Tsukihime Audio Play

For those who haven't gone into the Share Your Voice Thread, I tossed around an idea to do a TM audio play. To my surprise, there actually seemed to be some interest. Eventually it was decided to start with Tsukihime. So far, the people interested in doing a voice are as follows:

I3uster had an idea for casting which I though was good:

As for the "casting", we could make everyone record a sample line of the character they want to voice, and then make a public poll in the poll section with the samples.
Would ensure a fair casting and we would most likely end up with the best fits for the respective characters.

Anyone else agree?

Next on the list (as far as I can tell) is deciding what route to go with. I have no preference myself, so I set up a poll.

I tried to voice SHIKI with a little higher pitch and lots of playfulness (madness is merry), my Roa would be a little deeper and more arrogant.

This raises an interesting question: how will this be done? Will it literally be folks reading the text aloud from the game? Or - more likely - will it be like a radio play.

For some good examples of how to do this, look at JesuOtaku's Fruit's Basket radio plays. Great stuff, well directed and acted.

What type of time commitment will this require? I'd be half tempted to voice someone, but I'm not really able to commit to something after mid January (LOL, Grad School!)


i voted for the Ciel rote, as I found myself having an inordinate liking for the character, despite the routes flawed writing. I'd imagine the THIS CHAIR scene would be perfectly hammy for our actors to chew on, as would Arcueid going full True Ancestor.

I was thinking, whoever's casted can record their lines at their own pace, and once they're finished they can send them to me and I can edit everything together. I'll accept any other ideas, though.

Everyone should record the same set of lines, so that side-by-side comparison is easier.

So, for Shiki, the whole "let me show you what it means"-speech, some Arihiko interaction, some Akiha teasing and some crying Ciel comforting I'd say. That would be a decent range.
