    Also known as Wakusei No Samidare or Hoshi no Samidare, The Lucifer and Biscuit hammer is an awesome manga from 2007 by Mizukami Satoshi (i think) about the battle between 12 Beast Knights and their Princess against 12 golems and Animus, an evil mage who wants to smash the earth with a giant pastry hammer for no real reason. However, the Princess secretly wants to destroy the world with her own fists and isn't going to let Animus have it. Told from the perspective of total badass and kind of loser college student Amamiya Yuuhi, the unfortunate partner of the Lizard Knight.

    Don't get confused, she is a human being, just a little devil. Also can punch out mountains.

    I don't want to spoil too much so the identities of the other Knights are left out of the OP. All the humans use a unique form of ESP called Domain Control that changes to fit their personalities. They are all awesome and badass in their own ways! However, although they are totally awesome, the real focus of this manga isn't on the fights but the really good character development everyone, from Yuuhi and Sami to random one-shot characters all receive. This is one of the best manga I've ever read and it will make you laugh and cry (or at least tear up a little bit.) Highly recommended!
