It's amazing how people can get so butthurt over such little things when they can merrily massacre a village.

And, maybe it's just me, but I like it when NPCs don't blindly agree to whatever I say. It creates conflict!

The difference is that the players politely massacred the village. It's ok if they do it politely. Nobody likes rude mass murderers after all. Etiquette makes all the difference in Tamriel!

Though I suppose being trapped in a soul gem for all eternity is a rather steep measure for a lesson in manners. >xP

Well I just finished Mass Effect 3 yesterday and... WTF did I just play at the last 15 minutes... (note: I finished it on Insanity)

Ending Spoilers, Duh

The last battle on Earth and we spend the last 30 minutes fighting in an alley alone... Where the hell is my Krogan ground support? Where are my STG Snipers or Alliance infantry. My Geth Prime units or my Quarian fighter support? Why was Hammer Group so god damn weak? I know the Reapers had a lot of units on Earth but we brought what was essentially everything the Galaxy could muster to retake Earth. And this wasn't even a theater of war. It was a 100km x 100 km city. I was expecting Alliance/Quarian airstrikes to clear a path to the target while Krogan soldiers ran over husks like a stampede and Salarian and Geth snipers took out enemies from afar.

Instead, I fight a 3 on 100 battle against an army of Reapers. God damn Banshees.

Also: Harbinger has Overpowered Lasers.

And yah... the final ending was a dream. Fuck the Starchild ending.

What was your Galaxy at War rating? I read somewhere- not sure where, unfortunately- that that affected the ending somehow. Mine was at 50%, and it seems to be the same thing you got...

I'd say you underestimate Reaper infantry and overestimate Hammer.

Galaxy at War just affects a few small things related to the last set of choices you have.

Get a phenomenally high effective military strength, either through multiplayer or new game plus, and you get a few seconds of Shepard breathing in some rubble if you go with the "destroy" ending. That's it. Nothing that makes it any less stupid and cryptic.

All I'm saying is it seems like I had the minimum war readiness with the response I was getting when I had 6k war assets with 100% war readiness. This operation was the equivalent of all modern day countries sending in 75% of their armies into a city. We're talking a massive amount of ground troops. Enough divisions and regiments to take a continent all sent down to take a city. Unless the reapers were packing their troops in London literally like a Sardine can, allied forces should have held better.

Of course, the reason Bioware doesn't show it was it would have costed more money. Sigh...
