    Would it be stupid too...

Buy both of the Umineko PS3 games, with no knowledge of the Japanese language?

I own and have played each translated episode of the Visual Novel, so I would basically be relying on memory of that to know what was going on while playing the PS3 game...

On an semi-related note, what are the odds of it ever getting localized? Because if it is, I can save myself $200+ >>

I hope this is the right place for this >.<

It won't be localized. Ever. I can't say if it's stupid or not, but so long as you enjoy it it won't be a waste.

Will it provide you with 300 bucks worth of entertainment? (or however much it costs)
    Code:

Far more then $200 worth... Then it's settled! Also, nobody thought the Black Rock Shooter game would be localized either... At least, no one I spoke too.

The difference is one's a game. The other isn't.

What Kenta said. Console visual novels have almost no market in the US.

I've had a similar dilemma regarding Tiger Colosseum; Tiger Colosseum Upper and Tales of VS...I think I've decided to go for them, though they won't cost me $200+ :/ (I'll be likely spending $100+ for Unlimited Codes PS2 for the figma...)
