I may have already asked this, but do any of you guys see the eerie similarities between Souren Araya and Enrico Pucci? I mean seriously, some of the similarities make it feel as if Araki had read KnK prior to writing Stone Ocean, though the likelihood of that is small.

vaguely religious-themed men with deep voices. beyond that there is nothing in common

pucci's goal is so completely at odds with araya's it's hard to see where you are getting this idea

Mostly in regards to methods. Both of them engineered a conflict between youths who shared some trait in common in order to push up their own ambitions. That, and Pucci also wanted to recreate the universe so that everyone was aware of their fates, eliminating the emotions of shock and surprise. Furthermore, both awakened the abilities of their pawns in some way, Pucci with disks and Araya awakening their Origins.

the methods are standard stock in trade for fantasy villains, especially in anime

their goals and motives - to say nothing of the obvious tonal and thematic differences between knk and jojo - remain entirely at odds

Seeing as KnK wasn't published for the general public to read until 2004, and Stone Ocean had already finished by then I'd say the likelihood is less than just "small."

And as Dullahan says, the similarities between Araya and Pucci are superficial at best.

Oh, my timeline was WAY off then. I know Stone Ocean was finished in 2003, but I for some reason thought KnK was written and published by 1986.

'86? Nasu didn't even release Notes until 1999.

Sure, he had ideas for Fate as far back as high school, which is why Fate/Prototype is a thing we have now, but Nasu hasn't been in the game quite as long as you seem to think.

Hey guys, would Mata Nui from Bionicle be considered a god in Nasuverse criteria, or would he be closer to a Demi-God if he was summoned as a Servant? Or would he be lacking any divine traits as a Servant at all, as he would be summoned in his "Toa" body instead of his actual form?

And for anyone unsure of his legend, here's a biography from Biosector01.com

    Mata Nui

Would the Joestar family's Star birthmark and their ability to sense other holders of the mark/those who share their blood count as a Sorcery Trait?

If you're talking about Mata Nui's Toa form from the Glatorian arc, then he'd be a Demi-God at best. He was created by the Great Beings after all, rather than representing some aspect of humanity or nature. Adding in his general legend and mythology from the giant-robot-planet days and Mask of Life powers might be enough, but I think it all depends on whether you count the Great Beings as gods or not.

That said, I'm just going off of the TYPE-MOON wiki and my memory, not the most reliable sources in the world. It might be possible for him to have a higher divinity or god status, especially with all the Grand Order loopholes in Servant summoning (and Mata Nui's own weird history as a planet-robot turned Mask turned tiny-bot Jesus style).

So would it be possible for Ness (Earthbound) to be considered the TYPE of Earth? I had this idea where Ness recieves grim premonitions that Gygas is returning, even stronger then before, this time he needs to seek out the other TYPES in order to stand a chance.

Basically the story would be Ness traveling and meeting the various others TYPES in order to gain their friendship and aide in fighting off the returning Gygas.

Probably not. He's still human after all, and does he embody the Planet itself or is he Earth's strongest being?

Ness Explicitly gains the planets backing in order to be able to fight Gygas.

Arcueid has the backing of Gaia, and she isn't a Type.

Probably the best way to frame Ness in TM is that he's portrayed and thought of by everyone as a psychic but in a twist turns out to be a divine child.

I'm like... 90% sure within the Tsukihime setting Arc was created to be Earths TYPE.

    Earth doesn't have a Type

And Gil had the potential to be Type-Earth
