Because it doesn't appeal to personal aesthetic taste it's bad, I see. This must be why RPGs for years have stuck entirely with the safe method of using "The X" for protag names, a sad truth. Which is also the case for MEA anyhow, now that I think about it.

Personally, I think it's fine. It's ordinary, inoffensive, just a name. Arguably better fundamentally as an RPG character name than a Christ allegory/Stargate reference combo.
