This reminds me of an idea I had about Shirou, Saber, Rin and Sakura as normal people without their powers (Saber kept her sword, though, but it also was powerless) in a L4D(2) setting.
Shirou would be too hax. With his hand eye coordination you could just hand him a gun and a bullet for every zombie in your way.
Well, I suppose he would have to figure out how to use a gun first, but after that...

How about before Kiritsugu saved Shirou a piece of the Grail's mud hit Shirou and accidentally absorbed it.
Years later when the grail war begins, Shirou begins to feel pain as his personality begins to black out every once in awhile and Avenger's personality comes out (with his weapons and nobles phantasms)
