This had my eyes literally glued to the screen. This was a short but SUPERB piece of writing. I'd love to see more of such stories. They make me feel warm and happy.

So, Iri and Kiritsugu are taking care of Ilya as her daughter, and Saber is being Shirou's "stepmom", right?

Saber is involved in looking after both kids, but you know how sometimes a child can have a closer bond with one parent? That's basically the type of bond Shirou and Saber have. Saber loves Ilya and would do anything for her, but Shirou is her boy, and Shirou wants to be like her when he grows up.

Sounds good to me...though I do wonder what Shirou's interaction is with Iri, too...if you're willing to reveal or say that, Beam. ^^

Well, I'm not sure how Shinji is friends with Shirou here, actually, and seemingly not a total dick. I've not even seen any mention of Sakura or Rin yet....
