Agreed. Though even if GO and GoA has featured Saber without any direct interaction with Shirou, I feel that the development given by GoA gave the Fate route much more depth given the more clear perspective of how she mirrors Shirou and how their relationship helped her in her darkest time, it is even referenced shortly by Merlin close to the end.

As for GO, I can only have hopes that if Merlin walked from Avalon to Chaldea then Avalon Saber could somehow do something similar and bring a certain someone with her.
