I like Shinji in general about as much as I like Zouken, and I'm surprised that some people feel otherwise. I mean he hasn't exactly done anything to deserve nice things. <_<

Then there are other fics that I've done that don't involve Shinji at all. Otherwise, as I've stated earlier on, this isn't a place where I'm supporting some analytical breakdown of what Shinji is or is not. He's here, people who read the story are commenting, some of whom are fans of the character--so I'd appreciate it if you didn't add oil to a potential fire.

Well, it helps that I don't have such a strong hate of Shinji as he does. I mean, yeah, he's a complete asshole and treats Sakura like shit, but he is only 16, and there are some extenuating circumstances. I'm generally OK with Shinji getting a good end as long as Sakura doesn't get ignored, and Shinji here seems to have decided to treat Sakura a bit more nicely, at least for now.
