Mr. Cyborg, tell us, does it really affect blood sugar, when you look cute pictures? Or is it just a story that parents tell their children who want a cute puppy?

(Seriously, though, a total different story is that my older nephew had a disease which made his blood sugar drop to zero all the time, his pancreas produced too much insulin. It was fixed in surgery, though he can get diabetes later because of all this. Some people have too much it, some people too little, and unfortunately they can't help each other.

Urgh. Chronic hypoglycaemia, one of the most wretchedly irritating conditions to have. Just came back from the pool. I'd made sure to eat a decent amount at just the right time beforehand (this sort of scheduling is important), swam 1km in about ~25 minutes, of which probably a little under 5 was resting. It took me a bottle of Lucozade and about an hour to recover, and I have no idea what I was doing for 15 minutes of that. Probably just sitting, staring at the changing room floor in a semi-conscious daze. And I make sure to do a good bit of exercise each week. If you didn't, I can't imagine how awful it could be.

But enough of that!
