If I judge someone, I judge some based on something that actually matters in regarding the real world and interactions in reality, as opposed to something silly like likes, dislikes, or shipping preferences.
I'm pretty accepting and liberal minded, I guess.

...Likes and dislikes are important in the real world, and help decide whether or not you can get along with someone.
True enough, but likes and dislikes don't affect how I choose to perceive people unless it has ingrained in my personal image of them for whatever reason - it's all about character: How they act, how they treat others...that's what really matters.
I just can't bring myself to seriously hate someone if I disagree with their preferences...or at least, I haven't meant anyone in person who would warrant genuine hate from me, and I probably never realistically will. If I do not get along with someone (which has been mercifully rare due to my generally accepting//borderline apathy attitude), it's due to a clash of philosophy or personality.
But (I have always thought this and I always will) getting genuinely butthurt over shipping fictional characters is just plain silly. At the very least I find it amusing. It's certainly a good way to kill time, I'll warrant that.
There are way better reasons to judge someone in my book.
Anyway, that's all I'm saying on this matter. I don't want to derail this thread up anymore.

Disagreed on the basis that, if you dislike one of the characters in the pairing, you won't enjoy the pairing, no matter how well written.
And that's not going into the fact that there are som pairings that you just disagree with on a subconscious level.
