Also SB has a smaller clone with SV now, the main difference being it has one of the most weird-ass intricate anti corruption moderation systems of checks and balances I have ever seen on a forum.

That's what happens when a forum is born from admin drama and empowered by people jumping ship from a forum with (at the time) dying hardware.
I am of the personal belief that the Tsukihime Remake is two years from release. It will remain as such until a release date is announced, at which time its actual release date is 6 months after that date.Originally Posted by Nasu

At least the language has been beautiful enough that it makes me want to track down the original.

Tattletale is one of those characters who's very situational.
She's sympathetic because she works with the main character, helps her, and the two of them become friends.
When she isn't on the side of the protagonist, suddenly her abilities become the most infuriating thing imaginable, especially when paired with her tendency for smug exposition.
That said I like her, it's just that I'd never want to run into her personally.
She's kind of insufferable in general because she coasts by on massive, ridiculous amount of plot armor that makes other people not make her shut up.

To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.
I prefer not to take into consideration how characters are handled in fanfics as a rule.

But I mean, this is the typical Tattletale confrontations:
Tattletale starts talking.
Character massively more powerful than her tells her to shut up.
Tattletale keeps talking.
Character massively more powerful than her proceeds to keep listening until it's too late.
I mean, yeah, I get that most people in Worm don't want to resort to violence but I refuse to believe Jack Slash is the only person in the universe who realized that he should act on his threat to physically shut her up. And even then for some reason the completely amoral psychopath didn't just kill her.

I try to keep it from coloring my perception of the character as a whole, especially in the canon work.
That said, when it comes to other fanfics there's no such restraint, because those trends feed into one another and rise to greater heights.
This is why Tattletale works best in a support role, where she can exposit without causing you to wonder why someone doesn't punch her in the face.
Of course, since she's Tattletale she'll make you wonder that anyway, but you have to take what you can get.
Worm just doesn't seem to understand social combat, or that the best way to avoid it is to join battle as soon as the other person opens their mouth. Maybe it comes from taking a bunch of lessons from comic books, or maybe it's just because the author likes having characters talk.
I think it's the last thing. His newest work is... talky.
So, so talky.
Also, for someone with a hard-on for comics, he seems to be curiously inept at writing cool fights. There are some nice moments, but they're few and far between, relative to the sheer number of them.

I just remember starting worm because someone here suggested it, then dropping it towards the end of the Slaughterhouse 9 saga cause I was getting bored.

Ah yes, Pact. Isn't that the one where the world as a whole is better off, but the protagonist suffers much more?
Well, comic books are a visual medium. I imagine that those kinds of fights he likes don't translate well to the written word.
Come to think of it, the whole comic book inspiration might be why his character descriptions are so...unique.
