Loved trying out the Hi-Ex SUPER POWERFUL ammo combined with scram rails and stuff to make a beasting Sniper Rifle that likely packed the force of a Cain Shot.

It'd overheat after the first shot but yeah, those were awesome.

And the sad thing is, even with the overheat, you'd likely still get more shots and damage output with it than ammo-dependent counterparts.

The Pulse Rifle was awesome in ME1.

In ME2, it was meh.

Mmmmm, I liked the ME2 Pulse Rifle. It just was a... hardcore only unlock, IIRC?

Yeah, the Pulse Rifle is only found on Hardcore or Insanity runs, in the mission to recruit Tali on Haestrom. The final room with Tali in it, has a dead Geth with the rifle if you're on HC/Insanity. Normally, it's a tech upgrade or somesuch, otherwise.

From the wiki:

Picked up during Tali's recruitment mission at Haestrom on Hardcore or Insanity difficulty setting. The rifle can be found in the same room Tali is in, after destroying the Geth Colossus. The difficulty should be changed before or immediately after landing on the planet.

It's wierd that there seems to be no mention of getting the weapon in Mass Effect, seeing how you automatically aquired it on Normal and higher during the last Citadel run.

He was available from the start. IIRC, wasn't intended to be a DLC character, but they ran out of time.
