I'm still wondering - is this a levitating land-shark deity made of lasers, or is it actually a sky-shark deity (made of lasers)? Important information, you know.

I'm saying it's a deity of air, water, and light. Air is flying, water is shark, and and light is lasers.

...my mind was blown from Nanaya and a Shark with frickin' laser beams...which was apparently made of light.
Now I have to decide if White Len found it amusing, but had her Tsun-Tsun on...or if she was just flat-out annoyed.

Of course she's being a Tsundere! Why, anyone would be instantly aroused simply from watching a fight like that!

This is the stuff dreams are made out of.

Yeah, the only thing I can complain about that Nanayas speech felt a little too...normal. He loves to speak in like a stage actor, in overly dramatic ways, like "May your soul scatter vividly in color" and stuff like that.
But this would have made "fucking shark made out of lasers..." impossible, so yeah.

Awesome, Blobble! Really awesome! Sorry for not saying anything when I read this, but I was pretty busy with my finals, and later I just forgot!

Aha. That makes sense as to how he survived, and also how this whole thing started.


That aquarium was a magical aquarium, wasn't it? And it was where the shark was being kept.

So of course one of the enchantments on it would be that the glass would be able to withstand the shark's elemental nature.


When he dipped the knife into the water, he woke the shark up, or otherwise spurred it into action--I mean, the shark got a taste of its master's blood. That must have been a sure sign to it that something had gone dreadfully wrong. And then, the sound he heard that made him turn and throw his knife, must have been the shark starting to wake up/manifest/get out of the aquarium. When he broke the glass and got some of it on him, he must have had the luck of the devil -- because he'd gotten some of that enchanted glass on him.

So when it shot lasers at him, he unknowingly had protection/immunity to them.

Excellent.

That bit of Fridge Brilliance in a simple fight scene just made the whole story seem so much better. Like, at least 20% cooler.
