Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners) was released as a doujin work online at first. Nasu didn't exactly like this idea but his buddy Takeuchi convinced him to do it. Source: Garden of Sinners Blu-ray interview.

That's why Mahoyo isn't coming out when it's supposed to, because Takeuchi's not there.

...That actually sort of makes sense. Nasu being all "this must be perfect!" and "what if I did this?" and Takeuchi just saying "man, this is amazing already, let's release it!"

Since Farsha is the only mythological axe that really comes to mind at this moment, he would have been pretty screwed while taking blanketing fire from the Gate of Babylon - that is, unless he had dedicated his life to shaping other weapons into axes, but even so, that's a ridiculous stretch on his powers...

Though, I seem to remember the entry for "origin" in CM3 including a bit about how outside of its standard definition, when it comes to magecraft the term can also be used to refer to elemental alignment. Master trollin'?
