

So I've been reading Umineko (still reading it don't spoil anything please) and I can't help but feel a murder mystery would be cool in the Nasuverse. Well, I guess that's what Case Files Vol 1 was, but it wasn't very intricate. I was thinking something using the F/A imitation Grail Wars might work.

Maybe some pacifist magus invites four of his acquaintances to take part in a ritual. Rather than fight to the death, his intention is for everyone to have a friendly discourse and determine who should be the one who gets the Grail. To facilitate this, he locks everyone (including himself) in a completely isolated mansion, with the idea that they will only be free once a winner is chosen. Since he set up the ritual in the first place, there would be precautions in place to weaken the Servants (and maybe the Magi I guess) or something.

And then someone is murdered. The culprit leaves a message exclaiming that unless someone is chosen, the murders will continue.

So basically the story would be about a bunch of greedy Magi (all with their own motives) arguing who should have the right to the Grail, while also trying to figure out who is behind the murders.

Theoretically this concept could probably work without the Grail War background, but then nobody would read it. Besides, I think the Grail serves as a good central motivation for all the characters. The Servants add a little flavour, and would probably be existing characters to balance the mostly OC Magi cast.

I think a good story out of a murder mystery might be the Rose Prophecy giving its judgement.
The DAA in question gathers up his potential successors to choose the next one to take his place. But before he makes his judgement, he dies.
And then upon his death its revealed that the prophecy was "the one who finds out who killed him is the successor" or something like that but more poetic

It would be very OC driven.
But it would be a good example of "the games DAs play to keep themselves not-bored"

5th War, except Illya decided to summon fluffboy Asterios instead of Herk, and tossed everyone into his labyrinth. Keep the Etrian Odyssey vibe or just redesign it for DnD according to taste.
