Finished my first run after 25 hours of playtime, 10-day binge, on a Greatscissors Str Knight build with a small Cleric dip (level 2 Prayers). Level 75 or so, disgustingly OP. Mage build is next!

The Ruin Sentinel fight isn't difficult, it's long boring and tedious. And if you have low AGL it's pretty much hell.

In my opinion one of the worst fights in the entire game.

Most of Dks2 is hell without high AGL. Why they added that stat, I will never understand....

In the specific case of the Sentinels, it isn't true. You don't need to roll to dodge them (much like the Pursuer). Learn to space better.

EDIT: Also, today I learned that the "strafe counterclockwise" Pursuer-killing strat also works against, of all things, the Hippo triple combo.

For the hippos I just trigger the sitting attack over and over.

As for the sentinels they're done. I managed to take about three quarters of the health of the second one before the third one came up.

Same. And strafing the combo puts you right at their back, solving the fight almost completely unless they open with the grab.

Finally beat the twin pursuers.

It was pretty much the most terrible experience I had playing a souls game. I don't even feel happy that I beat him because I had to respec my character to do it.
