Also, now I realize Jouji Nakata voiced both Diethard and Kirei, and both characters are pretty damn similar, I now think the two of them would have a wonderful Jouji Nakata alliance and fuck with everything while sitting back and grabbing some popcorn.

If Kirei were in the Geassverse, he'd probably easily get into the Black Knigths, which he would proceed to immediately sabotage. Now I'm suddenly getting the idea for Shirou/Rin and Kirei struggling against each other using the various factions of Code Geass...Just a dumb idea, but still.
So everyone's fighting on the same side against these new enemies, and Lelouch is either a Code Bearer or has a full Geass? Sweet.
It's really weird. I should be bothered by how it undermines all his efforts to complete the Zero Requiem, but I'm just so glad to see Lelouch again.

Also, compilation films aren't big movers and shakers in the American market, so they don't care. It's way more profitable to market actually new content instead of stuff that's already available in unabridged form elsewhere. Gotta minimize expense and maximize them profits.

ALSO Also, I watched the compilation films a while ago, and while it was nice and comforting and reminding to see all that old Code Geass stuff again, the films certainly aren't a substitute for the watching the show itself--and unless Shirley ends up playing a somewhat significant role in R3, there's no real benefit to taking her off the hook in the films.

I must know, which is the most popular Lelouch ship, Lelouch x CC, Lelouch x Kallen, or Lelouch x Shirley? I personally support the second one, but just want to know which one you guys think is the most popular right now, especially considering what I have heard about Re;surrection and its ships.
I've watching Code Geass again since there were some episodes in the second season I never watched. I'm at episode 22 right now...

I finished watching the first season of Code Geass. One of the things I really love about it is the contrast and conflict between Lelouch and Suzaku, without them knowing about it. Like Lelouch asking if it's good to be strong and Suzaku asking if it's bad to be weak. Or the conversation they had in the school about the Black Knights. These two were best friends who, after being separated, followed completely different paths only to be reunited under bad circumstances.
Euphemia was too good for this world. Like I watched episode 22 without context a few times when it was on my TV before. But I had hard time watching it this time because I knew what was coming. That shouldn't have had to of happened to her. Even though the possibility of Lelouch's Geass going out of control was foreshadowed with Mao... Speaking of Mao, him being so crazy made him so funny to me. I liked how his Geass made him a difficult opponent for Lelouch, and it was cool seeing how he had to deal with someone who read his mind.
I also liked how in episode 25 Suzaku saying that he would take care of Nunally, the biggest reason why Lelouch was fighting just made him Lelouch snap and pull out his gun too. The episode ending with the shot and not knowing what happened afterwards must have been something for the people who were watching it when came out. I'm probably going to watch something else before starting R2 though.

I started rewatching the season season of Code Geass and finished the first 2 episodes. One of my favorite parts of the first episode was when Lelouch was going over the events that happened after the Black Rebellion failed and his viewpoint on it. It was interesting to hear his takes on it from the outside.
He had his memories altered for a year, but once he understood the situation, he was able to lead the Black Knights to victory by dropping the whole building on the enemy forces and escaping through it. He didn't lost a step at all.

Code Geass R2 Episode 3-4: So that's how he got Rolo on his side. Lelouch planned that sniper attack from the very beginning, that's just amazing.

Code Geass R2 Episode 5: And just like that, Lelouch took down all of the people who were watching him, except Suzaku who came back to Ashford. The Tristan is so cool, and Gino is a fun guy too. That trick Suzaku pulled at the end was so bad for Lelouch, he can't even talk to the person that's he fighting for...

Code Geass R2 Episode 6: The Guren falling down after shot by the Lancelot Conquista and getting a upgrade in mid-air was amazing. Definitely my favorite moment of this episode.
