So forgive if this just sounds like a noob's question but did Batman and Batgirl ever show sexual tension in the comics? Cuz that little Batgirl story in the beginning cought me really off-guard.

That is Bruce Timm's (the director's) particular bit of fan wank he likes shoehorning into Batman things for some godawful reason. It's never really worked, but he keeps going at it.

Bruce got Barbara pregnant and then told Dick. She then got hit in the stomach by some thug and the baby miscarried, but it broke apart the Bat-family.

On another note, just saw Suicide Squad. It was pretty funny. Spoilers below on my thoughts:

Though, I got to admit the ending could have been better. Diablo had some kind of Aztec God inside of him. They should have let him survive to end things instead of the doomsday weapon being blown up by a handful of explosives.

And I liked Enchantress' grungy look over her clean one, especially when she first appeared by grabbing the archeologist hand and then swapping places with her.

Will Smith did a great job, though Batman confronting him in an alley with his daughter screams the making of another origin story if that gun went off.

Gangster Joker wasn't really necessary in the film, in my point of view. I mean, when you have Enchantress that should have been enough.

Killer Croc was too small as well. He should be a hulking giant.

I saw Suicide Squad today too, but found it pretty boring. Characters and all were built fine (agree with what you said about Joker), but I couldn't get interested in the story as a whole.

Justice League Dark movie with John Constantine WHEN, DC? Just a standalone Constantine will do, actually. But after the short-lived telly show I doubt anything less than appearing as part of something larger would do.

'Twas fun. The 3rd act was a bit underwhelming, there were some great shots there but they weren't connected very well.

Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not sure if I like it more than MoS tho.

How to fix suicide squad:

Remove Katana, she's pointless and just hogs screen time.

As much as I like Boomerang Dude, he's probably gotta go too. Either him or Croc.

Don't kill off the big boss guy with a normal explosive when he's shown to be tanking missiles and guns and shit earlier.

Don't have Harley beat the Enchantress with a trite friendship bullshit speech in a movie about bad guys doing bad things.

Give El Diablo more screen time, that guy was dope. Don't kill him off either.

Do kill Flag, he was a cunt and a waste of space. We don't care about him or his hackneyed romance, we care about bad guys doing bad things. Maybe keep Boomerang Dude and have him do it in the last third, because I don't buy him returning to help everyone out after a single sob story.

Tune up the fights, they were average at best apart from El Diablo going loco. The last fight was just Enchantress teleporting around and hitting people and watching them fly back onto their stomachs. She's got knives, have her use them to actually stab shit. Deadpool did way better on a much tighter budget.

Have Harley lapse into therapist-babble more often, those bits were fun but too rare.

Keep Joker, he was alright.

Make it R-rated like it was supposed to be, you can tell this shit was supposed to be dark but then you get these random crappy moments that are obviously lighter reshoots.

Keep Will Smith, have his super aiming skills be more relevant outside his introduction and that one slowmo bit at the end.

Fix all the cliche villain dialogue, especially in the last third.

Maybe throw in another bad guy or something because they spend the first half of the movie fighting zombie dudes and that shit was boring. Gimme dat midboss.

Punch asshole guard in the face.

Punch Zack Snyder in the face. Mostly unrelated but I'd be able to tell.

If you're keeping Boomerang, give us more fucking Boomeranging. He throws that thing like twice in the whole movie.

Anyway, this came out

Seems they're doing an effort to get closer to the fans and being more like... well... Marvel. I do think this shift is a step in the right direction.

This looks really good. Fingers crossed for this be as good as it looks. I'm putting a lot of hopes on this movie. Cuz if this fails, the DCEU might just be canned.
I'd only stop putting the BvS WW theme at the end. While that theme is awesome, it clashes way too much with the rest of the soundtrack.
